You're not her, though I try to see you differently

There is a reason Anna doesn't trust herself with alcohol. The last time she stole a bottle of wine... Well lets just say its didn't turn out how she planned.

She intended to drink enough for her to not be so scared to break up with Kristoff. There was no way she could do this sober. A few sips in she was doing fine. Thinking up the exact words. A glass down and she was ready to go. Bottle still in hand Anna went to the stables and got about as far as the third stall before sitting down next to a foal and drinking directly from the bottle. This is also why Anna doesn't trust herself overthinking important decisions. She'll change her mind and then be stuck in the middle. She just couldn't deal with having to tell him it wasn't working when it was. They were fine together. Maybe less romantic than most relationships but Kristoff didn't have much social experience and Anna was just so awkward. They had an exception for that kind of stuff. Almost halfway through it, he found her and brought her to his cabin. Through the haze that was starting to set in, Anna managed to successfully stumble over by the fireplace and sit down. (Still carrying the bottle.)

In his little house they talked about things. Things they always talked about. The city, the people, Elsa, the weather, Elsa, his job, and sometimes... Elsa.

Not that is bothered him much... Er, as much as it would any other person... He probably figured it out before she had. It made sense too. In her years of castle confinement, Anna may or may not have found a few of the ever-changing female staff members at least a little attractive But that's no big deal. A girl can say another girl is pretty without wanting to jump on her. Sure, she loved Kristoff but in more of a big brother way.

And Hans? He was right. She just wanted to feel loved again. Some part of her hoped that he could have filled the hole she had made for Elsa... Or maybe from Elsa... He had the smile, he had the hair and her certainly had the charm. But it never would have worked anyway. Anna knew that. There wasn't enough Elsa in Hans for her to really love him.
Now that she was thoroughly intoxicated she was able to go from raving about attractive people to flat out depressed in seconds. Anna had drinken almost the entire bottle before Kristoff took it away. As she was falling asleep he heard her mumble a distinct "You're not her..."

Then that was it.

Then she's out cold. So no more drinking for Anna. Not, at least, when she has secrets that can't be told... That means she needs to stay as far away from alcohol as she can for right now. No was can anyone know how she feels... Or thinks she feels for that matter.

Anna could feel herself being gently pushed backwards until her back was pressed a wall. One cool hand resting on her shoulder and another slowly making its way up her side. She didn't need to open her eyes to know it was Elsa. It just felt like her. Suddenly Elsa pulled away and a disappointed found herself staring into very blue and very dilated eyes. It was about then when Anna realized how ragged their breath was, heavy from lust more than exhaustion. Smiling slightly she pushed some hair that fell over Anna's face out of the way.

"I love you,"

Once again their lips met and hands roamed.

"I love you so much."

Her head was spinning and she felt herself flying- Wait no. Falling.

"Anna I swear to God."

She felt like she was falling through the wall. When she landed on the thinly carpeted floor her eyes shot open to see light blue heels just inches from her face. "Anna, you're such an idiot."

She rolled over to her side. "Well you don't have to yell at me..."

Elsa rolled her eyes. "I'm not- I" She lowered her voice to a whisper. "Look, we have the royal couple and their child coming to visit from Denmark and they're scheduled to arrive today. If you could tidy yourself up to at least be acceptable that would be wonderful." The most she got out of that was 'royal', 'child', 'today', and 'up.'

"A royal child is being born today and a baboon is going to hold it up?" She covered her head with her arms while mumbling some other incoherent words.

"I said nothing about... What is a squashed banana I don't." Elsa took a deep breath. "Anna. Remember when I told you that the King and Queen of Porte af Havet wants to show off their son to us? They're supposed to arrive today."

Anna raised her head to look her sister in the eye and say "What do you want me to do about it? Dress in man clothes and dance like the Polish?"

"Elsa this boy is sixteen years old." Anna whispered. "You knew the alphabet before he was even born."

Her sister sat poised in perfection was she said "I realize this now. I thought they said they were going to visit. Not ask for my hand."

"You're not going to actually consider it, are you?" A wave of fear rushed through her.

"No."

"Your majesties, may I present King Christopher the Second, Queen Margaret Sambiria, and their son Eric the Fifth." Kai lowered his head down slightly as he extended his arm. Both Arendelle sisters stood as the three visitors along with everybody brought with them bowed. Anna glanced at Elsa and noticed she had on a fairly convincing poker face. Anyone who didn't know her as well would never have guessed.

"Welcome to Arendelle, I trust you had safe, if not pleasant travel?"

The King was first to rise. "Yes. We made it through the German Ocean with sunny skies and a pleasant wind. Too bad your King and Queen did not."

Anna noticed Elsa tense and another wave washed over her. Only this time it was rage. How dare he-

"Neither of my parents have rule over this Kingdom. I am the queen, therefore you will address me as the sole ruler of it. They are not my king or queen." Elsa held a glare until the guests backed down. "I understand we have business to discuss?"

This time the queen answered, "Yes."

"Fair enough. Dinner will be served and you may all adjust yourself back onto land then we shall begin in the late afternoon?"

Everyone agreed and the foreigners were escorted to the main dining hall. Anna caught the king shooting a nasty scowl at Elsa. Whether these Danish royals were here to marry off their son or pull some sort of Hans stunt, she didn't like the vibe they set off. Maybe part of her felt her parents blood was on their hands. It was in their waters that the couple went missing.

On her way to her room to dress in dining clothes she passed the picture of her veiled parents and felt her own heart drop right out of her chest. Nearly four years later she still can't even try to look them in the eye. Even as she's falling to the ground with all sounds muffled and her chest bursting with sudden pain she only watched their feet until she blacked out in the middle of the hall.

Whenever it was painful, whenever I was away, I'd miss you...
And I miss you.

A/N: Goddamn with track and state testing and my plan being screwed up because I figured more plot writing this has become more of a chore than just something I do for fun but whatever. Starting this was a promise that I'm going to see it through and I intend to keep my promises. So here's this. But seriously with track now I probably have probably 30 thirty minutes a day to do this so... Sorry... :) thanks for sticking with me this far by the way. Its been going down about 300 views a chapter so this should have about -100 views
