"Who the hell are you…?" Nova questioned angrily as he watched an unknown costume man approach him. Match lay, chained to the ground beside him. Red Hood and Red Arrow had been dispatched on a mission to Guatemala. A rather infamous crime lord, Black Mask, had set up base there in an attempt to hide until the heat he had garnered on himself to die away. Naruto's recently made allies were there to ensure that not only did that heat die down, but so did Black Mask.

The figure wore the same type of Akatsuki cloak that Sasuke Uchiha had during his tenure with them, with an Anbu chest plate over the chest. The hood of the cloak was pulled up and an orange mask with black flames spreading from the left side of the face covered the features of who he was. Silence reigned between the two, mix matched eyes meeting a violent blue. Then, the man spoke, "I'm you." Naruto replied. "From another dimension where the Justice League is not the Justice League."

"Explain before I relieve your shoulders of the burden of holding your damn head up." The orange masked Naruto stood in silence once again as Nova's eyes began to illuminate themselves.

"Very well. I'm from a different dimension with a version of the Justice League named the Justice Lord. It was exactly the same as yours, once upon a time. But everything changed. My version of the League lost their Flash. Superman killed Lex Luthor." Nova's eyes widened before chuckling.

"I was giving you the benefit of the doubt, but that statement just proved that you can't be telling the truth. That boy scout would never kill anyone. It's not in his nature. He's too busy being a hero. Throwing Luthor in jail, then letting him out. Letting him kill someone or destroy another person's life before throwing him back in jail. The cycle repeats because he's far too gone in his preconceived notion of what being a hero means. Now, I'll give you thirty seconds to explain to me who you are exactly."

"I'm you." The orange masked Naruto insisted. "Realize that this is a different dimension and that everything is not the same in that world as it is in this one. The Justice Lords are a band of former heroes who are not afraid to kill. The basically have the entire world in a dictatorship." Nova tilted his head before he walked forward.

"Okay, hypothetically, if this is all true then it must be a grand world that you live in. A world where the protectors of the Earth have stood up and finally become the protectors that the world needs. Tell me, how many lives have been saved in your universe that wouldn't have been saved if it had persisted as mine has?"

"You're not grasping the point that I'm trying to make apparent to you. The world that I'm living in is not a good one. It is a world ruled exactly like the one that Obito was left in. Don't you understand the point that I'm trying to get across? If you continue on the path that you're on you're going to become exactly what you used to despise. It's not too late to make amends. It's not too late."

"What do you call yourself? What made you different than me?" Nova questioned from behind his mask.

"I'm simply Nova. No Nova Prime, no Prime at all. Just Nova. As to why I'm different, well, I changed my ways in a situation exactly similar to yours. Match became better mentally. I was able to keep him alive, and I was able to rehabilitate him. He changed my views of the world. I am one of the very few that are left to oppose the Justice Lords."

"You fight against people who have actually set themselves up to protect the world?" Nova questioned harshly.

"No. I fight against people who follow the same past as Obito. You need to stop this path. If you keep traveling down this path you're going to end up devising your own Eye of the Moon Plan. Set down the path you've begun. See the truth, see the world for what it is. It isn't too late to change your future. Go to the League. Surrender. Make amends for what you have done and turn your life around." Nova chuckled in response to the orange mask wearing Naruto's statement.

"I'm done with this." Nova stated as he turned away from his alternate universe counterpart. "Go back the way that you came. You're wrong in what you're saying. I'm doing right in this universe. I'm doing what I should have done in my own. I'm getting rid of the threats that have spread throughout the world. And you… You're an idiot. A fool that has forgotten the reason that we started on our quest for peace."

"The only thing I forgot," The orange mask wearing Naruto stated, reaching up and removing said mask from his face to reveal that he bared the exact same features as his opposite, "Is the bigoted hate that I let hold me down for so long. There comes a point in your life where you have to lay your hate down. Where you have to set aside your weapons and learn the importance of peace and justice. Fear and hate is not how you save the world. Love, and understanding, that is how you save the world."

"Love and understanding?" Nova laughed as he spun around to face his opposite, removing his own mask and allowing his eyes to fade away to red and purple. "I tried that once upon a time, you know? When we were in a world surrounded by fear and hate. It didn't do anything but almost get me killed, time and time again. This world is not in need of that type of hero. This world is in need of a hero that will do what is needed to be done. This world needs a hero that will kill their nightmares. This world needs me."

"This world needs men like me." The Akatsuki cloak wearing Naruto rebutted. "Men like the Superman and Batman of this world. Women like your Wonder Woman and Supergirl. This world needs men and women who will save it by doing the right thing, not just what they think is the right thing." Nova Prime snorted in response as an Earthquake like rumble rocked throughout the entire city they resided in. "What was that?"

"You think I would know?" Naruto questioned as he levitated himself off of the ground, followed closely by his counterpart. "But it won't take me long to find out, and fix whatever it is that is happening."

"You see? There it is. The part of you that you need to lay down!" Nova Prime said nothing in return as he continued to fly through the air. When the pair arrived on the scene of the ruckus, they found what looked to be the Justice League, though Naruto automatically attributed them to the 'Justice Lords' as they appeared somewhat different, fighting a grey skinned monster with what appeared to be bones sticking from its skin.

The Justice Lords put up a short fight as the beast constantly rebutted them before slamming Superman into the street, sending him to a sewer below. Naruto narrowed his eyes and flew forward as the beast began to pummel the alternate version of the Man of Steel. "Sorry, ugly." Naruto called out as he slammed into the beast, sending it into a wall. "I've been fighting the war on freaks like you the right way by myself for too long. Now that there are people here to take care of the scum of the Earth the right way, I'm not letting you get in the way."

The beast roared at Naruto before it lurched forward, attempting to side swipe him. However, Superman blasted through the air and slammed into its side, knocking it off kilter. "Nova Prime, it's been a long time since I've since that mask. I'd forgotten that you would be here if this Earth's version of us were still good." He stated as Naruto chuckled, his eyes burning brightly.

"Shinra Tensei!" A large blast echoed throughout the sewer, knocking the beast into a wall as Naruto stalked forward. "That's not necessarily true. There's no proof that, with all this alternate universe stuff being true, I wouldn't be like your version of me." Superman smirked in response to the statement as both his and Naruto's eyes began to light with a crimson red color.

"Don't do it!" Naruto's alternate self cried out as he rushed forward to stop the two Men of Steel. He was too late, however, as their laser beams cut through the air and slammed into the beast's bone above his eyes. The monster roared out in pain as the beams seared through its skull. Then, it collapsed to the ground, unmoving. "Damn it! Didn't you listen to a single word I said!?"

"You see, that's the Nova I know now." Superman stated, indicating to the furious orange mask wearing man. "He's the one that made me realize that no matter how I turn out, the Nova in continuity with me exists to be the exact opposite of me. No matter what your Superman is like, you'll always be the exact opposite of him. It is what you were created to be. That is your destiny, to always be his opposite." Naruto's nose wrinkled underneath his helmet at the word destiny. He had never been a friend to the word, destiny.

"Where's the Justice League, Clark?" Nova questioned from behind his orange mask, obviously through gritted teeth. "What have you done with them?"

"What needed to be done." Superman stated simply. "They needed our help, even if they wouldn't have admitted it. And you, Nova… You need to leave here. Before my temper runs thin and the Lords take you down for being the vigilante that you are." Nova remained standing for a moment before he began to levitate into the air, and out of the sewer system.

"If you help that man, you're helping a murderer." He stated to Nova Prime. "But, then again, what does it matter to you? You're a murderer too."

"As are you." Nova Prime returned, just before his opposite disappeared from view. "You just won't admit it because you've gone soft." Naruto stood in placing, watching after the spot the opposite him had disappeared from before Superman spoke.

"Come with me. The Lords are going to fix the League's watchtower. They've let it vulnerable and that came back to bite us in the ass way too many times."

Break

Naruto chuckled as he sat in a chair within the new Justice League/Lords headquarters. "Never thought I would set foot here." He stated moments before an alarm resounded throughout the area. "What is that?"

"It's Luthor." Martian Manhunter stated as he came down to the level he sat on with the Justice Lords.

"Escaped again?" Superman questioned.

"Yes, and this time with a hostage-"

"Don't do it." Hawkgirl stated as she walked over.

"Why not? It worked pretty well back home."

"But here, they're not ready for it."

"We'll see about that." Superman stated as he began to walk away, Naruto's eyes narrowed behind his helmet as he sensed descension amongst the Justice Lords. Green Lantern and Wonder Woman stepped into the Man of Steel's way.

"Maybe we should all go." He stated, prompting Superman to lower his head and smile devilishly.

"Alright, I'm patient."

Break

The Justice Lords and Naruto burst into a room within which Lex Luthor stood, holding a gun. His eyes widened as they stalked forward toward their prey, Superman grabbing him by the collar of his shirt. "Where is the hostage?"

"There never was one." Luthor replied before he morphed into the Martian Manhunter of Naruto's world. Nova Prime's eyes widened as the martian smirked. "Sorry." He stated as he became invisible. Superman's fist phased through him as he fell through the floor. Nova Prime's Sharingan eye glowed brightly as his body became intangible, moments before electricity shot throughout the room, shocking the Justice Lords.

Hawkgirl used her mace to slam through the door of the cell they had been inside after a metal door had slid shut, blocking off the hole they had made. She was automatically blasted at by the League's Lantern after she was able to destroy the voltage machine that had controlled the electricity. The Manhunters both turned into serpent like creatures as they attacked each other and crashed through the roof.

The League's Lantern was blasted away by a large energy beam by the Lords' Lantern before they clashed against each other in battle. As the Lords' Wonder Woman was pulled away by the League's lasso of truth, Nova slammed into Nova Prime. Prime stumbled backward before ducking down under what would have been a violent punch. "You could have redeemed yourself." Nova stated vehemently, prompting Prime to chuckle in response.

"You think I care about being redeemed by people who call themselves heroes but don't follow through with what they should? Fat chance." Nova's eyes grew hot before blasting two laser beams at Prime, who met the attack with his own. "You're not going to beat me." He stated as his laser beams began to take control of the orange masked Naruto. "I'm faster than you."

He disappeared from where he had floated, Nova's beams shooting past as Prime's knee slammed into his abdomen. "Smarter than you." Prime grabbed Nova by his throat, holding tightly to him. "And stronger than you. What are you? A good two shoes boy scout like Superman? You are nothing." Nova choked as Prime's grip tightened, threatening to snap his neck.

"But I have something you don't." He returned in a wheezing voice. "Heart." With those words, he brought his own knee up, slamming it into Prime's throat. The darker Naruto dropped Nova and staggered backward through the air. His blue eyes became alight as two laser beams slammed into what had once been Obito's war mask. Prime cried out, startled as the beams grew wider before enveloping his entire body with a large explosion.

His body spiraled through the air before violently crashing into the ground. Nova landed on the ground next to him, removing his mask as he walked toward Prime as the battle between the Justice League and Lords continued. "It doesn't have to be this way." Nova insisted as he bent down to one knee. "You can chan-" Prime's eyes snapped open behind his now cracked mask, two laser beams slamming into the heroic Naruto's eyes. Moments later, the Akatsuki cloak wearing blond collapsed to the ground, the beams having barreled through his skull.

"People can change." Prime snarled under his breath as he picked his former counterpart's orange mask up off the ground. "But only for the worst." With that, he levitated into the air. "Now, I have business to attend to with Match. I can't take the chance of turning soft like you did. Because you're exactly what this world doesn't need."

As the battle between the League and the Lords drew to a close, it would be discovered that neither Nova that had partaken in the battle remained, leaving those who had not witnessed the end of their fight to wonder what could have happened.

Sorry it's short, It's been a long time since I've written for Prime and I just wanted to put something out to try to get its momentum rolling again.
