-7 Year Time Skip-

Erza woke to the other person in her bed whimpering. She looked down at Lucy and moved some hair out of her face. Seven years had passed, but the nightmares still remained. They came less frequently, yet still packed quite the punch. Erza kissed Lucy's head before whispering.

"Wake up Lucy. It's just a dream. You're safe." Erza pulled Lucy close to her as she tried to calm the shaking girl down. Escaping the camp was only the first step in their freedom. Now they had to create a different life with happy memories. They had been happy. Once they escaped the camp, Lucy and Erza had built their own little cabin in the woods and tried to forget the camp. Their friends came to visit them often and they would talk about how much has changed. Mira and Cana even adopted a little boy and made their own family. Wendy and Chelia moved to the nearest city and found things to do there. Erza smiled into the early morning and Lucy looked up at her with a wary smile. They would always find ways to beat anything that came their way. Lucy kissed Erza's hand and closed her eyes.

"Thank you."

"Anytime." Erza had learned that she shouldn't question it when Lucy said thank you. The girl said it every morning when they woke up no matter what. Erza got used to it. She pulled Lucy in for a sweet kiss. "Care to accompany me outside while I get us some firewood?"

"Sure. I need to work in the garden anyways." Lucy grinned and kissed Erza's cheek before climbing out of bed and over to the closet. Erza looked over at Lucy.

"May I ask what the dream was about?"

"Just the camp." Lucy muttered quietly. Erza nodded. They shared the same nightmares at times, but in the morning they reminded themselves that the camp no longer existed. Erza walked over to the dresser and pulled out a shirt and shorts. She tossed her worn shirt off and felt fingers slide down her side. She leaned into the touch.

"Come on. Our friends are coming over today." Erza smiled and Lucy took her fingers away from Erza's scar. They finished getting dressed and walked outside into the cool air. Lucy smiled and sat down in her little garden while Erza made her way to the old tree stump to chop some wood. Lucy snuck glances at her wife and when Erza caught her she winked which made Lucy blush before turning back to her garden.

"Hey!"

"Mira! Cana!" Lucy turned to see their friends walking up to them. She saw Wendy and Chelia behind them as well. "Wendy, Chelia, and how can I forget little Max." Lucy picked up the little boy and he started laughing. Erza greeted them and ruffled the boy's hair.

"How are you two doing?" Mira asked.

"Good. Just working outside a little." Erza said as she looked at Lucy. "I need to go shower. Chopping wood makes you break a sweat." She said as she kissed Lucy's nose. "Entertain our guests for a bit."

"Sure thing beautiful." Lucy replied as Erza walked inside. Lucy saw her friends staring at her.

"You two are adorable." Cana said as she grabbed Max and tickled him.

"So are you guys."

"I hope you guys like cupcakes because Rogue decided to bake."

"Sting!" Lucy grinned and hugged him tightly. He had made it to the group shortly before morning the day after the escape. Rogue hugged everyone and crossed his arms. They had become friends despite everything that happened between them.

"Yeah well this guy didn't help. He ate most of them."

"What can I say, they were delicious." Sting laughed and soon everyone was laughing. It felt good to be surrounded by friends. Lucy had talked to some of her old friends and they even came out to visit a few times. Erza got along well with them. Lucy welcomed everyone inside and they all sat down and started reminiscing the past. Erza came into the room and sat down beside Lucy.

"Are you guys ever away from each other?"

"Shut up Cana."

"Well you guys are like glued to each other all the time."

"Can't help it. Erza is too addicting." Lucy grinned. She intertwined her fingers with Erza's and leaned back into her seat.

"Of course she is." They lapsed back into another conversation until someone knocked on the door. Lucy looked at Erza. They weren't expecting anyone else. Erza got up to answer it and when she opened the door, she was surprised.

"Is Lucy here?"

Lucy's ears perked up. That was the voice of her father. She looked at Erza and the red head sighed before letting him in. Everyone but Lucy and Erza went to a different room to give them privacy. Lucy faced her father with her arms crossed. Erza went and stood beside her wife protectively.

"Dad?"

"Lucy."

"What do you want?"

"I came to see you."

"Really? After you sent me to a camp that was hell and after seven years passed? I think you're a little late."

"I'm sorry."

"Sorry? Now you tell me."

"I heard about the camp and what it was really like, but I had no idea where you ran off to. I just recently tracked you down. Lucy I came to ask for forgiveness." He sighed. Lucy looked at Erza.

"Well. I forgave you awhile ago. I still don't care to be around you, but it did lead me to my new friends and wife." Lucy grinned and held Erza's hand.

"So this?"

"Is Erza. She saved my life."

"I guess I should have guessed." He walked forward and held his hand out. "I'm sorry. I still don't understand any of this, but I'm willing to try. Welcome to the family Erza." Erza shook his hand but held her smile back. "I guess I will be going now. I just wanted to see you again."

"We'll see each other again." Lucy said. Jude nodded and walked out the door. Erza looked at Lucy and they both let out a collective sigh.

"Well...that was unexpected." Lucy said.

"Yeah. At least you made up."

"I guess. I mean I still feel angry about the way he treated me, but it really did lead me to you."

"For that I am glad." Erza smiled and pulled Lucy close for a long kiss.

AN: That's it! Hoped you all enjoyed it :D
