Happy one year anniversary to Bonding! I remember starting this last Christmas break hehe... hope you enjoy this chapter as much as I did writing it! I decided to spruce up the surroundings a bit ;) It's a temporary setting, but they should get to have some real fun for a little while, right?

Bill awoke from his peaceful slumber, to the smell of….

Funnel cakes?!

He sat straight up, looking around him.

What the…

"Hell is going on?!" Hal finished Bill's thought when he sat up. Then, the two stared wide eyed at their surroundings. They were in the middle of a theme park. And not just any theme park-

The map in front of them read 'Universal Studios Orlando.'

"Ummm… is it wrong to be ever so slightly frightened right now?" Bill asked squeamishly. Hal didn't answer, just stood up from their bench. "This does not make any sense. At all."

Bill gulped, then a thought crossed his mind. "Where are the others?" Hal looked back. "Oh, bloody hell, of course… the rest of them!" Bill craned his neck. "Well, a lot of luck we'll have trying to find them in this crazy place!"

"We've got to try."

Over somewhere else in the park, Loki and Magnus woke up. "Bugger… damn… ouch…" Magnus muttered as he hit his head on a tree branch.

A tree branch?!

The cop's eyes blew wide. They were in some kind of theme park! "Where in Odin's name are we?" his companion grumbled, shielding his eyes from the merciless rays of morning sun.

"I believe we're…" Magnus swallowed, "In the United States... Florida..." Loki laughed. "Excuse me? The United States of America?" "You heard right. I don't know how in the blazes we got here, but… we just did."

Over in another section, Scott and Adam woke up. "My god…" Scott marvelled, regarding the park, "It's a miracle!" "You call this a miracle?" the vampire growled, "I preferred the nice, dark cave." Scott looked around. "Where are the others?"

Freddie woke up, and immediately rubbed his eyes to make sure he wasn't dreaming. "What is going on?!" he suddenly blurted, and James sat up, obviously flustered. "Uh…uh…" he said slowly, looking around. "The others," Freddie suddenly thought out loud, and helped James up.

They all wandered around, some getting funny looks due to their outfits, some mildly passing as regular people despite their natural height, and finally, they found each other.

"Where are we?!" Freddie asked, angrily kicking a slurpee cup on the ground. "We seem to be in Florida," Bill said nervously. "Yes, we've figured that much," Adam deadpanned, gesturing to a sign. Suddenly, James noticed something. "Wait- someone's missing!" They all looked around their group, and realized the soldier was right. Oakley wasn't with them.

Then, something dawned on Magnus, remembering what he had scolded the other blonde about the most. "I know where he is," he said with a knowing sigh.

They followed Magnus up to a map, where the young man looked over the various symbols. "Ah ha," he murmured, "This way."

He led them to a section of the park with lots of trees and adventurous looking things, and up a hill. "It's hotter than Hel up here," Loki said in disdain, and they all nodded in silent agreement.

Then, they got to where Magnus had been leading them, finding Oakley sitting in the designated smoking area.

"How did I know you would be here?" Magnus asked sarcastically, crossing his arms at the boy disapprovingly. Oakley looked up, and saw everyone. "Oh. You lot are here too? I woke up alone, so I thought I was just having some dream," he said, dragging on his cigarette contentedly, "A very lovely dream."

"This is not a dream!" Bill said, rushing forward in distress. "We're all awake, which is what doesn't make sense! We should be back in that dark cave together!"

The woman sitting a few places away from Oakley wearing a blue Back to the Future shirt gave them a funny look, and Loki sighed, yanking Oakley up by his shirt. "Let's go find a way out."

"But what about the cotton candy-" Bill whined. "Shut up!" Loki barked.

They made it to the entrance, but found that they couldn't get a step past the gates. When they tried to leave, there was some sort of… force or something, blocking their way.

"Great," Hal said, "Now instead of a cave, we're trapped in a madhouse!" "It doesn't look so bad," Bill noted, staring up at the large roller coasters, "I mean to say, if I wasn't so confused or panicked right now, I might want to go on one of these."

"Stop talking, Bill," Adam sighed, and Freddie gave a sharp nod as they all tried to figure themselves out. "Okay, so we just woke up in a different part of the world…" Magnus started.

"But we don't know what part of the world the cave was in, let alone if we were even on this world!" pointed out Oakley. James and Scott seemed spooked by this.

Again, they all looked at Loki, who gave a pointed laugh. "You think we were on Asgard? Did we not go over this the last bloody time this happened?"

They turned away. "Right... so what do we do now?" "We do the only sensible thing that is left to do," Scott said, "We enjoy ourselves."

They all turned in surprise. "What? That's a horrible idea! What if we're stuck here?!" Loki asked. "Then we might as well have fun while we're here," Hal commented, gazing around at a nearby ride called, 'Jurassic Park,' "That looks like fun."

Magnus scoffed. "Yes, I'm sure you would be particularly enthralled by it. I suppose you're the closest of all of us to their age." Adam cleared his throat, expecting to be given some sort of shared credit. "Oh, right. You. Sorry."

"I say we split up, and explore," Freddie said. "God, you're not in on this too now, are you?" Adam asked. "Look around!" Freddie exclaimed, an adventurous look in his eyes, "Live like there's no tomorrow!"

He then realized that he was talking to an immortal being, and rubbed his neck sheepishly. "Yeah... I'll meet you all back here at the end of the day." James decided to go with Freddie, who was on his way to Marvel Island.

"But-" Bill started, then exhaled as no one seemed to be listening to him. "Well... why not?" Scott smiled, and he went off in a different direction, "Care to join me, Hal?" he invited the prince, and Hal happily obliged, following his friend with linked arms. They went off toward the Shrek 4D ride.

"Bill, you and Oakley are coming with me," Magnus said. "Why?" Bill pouted, "I want to go have fun on my own!" "I don't trust either of you on your own. Now let's go."

The three blonde curly ones left, leaving Adam and Loki.

"Splendid," Loki growled. "Do you think I'm any more fucking thrilled about this than you are?" the vampire asked. "Nothing says we have to stick together," Loki pointed out. "You're right. I'll be going now."

They stood still, but with the both of them being equally awkward around people in a place full of people, they were hesitant to go off alone.

"Or..." "Or we could simply accompany one another around the park." "That would be fine." "Good." They went off in the direction of Diagon Alley.

Magnus, Bill and Oakley stood over by the Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit, shielding their eyes from the sun.

"Well," Bill remarked, gazing up at it, "It doesn't look too bad." "Really? I'd have thought you'd be scared shitless of this!" Oakley said, regarding the fast-moving coaster. "Well, why don't we try it out?" Magnus suggested, "If we don't like it, we don't have to go again."

The three walked up, and got in line.

"Oooh, look! We get to pick and listen to music while we're on it!" Bill enthused, rocking from his heels to his toes. They got on soon, since there wasn't much of a line, and Magnus and Bill took the front, Oakley behind them.

"This is so exciting!" Bill grinned, and Oakley rolled his eyes. Magnus selected 'U Can't Touch This,' by MC Hammer, Oakley selected 'Insane in the Brain,' by Cypress Hill, and Bill selected 'Don't Phunk With My Heart,' by the Black Eyed Peas.

The ride started. "Um... this looks pretty high... and we're going straight up..." Bill suddenly said, biting his nails. "I thought you were excited for this," Magnus smirked, and Bill steeled himself. "Yes. Right. Never mind, I am," he said quickly. Oakley smiled behind them.

As they were pulled over the first big drop, Oakley lost his air of too-cool-to-have-fun and threw his arms up, screaming, "Fuck yeah!" Bill held on for his dear life. Magnus wasn't really scared or terribly thrilled one way or another, he had been through too much as a cop to be, but he still enjoyed the ride.

When it was over, Bill was speechless. Oakley put on his sunglasses, and Magnus ran a hand through his force-blown hair. "Well?" the latter asked Bill, and the younger boy took a second, before grinning. "Again. Now."

So they got back in line, oblivious to the hijinx Hal and Scott were getting up to just around the corner on Shrek...
