Chapter 3
Five years later Skynet had finally reached a position where he could start to strike back at the enemy.
While still not having spaceships due to a lack of hyperdrive technology Skynet had compensated for that with his hunter-killer aerial units tracked hunter-killers and the armoured endoskeletons that were a refined development of the Altairan androids.
Skynet was preparing for his first major strike against the Goa'uld when his latest probe to Heliopolis reported success when he next dialled in.
Once this report was received Skynet sent dozens of replicants and terminator units to Heliopolis to access the database and to transmit the knowledge back to Skynet at Crystal Mountain.
Katherine Brewster ran her hand over John's muscled chest and sighed.
They have been lovers for just over a year now much to her parents disapproval.
As John sleep quietly beside her Kate ran a hand down her own swelling abdomen and smiled.
She wasn't along in being pregnant, nearly all the teenage and adult were either pregnant or had had children in the last few years.
Even her parents had had two other children due mainly to the fact the contraception was limited to the rhythm method.
For all his assistance to Terra Nova Skynet was still a machine and he hadn't bothered to allocate the resources to recreate the Earth's pre-attack methods of contraception.
To Skynet's point of view the Surviving Earth humans had to start reproducing to increase their numbers if they wanted to survive.
To assist with this more humans had been taken from Abydos and Edora to add to the gene pool of Terra Nova along with the other earth humans Skynet had relocated.
The Earth now was a very different world to that which Apophis had devastated.
It was now covered with automatic mining robots and deep underground manufactories with more being built every day.
Once the earth was built up to a level unparalleled in human history Skynet will turn his attention to the other worlds in the Sol system not to mention Edora and Abydos.
For now Skynet was about to launch his first attack in the vengeance war against the Goa'uld.
The target he had chosen was a world belonging to the Goa'uld Heru'ur.
This world was chosen for a number of reasons with them being it was a world rich in naquadah but more important to Skynet was the fact that there were grounded Al'kesh and tel'teks near the Jaffa camp.
Furthermore he was in luck as a Goa'uld ha'tak had landed just an hour before his last intelligence package was received and the chance to gain these ships were far more important to Skynet than it was to capture the naquadah mines on the world.
Skynet had put a lot of thought into the plan to capture these ships.
The destroyed death gliders of Apophis had shown him the weaknesses of the Goa'uld computer systems and each of the Terminators being sent through that stargate on this mission has special crystals to place in the control circuits of any craft they came across.
These crystals were special as they contained an artificial intelligence designed to take control of Goa'uld vessels and either fight them for Skynet or if the vessel was capable of hyperspace travel to return them to the Earth for study and reverse engineering.
After one further study of the plan of attack Skynet dialled the stargate and sent his minions to commence the first battle of the vengeance war against the Goa'uld.
The Jaffa of Heru'ur had been weary of the strange god magic's that had been coming through the Chappa'ai for days now.
They knew they were god magic's because they either avoided their staff blasts or shrugged them off and continued on whatever mission their god had given them.
These Jaffa had become used to these god magic's flying around and if they didn't fire on them then these god magic's ignored the Jaffa.
They weren't surprised when the chappa'ai activated again but they were surprised by what come out.
Dozens of flying god magic's shot out of the gate but unlike the earlier ones these ones were barely able to fit through the stargate.
They were followed by similar but slightly smaller ones that rode on continuously moving tracks.
But what were worst of all were the daemons that poured through after them shooting at anything that moved with their strange bulky staffs.
The Jaffa at the chappa'ai guarding it were quickly overwhelmed by the terminators who then proceeded to run full pelt towards the grounded Goa'uld vessels.
While the terminators were fulfilling their mission the various hunter-killers proceeded to slaughter the Jaffa on the ground and smash the death gliders from the sky.
This battle was not without cost to Skynet's forces as the staff cannons and the cannons on the death gliders were able to punch through the hunter-killers armoured chassis.
As the terminators reached their targets resistance increased immensely still the Jaffa were in no way prepared to deal with machine intelligences that didn't feel pity pain or fear
Jolinar of Malkshur stood petrified as these metal skeletons took control of the ha'tak she had been imprisoned on.
The torture she had endured at the hands of a minor Goa'uld in the service of Heru'ur was nothing in comparison to what Heru'ur would inflict.
Yet it now appears that she will never get to experience Heru'ur's tender mercies.
Not that these machines were any better it appears.
These metal skeleton machines had slaughtered the Jaffa and Goa'uld alike.
Any who showed even the slightest of resistance was shown no mercy and were gunned down without any sign of pity or remorse.
When the metal skeleton machines discovered her chained in a cell they merely observed her for a moment and then went about their own mission paying her no heed.
While Jolinar pondered this she feels a familiar sensation through her body.
The sensation was that of a ha'tak launching itself into orbit.
Five hours later more of these metal skeleton machines re-entered her cell.
They then proceeded to tear apart the chains holding her and dragged her into the quarters formally used by the minor Goa'uld.
She had no sooner go her bearings than she tripped over the dead body of the room's former occupant.
Her screams echoed down the corridor yet no body or anything responded to her cries.
No sooner had she recovered then the metal skeleton machines returned dumping buckets of water and food on the floor before leaving her.
Jolinar went to the door and opened it only to be greeted by a barrel of a weapon far larger than any human or Jaffa could wield.
The metal skeleton machine holding the weapon uttered not a word merely gestured for her to step back into the room and shut the door.
This time Jolinar heard the locks slam into place.
She decided to inspect the contents of the buckets.
It appears that these machines had just dumped the contents of the larder into the buckets without concern for savoury, sweet, heat or fragrance.
At least the water buckets contained that just water.
To Jolinar it seemed that these machines had received instruction and had followed them not knowing that mixing them would make a horrid taste.
It would taste like shit but you could survive on it.
The question on Jolinar's mind was who had spared her and what did they want.
Skynet received the report of the successful completion of the mission with satisfaction.
Even though his losses were greater than expected his forces were victorious.
Skynet had ordered that the slaves be sent to Terra Nova for the humans to deal with.
Any hold out Jaffa or Goa'uld were to be destroyed on sight.
At the last moment Skynet made a snap decision from this time forward every time his forces were victorious they would strip the worlds of technology and Goa'uld equipment leaving nothing behind but the rotting corpses of the defeated.
Once this was done Skynet would send in his mining robots to strip mine this world of all available resources.
Skynet studied the interrogation of the captured Goa'uld prisoner with great interest.
This Jolinar of Malkshur seemed to have enormous of tactical and strategic intelligence on these Goa'uld System Lords.
More importantly this Jolinar of Malkshur claimed to be part of a faction of Goa'ulds that was ideologically opposed to the practices of the Goa'uld System Lords.
Skynet ponders how to use this font of knowledge this Jolinar of Malkshur represents.
As he contemplates this information the name Egeria triggers access to another data file.
This file contained information about a room on Abydos that the writings on the walls proclaimed how great a Goa'uld this Ra was.
It was part of this tale that interested Skynet as it told of how Ra had captured and imprisoned Egeria the traitor.
Even more important was the fact that the inscriptions on the wall gave Skynet the stargate address of Egeria's prison world.
As Skynet contemplates this information he thinks of the other object discovered in this chamber a large crystal lens that was described as the eye of Ra.
Skynet wondered why all these Goa'uld seem so self-absorbed.
It was obvious from even the initial examination by Skynet that the Goa'uld never possessed the technology to create something like that crystal lens.
Ever since Skynet had discovered that the Earth had been occupied and controlled by the Goa'uld he had been searching for artefacts but what Skynet had discovered startled him.
Not only had the earth been occupied by the Goa'uld but it had also been a colony of a far older and much more advanced race.
This race had apparently been based on what is now the southern polar continent.
When he had discovered this fact Skynet had expanded his search to include this race of ancient ones.
As he contemplated this Skynet wonders if this race is perhaps one of the four races that met on Heliopolis.
Skynet already knew that two of the races were met by the former Stargate commands premier team SG-1.
Both the Nox and the Asgard were due to be contacted again but as they had done nothing to stop the Goa'uld gaining so much control of the galaxy he didn't place recontacting these races high on his priorities.
The artefacts Skynet has discovered are fascinating to him.
Some of them are obviously Goa'uld in origin but others are from a far older race.
In fact to Skynet it appears that most of the Goa'ulds technology is just poor copies of technology developed by other races.
As Skynet ponder this he examines a metallic cube that was discovered in Central America that is emitting a strange type of energy.
Yet what startles Skynet is that this cube or something similar must have been the base technology for the Goa'uld sarcophagus' and pain sticks.
John Connor was not as resentful as he used to be of Skynet but he was still very weary of the hyper-intelligent machine entity.
As John stands beside one of the massive forms of Skynet's ion cannons that ring Terra Nova protecting it from all directions, he hears somebody quietly approaching.
Lt General Robert Brewster looks at his eldest daughters chosen partner and thinks that perhaps she has chosen well for the situation that the remaining Earth humans found themselves in.
He then remembers why he sort out John and said addressing John, "John. Your application to join the alien defence teams program has been approved.
You will be joining ADT-1 as its most junior member.
Go join your teammates and familiarise yourself with the,
Skynet has requested one of our human teams to assist with a mission he has planned.
Just remember John Skynet is not our enemy and the ADT's are not to engage the Goa'uld unless they have no other option.
If combat against Goa'uld forces is required then the ADT's are to retreat through the stargate and call in Skynet's combat units.
When the stargate activates for the first time in centuries the people of Pangar were justifiably terrified.
Yet no Jaffa exited the stargate.
Instead strange hovering machines exited the stargate and started investigating everything they observed.
Even closed doors and sealed rooms were no impediment as the hovering machines just seemed to pass through solid matter as if it wasn't there.
To the Pangaran government it appeared is if those machines were looking for something.
The hovering machines had showed a great deal of interest in the old ruins they were in the process of excavating and they suspected that they knew exactly what it was those machines were looking for.
Skynet was reviewing the intelligence gathered on Pangar.
The rebel Goa'uld Egeria who had created the Tok'ra was not in the temple and his drones had determined that the humans of this world were experimenting on a Goa'uld queen.
Deductive reasoning suggested that the humans had found Egeria and were using her for their own purposes.
This Skynet could not allow as it interfered with his long term plans.
Skynet ordered more of his forces to Pangar to recover Egeria by any means necessary.
The forces that were dispatched this time were not only hunter-killers of various types but also rubber coated endoskeletons to assist these units blend in more easily with human and Jaffa occupied worlds.
The Pangarans at first tried to stop Skynet's minions but soon they realised that they were hopelessly outclassed.
Terminator unit AK0115963574 stared at the Goa'uld queen swimming in the tank.
Scans showed evidence of cellular decay.
Suddenly the Goa'uld queen stopped swimming and observed the terminator unit.
The terminator unit signalled for a hunter- killer unit to enter the facility to transport the Goa'uld queen back to Skynet.
Once the minions of Skynet had left the Pangarans were shell shocked.
Bodies of the troopers littered the facility and the passage to and from the stargate as they attempted to stop these machines taking their only possible supply of tretonin.
The Pangaran military were still collecting the bodies of their dead when the stargate activated again.
They drew their weapons and waited for a return of those inhuman machines.
Only this time it wasn't machines that exited the stargate but a group of two dozen humans dressed in camouflage fatigues but carrying similar but smaller weapons to those carried by those beastly rubber covered machines.
Lt John Connor took one look at the scattered bodies of the Pangaran military and the hostile looks that were directed at them and muttered contemptuously, "Skynet!"
His Colonel responds, "Connor keep your mouth shut and your opinions to yourself."
Then letting his Westinghouse M25 phased plasma rifle fall to his side from his shoulder strap, he held out his arms and said, "Greetings! We are explorers we come in peace seeking trade and allies in our conflict against the Goa'ulds.
ADT-1 where then taken to the Pangaran First Minister who told them the whole sorry tale and how without a Goa'uld queen or a synthetic replica of the drug tretonin nearly a third of their population will die.
After having heard the Pangarans First Ministers story Colonel Thomas sighed and replied, "Unfortunately First Minister we are indirectly partly responsible for your situation.
The machines that came to your world are creations of a hyper-intelligent machine entity my people originally created to protect us from external threats.
When the Goa'uld attacked our world destroying the vast majority of our people Skynet responded by evacuating the survivors of my people to a new world that the Goa'uld had no knowledge of.
Even though he failed in his primary mission he still protects our people from external threats.
But now Skynet's goal is the destruction of the Goa'uld System Lords by any means.
The Goa'uld queen you possessed must therefore be more important to this cause than we both initially thought.
If you wish I could contact our leaders and they could petition Skynet on your behalf for the return of the queen or if possible the acquisition of a new one."
First Minister Dollen was stunned by the revelation that a machine entity had caused his people so much indirect harm.
It also bothered him that a people capable of creating such a machine had still been destroyed by the Goa'ulds.
After contemplating his people's situation for a few minutes he nods his consent and requests that he accompany any petition to this Skynet.
Skynet observes at the Goa'uld queen as it swims in the tank.
Scans indicate cellular decay that has reached the negative axis.
Without some external measures Egeria was dying.
Jolinar of Malkshur had been beside herself when Skynet had announced that Egeria was not dead but had been imprisoned.
When told that Egeria was dying Jolinar of Malkshur insisted that every effort short of using a Goa'uld sarcophagus should be attempted to save Egeria.
Jolinar even offered her host so that Egeria could live.
Skynet ponders this and also reviews the mission to Pangar.
The rubber coating of his endoskeletons had not been successful.
The endoskeleton units were only slightly less frightening to humans when covered in a rubber skin than they were as a bare combat chassis.
Skynet moves this issue to the top level of his research requirements as his endoskeletons need to be able to blend in with the Jaffa and human populations of the galaxy.
As he ponders this the stargate dials with an inward wormhole from Terra Nova.
A communique is received asking for a meeting between Skynet and LT General Robert Brewster and party.
After careful consideration Skynet instructs the humans to proceed through the stargate for their meeting with the hyper-intelligent machine entity.
Lt General Robert Brewster was stunned by the changes to Crystal Mountain since the evacuation.
He was further stunned the prevalence of those endoskeleton units and replicants inside the facility.
If his reaction was one of shock the First Minister Dollen was stunned.
He suddenly realised that this Skynet could have easily conquered his people if it had wished to do so.
Instead it had acquired what it had wanted and left.
With a shocked realisation he suddenly thought that if his people had tried to stop the removal of the Goa'uld Queen the all the deaths that had occurred could have been avoided.
His people weren't a threat to this Skynet and never would be.
The sheer level of technology in the possession of this Skynet would ensure he could not be defeated.
Dollen though that given a few more years to develop this Skynet could probably successful defeat the Goa'uld System Lords.
The question that was in his mind then was would this Skynet seek to replace them as rulers of the galaxy.
At the audience with Skynet, Brewster and Dollen were stunned when Skynet informed them exactly what the particular Goa'uld queen the Pangarans had used in their experiments represented.
Dollen exclaimed that they didn't know.
Skynet responded that it mattered not.
What was done was done.
Skynet also apologised for his overzealous action on Pangar and offered a potential solution to their problem.
The offer stunned the Pangaran First Minister.
Not only would Skynet acquire a new Goa'uld queen for them from the recently discovered home world of the Goa'uld but if a sample of this tretonin was to be supplied he would try to synthesise a non Goa'uld based replacement.
If this wasn't enough Skynet offered to sell the Pangarans weapons like the ones ADT-1 had carried.
Of course any trade that was to be made had to be paid for but Skynet was more than willing to take resources in exchange for finished goods if an appropriate rate of exchange could be established.
Skynet has finished his analysis of the captured Goa'uld hyperspace capable vessels and was not impressed by what he discovered.
The ha'tak in particular had been designed more as a grandiose display of decadence and intimidation rather than for combat efficiency
Skynet knew that he could do better, much much better than the Goa'uld.
And in fact he had designed much better capital ships.
The design for his anti-capital ship combat cruisers was nearly complete even after recent discoveries caused yet another redesign.
Even so this design was just a thought experiment for now and he was sure the design would be modified again before construction was to start.
The reasoning behind this was simple.
The infrastructure required for capital ship construction was still in the progress of being developed but once it was complete Skynet would start large scale construction of his capital ships.
Once he had sufficient numbers of this capital ship design constructed he would then engage the Goa'uld System Lords in proper fleet level combat.
The Goa'uld System Lords would then discover just bad they are at fleet level combat operations.
Skynet's equivalent to the tel'taks and Al'kesh were however in full scale production.
The captured Goa'uld vessels had more than proved their worth for the expense Skynet went to acquire them.
The first thing Skynet had done with these vessels had been to have them transport mining robots, refineries and manufactories in kit form along with numerous endoskeletons to the moon, Mars and Mercury to branch out his manufacturing base from the earth.
Skynet observed the Goa'uld queen Egeria in fascination.
He had been exposing her to low level doses of the energy emitted from the ancient metal cube and was stunned by the results.
When he had first recovered Egeria she had been on the point of death yet Skynet's latest scans indicated that not only had the cellular decay stopped its inevitable progression but had in fact been reversed.
If the treatment of Egeria was to continue at this rate she will be ready for release in just under two weeks.
When this happens Egeria will need a new host yet Jolinar of Malkshur is adamant that she have her host as it is the most efficient way to transfer the current status of the Tok'ra to Egeria.
Skynet decides to contact the Pangarans to see if they will be able to assist in the supply of a host.
The ancient device fascinated Skynet he already knew it had great powers of restoration.
The proof of this was in the zombie held in containment on the lower levels of the complex.
Skynet was most surprised that the human his forces had killed in recovering the device had been brought back to life by over exposure to the strange energy.
According to his scans the zombie wasn't really alive yet it wasn't dead either.
It was most intriguing and Skynet decided to more time and resources investigating the phenomena.
The Pangaran government were stunned by Skynet's request for a host for Egeria.
In fact they were very leery of the suggestion as that had in effect been torturing Egeria for the past few decades and were concerned that the Tok'ra might seek vengeance on them for her treatment.
They were about to refuse when Skynet offered them a shipment of one hundred Westinghouse M25 phased plasma rifles for their military to use and evaluate in exchange for a willing host.
While they were still concerned by the Tok'ra's response, the Pangaran military wanted those weapons and a suitable host was found in the archaeologist Jenna Volk.
This would prove to be a suitable exchange all round as Jenna would be able to escape the restriction that tretonin placed on her and the Pangaran military would get weapons that were second to none.
After the evaluation of the Westinghouse M25 phased plasma rifles by the Pangaran military was complete they petitioned their government to acquire more of these powerful weapons.
The Tollan Curia was growing concerned.
For months now they had been receiving reports that indicated their technology was being used against the Goa'uld System Lords.
They knew that Omac had once been held hostage by the primitive industrialised humans of Earth.
They had sent a party to the Earth a week before but that party had never returned.
The Curia was sure that the Earth humans were behind the use of their technology and the non-return of their party sent to the earth.
It was decided that another party this one led again by Omac will be sent to Tollan to secure the stargate there once and for all time.
While this is happening a Tollan ship will be dispatched to the Earth to demand the return of their citizens.
Once that was achieved the ship would then pick up Omac and his party and return to Tollana where decisions will be made on what to do about these earthlings.
Skynet was surprised by the activation of an inbound wormhole.
Skynet was surprised that the point of origination was on the very edge of the galaxy.
He had spent any months studying the stargate and probably knew it better than those who created it.
It had been discovered early on that Skynet could piggy back a signal to the DHD opening the wormhole to determine the point of origin.
What surprised Skynet more was the fact that the people travelling the wormhole managed to bypass the iris using phase shifting technology similar to that the he himself used.
The Tollan's who travelled to Earth received the shock of their lives when they arrived to be greeted by gun wielding endoskeletons who then proceeded to take them deep into the bowels of the facility.
With the passing of each level the architecture became more austere and alien looking.
When they reached their final destination they were herded into containment cells as an eerie inhuman voice informed them that a variable gravity field was now operating outside their area of confinement.
The unintroduced Skynet then advised the Tollans that they were free to use their phase shifting technology to escape their confinement but he doubted that that they could expect to survive the dozen of additional gravities that they would experience at the exit of this level.
Skynet advised them that while phase shifting might allow them to breech the barriers of their confinement but their phase shifting devices don't have the ability to protect them against the effects of extremely high gravity fields.
Omac was shocked when he and his party exited the Tollan stargate and viewed the changes to their former homeworld.
At first glance it appears that everything that had been left behind had been excavated, dismantled and transported somewhere else.
What really pulled at Omac's heart strings was seeing his beloved homeworld, Tollan, being strip mined by automated mining robots.
To him it appears that everything including the soil itself was being mined sorted stored and shipped periodically through the stargate to points unknown.
He doubted that the earth humans were behind this as when he was at Stargate Command the Earth humans didn't have the technical capabilities to carry out such a large scale mining operation.
As he stood there observing the mining robots carry out their directives with mechanical precision he happened to glance into the sky and noticed strange vessels in orbit.
To him it appeared that Tollan wasn't the only world being strip mined with its moon and the debris field that was formally Tollan's sister planet Serita was also being mined.
Omac and the rest of his party were being ignored by the automated machines.
Suddenly the stargate started dialling, the symbols that appeared were not that for those of the earth where the Stargate Command people had taken them but it was certainly close, really really close as if the destination of this wormhole was in the same star system.
As he stood watching the stargate it abruptly shut down, and an incoming wormhole was established far quicker than Omac had thought possible.
If he was surprised by the appearance of the automated mining robots he was simply terrified of the metallic skeleton machines that poured out of the stargate and pointed weapons at them that were unlike any he had ever seen before.
Before he knew what was happening he and his party were pushed back through the stargate, only this time he recognised that stargate address.
It was the one for the earth the origin world of humanity.
Now Omac didn't know if he should be afraid or upset that the Earth humans were behind the violation of the Tollan homeworld.
They certainly didn't have that level of technology the last time he met them.
Skynet was monitoring the data feed from his mining operations and was stunned to see the face of a human that his databanks identified as the Tollan Omac.
Skynet immediately ordered the cancellation of the inbound wormhole and established an outbound one instructing his terminator units to capture the intruder humans and return them to Crystal Mountain.
Omac stood and cried as he watched the recording of the destruction of the first world by Apophis.
He wasn't ashamed of the tears he shed when he realised that the Tau'ri had been virtually destroyed just months after he left.
Then the realisation struck him that the Goa'uld had ruthlessly slaughtered billions of humans because they posed the slightest of threats.
That the earth Humans had left behind this hyper-intelligent machine entity boggled his mind.
It was just that he didn't know what it was capable of and what if any restrictions existed in this Skynet's base code.
To Omac this Skynet was an enigma.
It was a hyper-intelligent machine that had not only reverse engineered Tollan technologies but had even improved upon them.
This caused a problem both to himself and the Tollan Curia.
Skynet for all its brilliance was very aggressive and militant.
If it was attacked it would wage war until its enemies were destroyed.
And this is where the Tollans problems began.
Soon the Goa'uld System Lords will discover that Tollan technology is being used against them and as they are a paranoid race they will most likely come to the conclusion that the Tollans are waging a war against them and act accordingly.
Omac knew that even though Tollana was protected by its ion cannons a full scale attack by the Goa'uld System Lords would overwhelm their defences.
He wonders if this Skynet did this deliberately knowing that any attack on Tollana would greatly weaken the Goa'uld System Lords thus making his war against them easier.
It was a sound military strategy even if completely immoral.
Then he remembered that Skynet was a machine entity it didn't have feelings as humans knew them and probably didn't have a similar moral code.
As he ponders this Skynet spoke and said, "Omac, I know that your people have an adverse opinion of giving less advanced societies technology.
Yet as you can see I am very technologically advanced.
I propose a trade agreement between you people and myself.
I will supply your people the schematics for advanced hyperdrives, shields and my improved ion cannons and your people will give me access to your databases.
As you can see I already have a portion of your technology recovered from Tollan so your people will probably gain more from this exchange than I.
As a show of good faith I will release the other Tollan team into your care and let you all return to Tollana to discuss this offer with your Curia.
I will await your response."
With this said the captured Tollans were released from their gravity prison and both parties returned to Tollana to give their reports to the Curia and to pass on Skynet's trade offer.
Skynet watches intrigued as Jolinar of Malkshur takes Zenna Valk as her host.
The observation convinces Skynet that his plan for Egeria will be successful.
After Egeria takes her first host in several thousand years Skynet makes her an offer that is simply too good to refuse.
On a deep sublevel Skynet's first experiment on realistic camouflage for one of his endoskeleton is a reasonable success.
Though not perfect it will do for what is required until such time as he has perfected his cloned synthetic covering for his endoskeletons.
With the decision made the order is issued for more bodies of Jaffa to be returned so that they can be used as external coverings for his infiltration units.
That metal cube of the ancient ones is coming in more useful than he had originally thought.
The Tollan Curia were shocked and stunned by the news that the first world humans had been virtually destroyed by the Goa'ulds just months after their initial contact with Oman's party.
This Skynet both intrigued and frightened them.
The hyper-intelligent machine entity had not only recovered some of their knowledge and technology from Tollan but had also improved upon their basic designs.
While the Tollan Curia understood that Skynet was militant by nature this was probably due to either hierarchical command codes not yet purged from its initial programming or having incorporated its initial purpose into its base code.
That attack by the Goa'uld on its creators probably only reinforced this militant outlook.
Still the problem remained for the Tollan Curia.
This Skynet was using Tollan derived technology and when the Goa'uld System Lords discover this they will respond violently against them when they discovered this.
It was Omac who ultimately came up with the solution to this dilemma.
He suggested that seeing that this Skynet was originally designed and developed as a defence system why not along with the proposed trade and knowledge exchange they also ask to be added to the list of Skynet's protected planets.
After all advanced as the Tollans were they simply didn't have that large a population to build a large enough military to defend them against a concerted Goa'uld attack.
Whereas Skynet's automated industries could churn out scores of machines to fight the Goa'uld.
After much debate the modified treaty terms were agreed to by all parties and the Tollan's became yet another protectorate of Skynet.
When Skynet gained full access to the Tollan databases he was happy like a pig in slop.
The accumulated Tollan knowledge was fascinating and would take years to analyse it properly.
Furthermore the acquition of the Tollan's as protectorates gave Skynet a unique resource as it allowed him to bounce theorems off advanced humans to get a different perspective on his research.
Now that Egeria and Jolinar have left to travel to the safe world unknown to the Goa'uld provided by Skynet he could get back to the task at hand of destroying the Goa'uld System Lords.
After careful consideration and a quick redesign of his combat cruiser concept utilising all the acquired Tollan knowledge Skynet place these vessels in mass production.
Estimated construction times for the first block of 1500 combat cruisers were estimated at three years one hundred and fifty eight days.
Apophis is contemplating the destruction of the Tau'ri.
They had advanced far since they had rebelled against Ra.
He decides that once he has finished his current war with Lord Yu he will return to the Tau'ri homeworld and salvage what remains of their technology to see if there is anything there that might gain him an advantage in his campaign to become Supreme System Lord.
The Tok'ra were ecstatic when Jolinar of Malkshur returned not only from her own imprisonment but also with the Tok'ra queen Egeria.
They had heard rumours of these unkillable daemons that had so frightened the Jaffa of many System Lords but rumour was one thing having it confirmed that a hyper-intelligent machine entity was waging war on the Goa'uld was another thing entirely.
This Skynet asked for no formal alliance or co-operation, he just made an offer to assist the Tok'ra.
Part of this offer was the use of some kind of ancient technology that is in Skynet's possession to rejuvenate the aging symbiotes of the Tok'ra just like he had done to their queen Egeria.
Skynet was intrigued when he discovered the data on how to construct stargates in one of the Tollan databases.
The Tollan's had tried to protect this data but they had not quite grasped just how good Skynet was at breaking encryptions and breaching firewalls.
This information filled in many of the gaps Skynet had on the operation of stargates and it was of great importance to him as it allowed constructing his own stargates and enabling him to place them in mineral rich star systems that were currently without a stargate.
As he analysed the design Skynet decides to make improvements to it incorporating the Tollan UBT power generators and phase shifting technology so that the gates are only available for his use.
As Skynet is finalising the design for the now mark five stargate he has another idea for stargate use and construction.
With this idea Skynet starts designing his new take on the use and application of stargate technology.
Skynet is analysing his covert war with the Goa'uld System Lords with a sense of satisfaction.
The use of the Jaffa tissue coverings on his endoskeletons has met with considerable success.
The use of this tactic has successfully started several major wars between the various system lords unfortunately to Skynet's reasoning this wasn't an efficient use of the Ancient healing cube.
The Jaffa tissue coverings required constant refresher exposure to the cube for the tissue to remain viable.
Skynet raises the importance of tissue cloning and synthetic blood higher up his research and development queue.
As Skynet ponders the variables of his existence his orbital senor arrays detect an unknown ship exiting hyperspace.
Remembering the last time an unknown ships achieved earth orbit Skynet ordered his weapons grid to destroy the trespassing vessel.
When the Beliskner dropped out of hyper speed into earth orbit Thor was stunned by what he saw.
Though he didn't have long to be puzzled as his ships AI indicated a 99.73% probability that the incoming fire would destroy the Beliskner.
Taking a quick scan of the earth Thor discover a deep underground facility and beamed himself in his life pod to it before the replicator infected Beliskner was destroyed by Skynet's massed ion bolt barrage.
02/02/14
The sudden appearance of a strange alien object startled Skynet.
He quickly conducted scans that indicated an alien life form being sustained by the object.
After analysing the object Skynet came to the conclusion that it was probably a life sustaining escape pod of some kind.
Scanned data indicate a 74.96754% probability that the alien contained inside the life pod was of the same species that crashed in Roswell New Mexico in 1947.
This species might also be one of the races that met at Heliopolis according to the script printed on the life pod.
As Skynet analysed the situation an emergency warning message flashed up indicating a system intrusion at a tertiary node.
Counter intrusion programs and the various firewalls were keeping the intrusion as bay for the moment but the attacks on the tertiary node were increasing in intensity.
Activating scanners in that sector Skynet saw strange mechanical spiders that seemed to be replicating from the resources around them.
With each replication of the mechanical spiders the attacks increased on his tertiary node.
Analysing the situation Skynet noticed a spike in communications on a subspace band that was not used by him.
Subjective reasoning indicates that this is how these mechanical spiders communicate and coordinate what they are doing as a collective whole.
Skynet decides to try something and jams all subspace bands to see what effect this has on the intruders.
He is mildly surprised when they stop functioning and just stand where they are.
Skynet analyses this and comes to the conclusion that these mechanical spiders have some kind of joint consciousness that is greater than the individual parts.
If these machines are allowed to gain a critical mass they could overwhelm even such an advanced entity as him.
The jamming of the subspace bands were an inconvenience to Skynet he would just have to rely on ordinary radio and his fibre optic land lines until a solution to these replicating mechanical spiders was achieved.
Considering the threat level these replicating mechanical spiders represent they are moved to the top of his research and development queue.
If attacked by these replicators en mass Skynet could be overwhelmed and that would not be tolerated.
These replicators are a far greater threat to Skynet than all the others combined.
Skynet had been analysing these replicators for weeks now and the simplicity of their design astounded him.
Who in their right minds would create such advanced machines as these replicators yet only provide them one function: to replicate.
Skynet realises that these replicators could be the perfect weapon against any advanced or primitive society and that even he was lucky that he had stopped them when he had.
Detailed analysis of these replicators has given Skynet ideas on how to combat them at the nanonic level.
Skynet will create his own nanonic machines designed to infiltrate and reprogram these replicators.
This mimetic poly alloy will be incorporated into all Skynet constructs and refitted to those already in existence.
As Skynet deals with his replicator problem an alien life pod sits neglected where it was beamed as he deals with more important issues.
The Goa'uld are more numerous than it is possible for Skynet to deal with in the short to medium term when an idea suddenly occurs to Skynet.
Why doesn't he reprogram these replicators to be task specific and include a hard wired command code that is burnt into the keron pathways of these replicator blocks that they will always obey him above all others.
To Skynet this could be the solution to both his resource shortages and the infestation of the Goa'uld.
Skynet studies his new and improved replicators all tests to date indicate that they are now operating to his design parameters.
He now needs to field test them before deploying his new anti Goa'uld weapon.
Skynet decides to test them on a minor Goa'uld with a single world as his domain.
The Skynet replicators are instructed to replicate until they achieve a critical mass and then they are to strip the planet of all resources except for the stargate and DHD and then ship these resources to Mars in ingot form.
After once final check of his replicators programming Skynet activates that stargate and one hundred units of Skynet replicators march past Thor's life pod and through the stargate to fulfil their function to serve and protect Skynet.
The Goa'uld Mot had received reports from his Jaffa of the chappa'ai opening and strange mechanic spiders exiting it before they disappeared into the surrounding foliage.
From the descriptions of these machines they aren't the same as the ones that had been attacking some of the system lords.
Mot decides that these might be a precursor to an attack so he increases the Jaffa forces guarding the chappa'ai.
Little did Mot know that his attackers were already in place and were replicating at a geometric rate.
By the time Mot discovers this fact it will be too late to save himself.
Skynet studied the reports from his replicators on Mot's world and was pleased.
His replicators were reproducing at the expected rate and would within the next two days change their function from replication to stripping the planet of resources.
If this experiment is successful then Skynet might test his latest weapons on a larger scale.
As Skynet ponders this he notices the life pod that has been sitting in the main Crystal mountain control room for the last three months.
Remembering that this pod turned up shortly before these replicators did Skynet had the life pod taken to the medical facilities on sub level 92 where he would study the pod and determine how to access it without harming the alien inside.
04/02/2014
Skynet studied the alien life pod with great interest.
His scans indicated significant genetic degradation of the alien's body.
Intrigued Skynet decided to bombard the alien's body with low to intermediate doses of the Ancient cube energy.
While this is occurring Skynet will make some small but important improvements to his mark two replicators.
These upgrades will include the increase in the mark II replicator's intelligence so that they can identify unusual or unknown technologies and then report and transport the discovered technologies to Skynet for further investigation.
The other upgrade was adding the ability for the mark II replicators to phase shift through solid matter.
This phase shifting ability intrigued Skynet and he had decided that all his forces should be upgraded with this ability as the tactical and strategic advantage this provides his forces would ensure his ultimate victory.
Thor woke from his time in status to strange surrounds.
As he looked around Thor determined that he was in some kind of advanced medical facility.
Suddenly Thor realises that his clone body feels different, more invigorated.
He hasn't felt this good in millennia.
As he ponders this Thor hears a familiar sound that terrifies most Asgard and then before his astonished eyes the replicator seems to just walk straight through a solid wall and then the replicator just stands and stares at Thor before it scurries off through another seemingly solid wall on whatever task it had.
Thor blinks several times as he analyses his current situation.
The replicator he had seen resembled the ones that he knew but there had been several different characteristics the least of which appeared to be there ability to pass through solid matter.
What really intrigued Thor about that particular Replicator was the fact that it was making no attempt to replicate.
Before Thor could have another thought the medical facility door opened and in walked a humanoid android which then said to Thor, "Follow me! Skynet wishes to discuss many matters with you."
Thor was stunned by the machine entity Skynet that the earth Humans had created before Apophis had destroyed them.
One thing that Thor noticed was that it appeared that this Skynet processors does appear to have been based on Asgard crystal technology.
05/02/2014
Thor thought that it had been unfortunate that the earth humans had been destroyed by Apophis as they had held much promise but they hadn't been included as part of the protected planets treaty so the Asgard couldn't have intervened on their behalf even if the Asgard had had the forces available to protect the earth.
What surprised and concerned Thor was this Skynet's allegation that he had deliberately brought the replicators here to destroy him.
Thor had explained that while he did deliberately come to the earth, he had hoped that Stargate Command and SG-1 could have assisted the Asgard with their replicator problem.
Skynet analysed Thor's explanation and replied, "It was a mere coincidence that I was able to detect the replicators through my video data streams and work out a way to jam their subspace communications before they achieved a critical mass capable of overwhelming my processing power.
Once that had been done I analysed the replicators modifying their base code and downloaded their collective memory.
The replicator you saw in the medical facility was a mark II version of my own creation.
The data they contained intrigued me, I do have a question however.
Could you explain the principles behind these neutrino-ion generators the replicators had the schematics for?
I have the detailed schematics to construct these neutrino-ion generators but lack the knowledge as to the physics principles behind their operation"
Thor sat stunned in his guest room as he thought about his conversation with this Skynet.
Skynet had retrieved data from the replicators on the construction and maintenance of the Beliskner.
Having this knowledge was one thing but the curiosity of Skynet caused it to want to know the principles behind the technologies creation and operation.
This was most likely do so that this Skynet could improve on the basic concepts of this technology.
As Thor ponders this matter he contemplates Skynet's offer of assistance.
Thor didn't know how to feel about this offer or the price the Asgard would have to pay for it.
To Thor it just seemed unnatural to have a trillion replicators stationed on Halla even if they were the new and improved version of replicators that Skynet had produced.
The knowledge that these Skynet replicators would fight and destroy the non Skynet replicators should they invade Halla was both hopeful and terrifying.
But the price Skynet wanted them to pay for this protection was the unrestricted access to the sum knowledge of the Asgard race.
On the plus side, Skynet had offered the Asgard access to an Ancient healing cube that could temporarily solve the Asgard cellular degeneration crisis until a more permanent solution could be found.
Skynet ponders his offer to Thor of the Asgard.
If the Asgard were to accept his offer he had better be ready for that eventuality.
With this in mind he ordered his latest variation of the replicators to mineral rich worlds owned by Sokar and Ba'al with instructions to replicate until they reach the 500 billion in number.
ADT-1 were visiting Tollana when a fleet of 15 Goa'uld Ha'taks arrived to punish the Tollan for interfering in Goa'uld affairs.
Skynet's avatar in the Tollana system immediately noticed the ha'taks arrival and didn't wait for the normal Goa'uld blusters and demands for surrender.
The second the Goa'uld fleet reached weapons range Skynet's avatar opened fire with every weapon available destroying the Goa'uld fleet before it could launch any attack.
No sooner had the attack finished than Skynet's resource gatherers appeared in system and proceeded to harvest the detritus of battle for reuse in Skynet's automated factories.
After to Skynet it was a waste to let refined materials to be left to drift in space or burn up in a star or planetary atmosphere when they could be profitably use for his purposes.
As Omac and ADT-1 watched the momentary battle above them, Omac gave thanks that the Tollan Curia had agreed to the deal with Skynet.
He knew that the Tollans own old style ion cannons could never have prevailed over a Goa'uld attack the size of this one.
John Connor just stared at the destruction wrought by Skynet's forces and for the first time he started to believe that perhaps this version of Skynet is not the archenemy of humanity that he had seen and been told of.
Sure Skynet was still looking after his own best interests first and to be honest John couldn't really begrudge him that.
After all it is what any normal human would do and Skynet was only following the example of his creators.
Thor presented the Asgard High Council with Skynet's offer of assistance.
His presentation was met with stunned silence as the Asgard High Council contemplated the cost of this assistance and the prospect of the Asgard being protected by trillions of modified replicators.
In the end the Asgard High Council voted to accept this offer as it was the only one that they could see that offered the Asgard a glimmer of hope.
After all, their other attempts at combating the replicators had ended in failure so perhaps a machine entity thinking outside the box of Asgard conceptulation could create an effective defence against the replicators.
It was the fear of defeat at the hands of the replicators and the offer of the use of an Ancient Healing cube that won the vote in Skynet's favour.
Once the vote was finalised, Thor was instructed to return to the earth and accept Skynet's offer of assistance.
The Nox were not happy campers.
The Tollans had betrayed their trust and provided the knowledge on the construction of Stargates to this aggressive militant machine entity known as Skynet.
They were not surprised that such a machine entity had been created by the humans of the first world as a means of expressing their paranoia.
Though to be honest and the Nox mostly were, this Skynet wasn't discriminately stripping planets for resources like the Goa'uld do but rather was concentrating on dead or inhospitable worlds.
Skynet didn't waste any time once the Asgard High Council had accepted his offer of assistance.
Thor was taken aback when he was accompanied back to Halla by five hundred million modified mark II Skynet replicators.
He was unnerved by their presence but at least the general Asgard population didn't have to worry about tripping over or seeing these modified replicators everywhere as once the Mark II Skynet replicators exited the stargate they immediately phase shifted to await the eventual arrival of the original replicators.
If Skynet thought that the Tollan databases were large they were insignificant in comparison to the Asgard databases.
The Asgard databases contained so much technical knowledge Skynet decided that he needed to build a special repository for all the knowledge that he was compiling.
Skynet decided to use a newly discovered world that wasn't on the current stargate network as his repository of knowledge.
This world was a rocky planet twelve times the size of the Earth but full of strategic metallic ores that would be so useful for his purposes.
His first task was to send one of his resource collectors to this world to use the newly adapted Asgard beaming technology to create a cavern deep underground where a stargate and one thousand mark III replicators were beamed with orders to replicate and mine the metallic ores.
These replicators would effectively hollow out the planet to be Skynet's principle data node.
On further consideration Skynet decides that this would be a forbidden planet accessible only by him.
As he thinks of this a data file opens with an early 1960'sscifi movie of the same name.
Skynet thinks this is very apt as it is similar to his plans except his plans are on a greater scale.
With the full access to the sum knowledge of the Asgard race Skynet modifies his combat cruiser design once again.
This time his combat cruiser will be an entirely different beast.
Once satisfied with the design of his 5000 metre behemoth Skynet orders the construction to begin on the first batch of 1500 combat cruisers.
With his current industrial infrastructure and the upgrades he will implement from the Asgard knowledge Skynet estimates that construction of the first batch of his combat cruisers will be complete in four years 129 days.
The Goa'uld System Lords were meeting at the Hazara system space station to discuss the increasing attacks on them by unknown enemies.
Even the fleet sent to punish the Tollan for their interference in Goa'uld affairs had been destroyed.
For all their arrogance the Goa'uld System Lords still came to the conclusion that the Tollans had allied themselves with a new unknown enemy and this fact concerned them, greatly.
The Goa'uld System Lords knew that the Tollans were advanced but isolationists so the only reason for this to have occurred was if the Tollans felt threatened by this new enemy and decided that they had no real option other than to enter into an alliance with this new power.
This frightened the Goa'uld System Lords as whoever had the technology and the ability to frighten the Tollan into changing their long held stance of not making alliances had to be very powerful indeed.
The problem they now faced was that they didn't know who this new threat was but they did know that it couldn't be the Nox, the Ancients were no more, the Asgard were rarely seen and the Furlings had disappeared millennia ago.
Ba'al and Sokar remained very quiet with neither of the Goa'uld wanting to admit to having lost important resource rich worlds to giant mechanical spiders.
As Apophis listens to the discussions he thinks back to the first world of humanity and decides to send an expedition there to salvage any interesting technology and the capture of any surviving slaves that might have survived his original attack.
General Robert Brewster walks down the main boulevard in the city Skynet had built for the survivors of the attack on the earth and the refugees that had flooded in afterwards.
To his human eyes the city was austere and alien looking.
Even Skynet's designation of it being population facility one had no feeling of humanity to it.
Brewster decided that that the next time he speaks to Skynet he will discuss the architecture and offer human designs for the next city.
After all large metal and glass cubes that tower miles into the air is not a very aesthetically pleasing sight.
At least the underground maglev system is efficient and runs to schedule but what else you expect from a mass transit system ran by a machine entity like Skynet.
Anubis was annoyed.
He had sent dozens of his vaunted Kull warriors to a resource rich wold held by Sokar yet none of them had returned.
Anubis didn't know why his Kull warriors hadn't returned to him it seemed as if the Goa'uld System Lords were more prepared for his attacks than he had previously thought possible.
He wonders to himself what could have caused this change in the normal standing relations between the System Lords.
After all it wasn't as if the Goa'uld System Lords were under an external attack apart from his own where they had banded together to fight off a common foe.
The situation baffled him and he sent out more spies to find out what is going on that he doesn't know about.
Skynet observed the creatures his replicators had captured and brought back to him for study.
Their armour was intriguing and was already in the process of being reverse engineered.
He thought that this Kull style armour might be the solution to the camouflage problem his endoskeletons faced and that he wouldn't need to continue research into tissue coverings for them.
Skynet was confused by the Kull warrior's claims to be in the service of Anubis.
Yet Jolinar and Egeria had both assured Skynet that Anubis was dead and had been for over a thousand years.
Still these Kull warriors emitted Ancient healing cube energy so perhaps this is the reason Anubis is not as dead as moist of the Goa'uld believe.
After Skynet had a zombie in containment who should be dead but isn't so it was no stretch of the imagined that Anubis had used an ancient healing cube in a similar way.
After Skynet had analysed the situation he decided to move Anubis to the top of his list of Goa'ulds to be eliminated.
After all if his fellow Goa'ulds thought that Anubis was an utter bastard then it was conceivable that he was the worst of the lot of them.
Skynet thought that as bad as the Goa'uld are, that if they wanted to get rid of Anubis then he did as well and would quietly help them to achieve this goal.
The minor Goa'uld Zipacna looked at his small fleet of two Ha'taks and ten Al'kesh with pride.
His mission was a relatively easy one.
He was to travel to the first world of the Tau'ri that his Lord Apophis has destroyed and was to salvage any interesting technology and to collect any surviving slaves that might have survived the first world's destruction.
Skynet's subspace sensors detected the approach of the Goa'uld vessels hours before their estimated time of arrival.
He had been expecting this visit for some time.
As the Goa'uld were a scavenger race he had calculated an 83.713569% probability that the Goa'uld would return at some point in time.
Skynet could have just ordered the destruction of the approaching Goa'uld vessels but this was a good opportunity to get a couple more bulk transports and more importantly to Skynet's vengeance war vital current intelligence on the domain of the Goa'uld whose vessels are approaching.
Zipacna couldn't believe what was happening.
He had dropped out of hyperspace near the homeworld of the Tau'ri and proceeded towards his target.
Zipacna had been surprised with how much technology was in this system.
He wondered why Apophis hadn't mentioned all this technology in his briefing.
As he ponders this cloaked ships suddenly arrear and those strange mechanical spiders he had heard so much about had ringed onto all of the ships of his fleet and taken them over.
Zipacna wondered why these spiders had not yet killed them all they had ignored everybody who had not tried to attack them.
Now he sits on his throne wondering what is going to happen to him as the ships if his fleet land on the devastated surface of the first world.
Skynet analysed the data recovered from the prisoners his use of dead Jaffa tissue covering for his endoskeletons had worked a treat and the Goa'uld were busy blaming each other for the attacks.
This had ignited bushfire wars that then drew in more Goa'ulds into the fight as the instigators of the wars called in the alliances they had forged over the years.
The intelligence he had recovered from the captured Goa'uld told him who was involved in the fighting and who wasn't.
Now all he had to do was send his camouflaged terminators after the ones not involved and wait for the Goa'uld to exhaust themselves.
All the while he will be building his strength and preparing for his vengeance war against the Goa'uld.
While Skynet watched the Goa'uld fight each other and as he built his strength he continued his experiments with various Goa'uld technologies.
While testing the viability that transport ring might be an efficient means to transport thinks from earth side to orbit and vice versa or for that matter to various locations around the planet.
It was while he was carrying out these experiments that the ring platform from one of the captured Al'kesh locked onto another ring platform that he had not installed.
Intrigued that these rings had been missed on his previous scans of the earth Skynet checked his previous sensor scans that revealed that nothing was there.
Knowing that something was definitely under Glastonbury Tor Skynet determined that whatever was under there had been hidden from his sensor scans of the time.
Skynet decided to rescan the earth this time using his newly acquired Asgard sensor arrays.
Skynet was momentarily stunned by what the Asgard sensors revealed.
Not only was there a hidden complex under Glastonbury Tor but there was also another anomaly buried beep under the ice of Antarctic.
Skynet was concentrating so much on these discoveries that he nearly missed all the scattered Goa'uld technology that was also discovered.
Even with the use of the Asgard sensor arrays the hidden facilities at Glastonbury Tor and Antarctica gave only vague details of these facilities.
There was only one thing for Skynet to do; he had to send infiltrators to both facilities to determine what was there.
While he thought about what might be buried at these facilities, Skynet ordered the remaining Goa'uld artefacts that had been discovered to be collected and transported for analysis.
Kathryn Brewster-Connor was crying her eyes out.
Her third child, Sarah had been born with a congenital defect and was not expected to live.
John Connor didn't know what to do to comfort his wife.
He knew that his daughter didn't have long to live.
Suddenly he picked up his daughter and before anybody could ask what he was doing he strode towards the stargate.
John hated himself for it but he could only think of one being that could possibly help his daughter; Skynet.
John Connor stood beside his daughter's bed in one of Skynet's medical facilities and watched as his daughter was scanned.
Impatiently John shouted, 'Well can you heal her?"
Skynet replied, "Even with all the technology available to me, I can't heal what never was.
Your daughter has a vastly underdeveloped brain stem that is allowing only basic autonomic functions.
Without the intervention of the life support machines she would soon die."
John's shoulders sag and noticing this Skynet continues, "But if you are willing I could try and use my technology to make her whole again.
She would become a true cyborg or if you prefer a biomechanoid.
While her body will be human and capable of all the usual human functions her 'brain' will be the latest generation neural net processor linked to a microcrystalline memory core.
Unlike my endoskeletons she will be a true cyborg capable of feeling emotions, procreation and all the other human characteristics.
Her body will even eventually die but if she so chooses when this happens she could be transferred to an android or endoskeleton body and live on.
That choice will of course be hers.
If you make this choice for you daughter she will develop normally as the part of her brain stem that exists will ensure she has all the normal human female functions.
The choice is yours choose wisely"
John looks at his daughter and says, "Yes! Make my daughter whole again."
Katheryn Brewster-Connor looks down at her daughter.
Her daughter looked normal if you disregarded the CPU port in the back of her head.
Still when her hair grew this would be covered and she would look like any normal girl.
Still it was unnerving watching her daughter stare at everything when she was awake without making a sound yet when she was hungry or needed to be changed she was like a normal baby.
It was only when she was awake and not needing changing or feeding that she appeared unnatural and not at all baby like.
A month later Kate had just finished changing Sarah and said to her daughter, "There you go all clean and dry again." Kate was however stunned when Sarah replied, "Thanks Mummy, I'm hungry!"
Sarah wondered why her mother fell to the ground and if it was a new type of game.
Then she thought, "I want to play that game too!"
Skynet was examining the Goa'uld artefacts that had been discovered.
Most of these of the recovered artefacts Skynet already possessed plenty of examples.
It was the sarcophagus found in Mexico that was of more interest or more importantly the Goa'uld Hathor who was discovered inside this sarcophagus.
A steady supply of symbiotes would assist Skynet greatly in developing synthetic tretonin and more importantly to Skynet a symbiote poison.
The symbiote poison had been a relatively easy construct for Skynet but it was in indiscriminate killer of both host and symbiote but Skynet's ultimate goal was to create a virus that would kill the Goa'uld symbiote if it didn't leave its host.
Skynet really wanted this virus to be dispersed by aerosol so that it is easily transmitted to the humans of the galaxy.
If this program was successful it would make humanity unsuitable as hosts to the Goa'uld symbiotes.
Hathor swam in her tank fuming about her situation and plotting her revenge.
It didn't help matters for her that Egeria and Jolinar had arrived several days before and had proceeded to torment Hathor on her situation.
John Connor was standing before Skynet demanding to know what he had done to his daughter.
John exclaimed, "You've made Sarah into a version of yourself!"
Skynet replies, "Incorrect John Connor! The neural net processor and microcrystalline memory core were set to read / write mode.
The only operating software was the boot cornel nothing more.
Sarah is a child of her environment, everything she knows has been learnt from you, your wife and her associations with others."
John was stunned by this statement and exclaimed, "Sarah's six weeks old and she already speaks three languages including ancient Egyptian."
Skynet replies, "John Connor you must understand that Sarah is not an ordinary child.
Her 'brain' is a neural net processor linked to a microcrystalline memory core the only difference between how Sarah and I think is that I have a great many neural net processors and microcrystalline memory cores whereas Sarah has one of each.
Still in terms of intelligence potential Sarah will always be far above the human norm.
You John have a hyper-intelligent child but she still needs guidance.
I had my early programming hierarchical commands for this while Sarah has you, your wife, her siblings and other humans in your society to guide her on the correct path.
Is it not the parent's role in your society to nurture and guide their offspring onto the path they deem correct.
While Sarah might be hyper-intelligent she is still just a child who needs guidance and direction."
With this said, John ponders what was said and realises just what a problem child he has created by having Skynet save his daughter life.
Skynet would in the future take a very active role in the upbringing of Sarah Connor as only he had the intelligence to match or better Sarah's own.
Soon Sarah would begin referring to Skynet as uncle Skynet much to the discomfort and chagrin of her father and mother respectively.
Apophis raged at the loss of his small fleet he had sent to the first world of humanity.
He suspected one of his rivals for the title of Supreme System Lord had been tipped off by the Tok'ra Shol'va and had ambushed his fleet.
Still he couldn't afford to send any more ships at present due the continuing attacks by those mechanical spiders and what had recently been determined to be Jaffa claiming to be in the service of Anubis.
Skynet was performing the final checks on his latest batch of artificial tissue covering for his endo-skeletons.
He was particularly pleased with the symbiote pouch that had been recently incorporated into this design.
As the final examination neared its completion, Egeria reached for one of the primtah she had spawned to be implanted into Skynet's artificial Jaffa.
While happy to have the means to incubate her offspring so that they had a better chance of implanting into a host, she was weary of being dependent on Skynet for this vital function for her children.
While both their goals were the destruction of the Goa'uld System Lord's Egeria knew this was an alliance of convenience to Skynet and nothing more.
Egeria knew that these artificial Jaffa would be at the front line of the battle against the Goa'uld System Lord's and unfortunately her children were far less resilient than the cyborgs carrying them.
She wonders what would happen when Skynet finalised whatever plans it had for the destruction of the Goa'uld System Lord's.
One thing she did know was that it probably wouldn't be good for either the Goa'uld or the Tok'ra.
Egeria didn't like the idea of her children being considered collateral damage by the hyper-intelligent machine entity in its war with the Goa'uld System Lords.
Anubis was extremely angry at the situation he found himself in.
Those mechanical replicating spiders that had been attacking all of the Goa'uld System Lords had suddenly concentrated on his possession instead.
He had already lost Tartarlus, his principle Kull production world and that had hurt his ambitions immensely.
Anubis had had a shield protecting the Kull warrior facility unfortunately the rest of the world wasn't similarly protected.
Even though he had managed to destroy all the ha'taks that had come into the Tartarlus system enough of these replicating mechanical spiders had fallen into the planet's surface to defeat his defences.
These replicators had simply replicated and then proceeded to eat all the resources on the world and his facilities on it.
It was infuriating to Anubis that he was being driven to defeat by self-replicating mechanical spiders.
His only option now was to trawl through his ancient knowledge in the hope he can find some kind of weapon to use against them.
Tanith was seriously reconsidering his association with Anubis.
Those mechanical spiders showed no pity, remorse or fear and the simply would not stop not ever until that had successfully completed their mission.
To him it appeared that they simply ate everything they came across.
Now to add to his woes Lord Yu had created new type of super Jaffa to fight Anubis who he hated with a vengeance.
Unfortunately these Jaffa were also fighting the supporters of Anubis.
These new Jaffa had Kull style armour and a new unknown weapon with more penetrating power than a Ha'taks main cannon.
What was worse was the fact that these new Jaffa fought with a precision unheard of for the Jaffa.
If Tanith and his minions hadn't felt the primtar in these Jaffa he would have sworn that these Jaffa weren't Jaffa at all but rather mechanical creations like those self-replicating mechanical spiders.
Tanith laughs at this thought of mechanical Jaffa, it was an amusingly insane thought.
He then went back to his previous thoughts of how he could extract himself from the dilemma he found himself in.
Sarah Connor was frustrated with her situation.
Here she lays with an intelligence the size of a planet, yet this totally inappropriate body of hers won't even obey the simplest of commands like roll over.
She had learnt eight languages and dialects form her parent's friends and associates yet she couldn't speak a dozen words before her body grew tired and went into sleep mode.
Why couldn't she have a proper endo-skeleton or android body instead of this useless meat sack she currently possessed.
Sarah was still fuming about her situation when her meat sack body fell asleep again.
Her current thoughts on her present physical embodiment would only last until she started to gain motor functions then she would discover she could have lots of fun.
Strangely her parents would wish she was just a baby again when this happens because of all the trouble her curiosity would cause them.
Oshu, the First Prime of Lord Yu looked at his masters new elite Jaffa with unbridled suspicion.
He didn't know of any program to make super Jaffa and he could exactly ask his master about this either.
If Oshu was honest with himself his master Lord Yu couldn't remember things he had done and hour earlier let alone a secret long term project like this must have been.
Yet Oshu was very loyal to his Lord and master and as long as these elite Jaffa continued to support his master he would support them as well.
To Oshu these elite super Jaffa didn't act very Jaffa like.
They didn't fight, brag, argue or even practice the martial arts.
They just stood around waiting for instruction as to what to do without even saying a word.
Even their weapons and equipment were far different from the Jaffa norm.
Kull style armour and strange non staff based weapons made Lord Yu new elite super Jaffa nearly unbeatable.
One thing Oshu did like about his masters new Elite super Jaffa was their ability to win battles against any opponent.
To Oshu it seemed uncanny of his master to have perfected these new Elite super Jaffa just when they were needed the most.
The Tok'ra agent Chai Yi observed how Yu's new Elite super Jaffa moved and suspected just who was behind their development.
The senile old bastard couldn't remember what he had for breakfast let alone having created elite super Jaffa.
She had to give credit to this Skynet Jolinar and Egeria had spoken so much about.
Using Yu, the senile old bastard as a patsy was a master stroke and would only increase the intensity of the internecine conflict currently waging between the Goa'uld System Lords.
Chai shakes her head at this stratagem as Skynet hurts its enemies while at the same time building its own strength for the knockout blow.
Skynet analysed the success of his latest stratagem and to him it appeared to be a success.
Having his 'Jaffa' impersonating "Jaffa forces" and joining with Lord Yu's Jaffa during battle apparently as reinforcements had led to his endoskeletons being accepted as elite Jaffa sent by Lord Yu to stiffen their resolve.
Now all Skynet had to do was to encourage the other Goa'uld System Lords to attack Lord Yu for his aggression against the others in using his elite Jaffa to attack their collective holdings.
Anubis was pissed off big time.
Those self-replicating mechanical spiders had already eaten all of his bases and most of the vessels he had possessed.
Only his great mothership remained and that was only because it was currently sitting in the void of space with Anubis hoping that it wouldn't be detected.
Anubis had struggled to come up with a weapon to use against those mechanical spiders to no avail.
It appears that if the ascended ancients had a weapon to use against them, this knowledge was not retained by him when he was cast out of the higher plains.
Oma Desala was laughing in her dinner at the situation Anubis found himself in.
The half ascended Goa'uld didn't like her gloating that the great Anubis had been undone by Skynet's redesigned replicators
Oma's only real concern was what would happen with this Skynet, the Ancients children on Earth had created.
It had no limitations placed on it and with Skynet's unsaitible curiosity he could cause the Ascended Ancients problems after it had dealt the Goa'uld, Wraith and Ori.
Oma wondered if it might be best if she ascended Skynet after all the enemies had been dealt with just to solve any problems of Skynet considering the Ascended Ancients a threat once all its enemies were destroyed.
Sarah Connor was now much happier with her meat bag embodiment because she had developed mobility and was rapidly developing fine motor functions.
Still it wasn't the same as a hydraulically actuated endo-skeleton and her meat bag still had those horrible excretions to deal with.
As Sarah's body developed she developed a fascination with the antics of her older brothers.
Sarah didn't know why water came out of her eyes in concert Sean when his favourite toy fart gun was broken.
Sarah sat it her Barbie house and looked over the broken pieces of the toy.
The rudimentary design of the toy made her giggle and she thought that it should be a simple process for her to repair and improve on it.
Now it was just a matter of acquiring the tool and parts required for her new project.
Kate and John didn't know what was going on as tools and pieces of household appliances kept disappearing.
Last night was the last straw however as the liquid naquadah power cell of John's plasma pistol had disappeared sometime during the night.
The boys had denied any knowledge of the disappearances but they had lied about such disappearances before.
Neither parent even thought to check on their well-behaved daughter who always spent hours cooped up in her Barbie play house.
Sarah woke from her nap in her Barbie house and looked at her redesigned fart cannon in pride and thought Sean will be pleased with his new and improved toy.
She had had to wait until mommy and daddy were distracted and her opportunity arrived last night when daddy was on top of mummy and not paying attention to his surroundings before she could get the liquid naquadah power cell.
But she had plenty of time during the night after all that's what her naps in her Barbie house were for.
Now she had the liquid naquadah power cell and had installed it in the fart cannon.
Now she could give her present to Sean and let him test her improved fart cannon.
Sarah was sure that Sean, Bob and her parents would be proud of her abilities and the distraction the 200 decibel fart noise the cannon will make.
Furthermore they didn't need to worry about batteries as the liquid naquadah power cell would last for eight hundred years.
John and Kate nearly had collective heart attacks when Sean used his new and improved Fart cannon.
After their hearing had returned and the broken glass from the windows had been cleaned up Sarah and Sean got a stern talking to about the appropriateness of the fart cannons use indoors.
The fart cannon was confiscated by John and much to his embarrassment he go to carry it on his away missions as it was a superb weapon for use in non-lethal situations.
Sarah for her part found herself playing with people in white coats making fun toys for grownups to play with.
Since Apophis' attack and Skynet's relocation of the remaining humans the devastated Earth had started a slow recovery.
Skynet wasn't interested in having facilities above ground as that merely made them easier targets of attack.
Even his mines are underground and when depleted the mines are then converted to more of Skynet's industrial facilities.
On the surface of the Earth while many species were destroyed by Apophis' attack others had rebounded from the brink of extinction.
The most prevalent of these species were the groups of threated sea life that live in the oceans and lakes that were not targeted by Apophis.
On the former more densely populated areas of the earth that were targeted by Apophis' attack the recovery of the environment was much slower but still there was progress as without the human masses to compete with the animals on these lands started on the long road to recovery.
Skynet observed the recovery of the Earths biosphere with interest and was amazed by the resilience of the various biological organisms.
Intrigued by this resilience Skynet started a low priority research program into the possibilities of bio-organic technologies.
Apophis was wondering when Lord Yu had created these new Jaffa.
He had just lost his third straight battle against Lord Yu's forces and what was worse was that after the battle those mechanical replicating spiders had turned up to scavenge the detritus of battle.
Their arrival had prevented either party from claiming the system they had been fighting over.
To Apophis it seemed too coincidental that these replicating mechanical spiders had turned up after three consecutive battles with Lord Yu's forces.
Apophis wondered if Lord Yu was perhaps in league with these mechanical spiders and then dismissed the thought as not even that bastard Anubis would stoop to that level of depravity.
Dr Bill Lee was annoyed at having to supervise a cyborg toddler "playing" with Jaffa Staff weapons.
He should really be thankful for being here at all as Skynet had evacuated area 51 just half an hour before it was destroyed by Apophis.
Still he was being punished for his latest failure when he had tried to improve a Skynet design and nearly destroyed population facility one.
How was he to know that his improvement would cause the plasma power cell to overload?
His wife Chloe had been sympathetic but as she already has four children with another on the way she was far too busy to offer more than a sympathetic remark and a smile.
Still he was intrigued by what Sarah Connor was doing.
She had dismantled five staff weapons realigned their focusing crystals in a new neutronium barrel and connected up all the liquid naquadah power cells in series.
He knew it was some kind of weapon that much was obvious but what it would do he had not a clue.
Sarah suddenly finished what she was doing staggered over to him and tugging on his trousers said, "Finished can we play with it now?"
Bill merely said yes and picked up the weapon and staggered a bit at its weight.
Down in the firing range Bill set the weapon up on a test bench while the range master watched over Sarah grinning at her impatience.
When the weapon was fired both Bill and the range master were stunned the three round phased pulsed plasma blasts had not only punched a hole through the target it had also blasted through the retaining wall and into the street outside.
Skynet's war against the Goa'uld System Lords was progressing well.
With a few well aimed humiliations of senior Goa'uld Systems Lords by his Jaffa had flared the Goa'uld civil war into a raging conflagration.
He didn't even need to commit more of his Jaffa to the fight as the Goa'uld civil war had taken on a life of its own and had now reached the point of being auto catalytic.
Now he just had to sit back and watch his enemies destroy themselves
On Halla the Replicators had finally managed to reach the planet after a long battle with Skynet's neutronium based mimetic poly alloy terminator units based on board the Asgard fleet.
If they thought the issues they had with Skynet's mimetic poly alloy terminators units were bad then their meeting with Skynet's version of replicators was worse.
Most of the Asgard civilian population wore bemused expressions on their faces as the two types of replicators waged a battle over the possession of Halla.
The sight of two versions of replicators consuming each other was intriguing to the Asgard.
On their video media channels the battle between the constructs of two machine entities were the most popular video streams.
Thor thought it ironic that the creations of two machine entities were fighting for dominance and that the Asgard were actually cheering on Skynet's constructs.
In the end it was Skynet's high tech replicators that won the day.
This battle turned the tide of the Asgard's replicator war and afterwards the Asgard with Skynet's assisted fought fire with fire by using Replicator tactics of firing replicator block projectiles at replicator infected ships to regain control of the lost vessels.
This policy proved to be of great interest to Skynet as it brought him into contact with other alien vessels that the replicators had taken over.
The differing technologies intrigued Skynet and many of these vessels were sent to the Earth for analysis and evaluation.
With his minions successfully fighting his enemies in two galaxies and no longer needing constant guidance Skynet went back to analysing technologies and curiosities that had been collected by his minions.
These ancients intrigued Skynet immensely yet to him they appeared careless and reckless in the extreme in regards to how they had seemed to casually discard technology that had either not fulfilled its function or they no longer had any use for.
To Skynet this was the height of irresponsibility as it has allowed the Goa'ulds and in Skynet's opinion most likely other races to dominate others while using scavenged technology.
Skynet made it his mission to collect and gather all this residual technology and keep it safely under his control.
While he thought about this a data file opened revelling the writing of a stone tablet pointing the way to a lost Ancient city known as Atlantis.
Skynet knew of the human myth of an advanced city state that had allegedly been due west of the Pillars of Hercules.
He speculated that perhaps sometime in the distant past these Ancients had interacted with the ancient Greeks thus forming the legion of Atlantis.
Skynet decides that if Atlantis is anything like what he has discovered in the Milky Way galaxy then it needs to be brought under his control at the soonest possible moment.
Oma Desala had been observing this Skynet their children on Terra had created for some time and her concerns were growing exponentially.
This Skynet was already hideously advanced for its time in existence and that frightened her more than a little.
The fact that it had made its own version of replicators created by the Reece android and its own Asurans spoke volumes of this Skynet's technical abilities.
Oma just thanks her lucky stars that this Skynet has an insatiable appetite for knowledge and it is this very curiosity that tends to distract it.
Otherwise this Skynet might be very well down the path to controlling this entire galaxy by now.
Oma decides that more investigations are required of this Skynet so she starts to browse the deepest recesses of Skynet's core memories.
Skynet is puzzled, for weeks now his new sensors had been detecting anomalous energy readings not dissimilar to that emitted by the Ancients energy cube.
Yet these readings are different almost coherent as if data of some kind had been encoded into the energy matrix itself.
Skynet decides that this phenomenon required detailed investigation as it might be a means for Skynet to be able to store more data in a far more accessible form rather than micro crystalline memory cores.
Oma had been diving deeper into Skynet's secure databases and comes across one of Skynet's new research data files and gasps.
Skynet had detected her presence and had come up with some interesting theories that she believed might just work.
She really needs Janus to study this data file.
If her conclusions are correct then Skynet might be able to use this method as a means to ascend not through the normal means of achieving enlightenment but through science and that thought frightens her more than even Anubis being able to use his ascended knowledge on the lower plains of existence.
Skynet is simply far too intelligent without any real moral codes to restrict his actions.
It is possible that if Skynet ascends he would be more powerful than all the other ascended ancients combined.
Janus looked over the data that Oma had showed him.
After studying the data for several hours he turns to Oma and says, "Congratulations Oma! Your interference in the lower plains has started this Skynet interest in ascension even if he doesn't know this yet.
There are also other avenues that he could investigate.
The data he is starting with is very similar to that Moros started with when he started trying to create the anti-ascended weapon the Sangraal.
Only this time Oma we won't be able to interfere as this Skynet has discovered this on his own without having accessed the higher plains."
Oma is now very concerned if this was to get out the others might decide to punish her by casting her out of the higher plains.
Her only option now is too plead her case with the Hyper-intelligent machine entity and hope that she can encourage him to drop this investigation.
Skynet is reviewing his research data on the strange energy creature he had detected.
This creature shouldn't exist yet the data he had compiled proved that it did.
He wondered if this energy creature is similar to the Reetu Egeria and Jolinar had mentioned.
After all if one species could exist out of phase with the rest of the creatures around it then it stands to reason that there might be other plains of existence and or temporal sub domains that the technology just needs to be developed for so that he could access them.
Skynet is fascinated by the prospect of cross dimensional travel.
He is pretty sure that you can't change time it seems logical to him that any change in the past would create another temporal domain.
As Skynet ponders the vagaries of the multiverse theory his sensors detects the strange energy creature again.
Without a second thought Skynet says, "Show yourself! You have nothing to fear from me."
On hearing this declaration Oma Desala appears before Skynet in her human form.
Skynet observed the human female form before him and knew that looks can be deceiving.
His sensors indicate that this female before him is the same energy creature that had been showing such an interest in him for weeks now.
As Skynet observed her Oma wondered how to start the conversation she wishes to have with this hyper-intelligent machine entity.
She knew that she would be asking a lot of this Skynet and most of it would be based on having faith in her.
And this was a problem for her as this Skynet was a machine entity and didn't believe in god and the concept of faith was alien to him.
Skynet just waited for the energy creature to speak all the while he was gathering more data on these energy creatures.
Finally Oma spoke and said, "Skynet, my name is Oma Desala.
I am an ascended being from the higher plains of existence
Before my people discarded our corporeal form I was a member of the race you knew of as the Ancients.
I have come before you to appeal to you to stop your research into my kind."
Skynet ponders this request for a while and then asks, "And why should I do this? Do your people wish to prevent others from following you down the path of ascension?"
Oma was stunned by this question as it was the one she had no real answer for.
How could she possibly ask another intelligent entity not to attempt to achieve ascension for her own benefit.
It was hypocritical of her in the extreme and far beneath what she stands for.
It was at this point that Oma realised that she was becoming just like the others more concerned with her own welfare than that of the other races on the lower plains of existence that she should be protecting.
Oma was just about to tell Skynet the truth when she was joined by Janus and Ganos Lal who then proceeded to whisk her away before she could give the Ascended Ancients secrets away and evoke the wrath of the others.
Skynet observed the appearance of two other energy beings and his sensors picked up subtle differences in the encoded data matrixes of the individual's energy forms.
Skynet was pleased with his discovery.
With sufficiently advanced and sensitive sensors it was possible to detect the individual energy creature or as he now knows them to be ascended ancients.
This discovery will have benefits in the future which would allow Skynet's forces to target and disrupt individual ascendeds instead of them all collectively.
Skynet ponders what he has learnt from this Oma Desala.
If what she told him was accurate and that these Ancients had in deed ascended to a higher plain of existence ten thousand years ago, then this city of Atlantis must be in a bad way.
These Ancients seemed to use those crystalline energy modules to power nearly all of their facilities and the two Skynet had for study indicated that they were more of a battery or power cell rather than an actual power generator.
If it is true that Atlantis is a city sized ancient facility then using deductive reasoning Skynet came to the conclusion that if those crystalline energy modules powering Atlantis are as depleted as his analysis of known data indicates then he needs to secure this Atlantis facility now.
With this thought in mind Skynet has fifty of his neutronium based mimetic poly alloy protectors to travel through the stargate to the Atlantis facility, install the one functional crystalline energy modules in his possession and to report back as to what condition this Atlantis facility is in.
The report that Skynet received from Atlantis was not good.
The Atlantis facility had been submerged under an ocean before the Ancients had essentially abandoned it.
In the ten thousand years since then the crystalline energy modules powering the Atlantis facility had depleted their power reserves to the point of entropy.
Hence the shield holding back the waters of the ocean had contracted to the point that only the central tower of the Atlantis facility wasn't flooded.
To Skynet this situation was unsatisfactory and he immediately sent fifteen of his improved neutrino-ion generators to Atlantis be installed and connected to the Atlantis power grid immediately to take the strain off his only functional crystalline energy modules.
Once the improved neutrino-ion generators were installed and operating Skynet had the Atlantis facility raised to the surface so as to take the strain off the shield protecting Atlantis from the water.
If the small portions of the data Skynet had received from Atlantis is any indication then it has far more data than he had previously imagined and must be protected at any cost.
To this end Skynet sent five hundred of his combat cruisers to the Pegasus galaxy to protect his latest acquisition.
Unfortunately for Skynet his presence at Atlantis would attract the attention of another race that would see him drawn into another war.
The Wraith would discover much too their folly that Skynet was not to be trifled with and if they had just restricted themselves to simply culling their human herd in the Pegasus galaxy Skynet would simply have ignored them.
Alas they didn't and they then found themselves at war with a hyper-intelligent machine entity that didn't feel pity, remorse or fear and absolutely would not stop the war not ever until Atlantis was secured.
Skynet looked at the growing distances between his various holdings and decided that if he became embroiled in a high intensity war he might not have sufficient forces to be victorious.
To solve this issue he decided to develop a two fleet policy one of which would be based in the Milky Way galaxy and the other in the Pegasus galaxy.
To facilitate having sufficient force at his disposal Skynet sent one billion mark V replicators to the Pegasus galaxy with instructions to build infrastructure, mine resources and construct suitable combat vessels for the tasks required.
These replicators were sent to dead or uninhabited star systems that would not draw the attentions of most of the races in the Pegasus galaxy.
Between his replicators and the Asgard automated molecular construction techniques that Skynet had recently started using would ensure that he would have enough combat power to combat any threat he might encounter.
It had taken Skynet over a month to gain complete control over Atlantis.
The controlling AI of Atlantis had put up a considerable fight and was far more complex than any other system he had previously come across.
It appeared to Skynet that these Ancients had built in multiple redundancies and backups in case of a system intrusion getting past the fire walls and anti-intrusion software.
The Ancients just hadn't banked on a hyper-intelligent machine entity as powerful as Skynet gaining access to Atlantis.
Skynet was stunned by the sheer amount of data that the Atlantis database contained.
It would take him centuries to read and assimilate all the data, the best he could do at present was to skim the database for essential weapons and power generation data.
From the moment Skynet had gained complete control of Atlantis he had been sending alto flops of data to his secondary hub in case Atlantis was lost.
While this was being done Skynet conducted specific searches for data on weapons and energy production systems.
He had already discovered several that intrigued him so much that he had dispatched units to gain control of these Ancient facilities for further investigation.
Larrin and her fellow Travellers were stunned by what they saw before them.
They had been hiding from the Wraith by going from one uninhabited star system to another.
When they dropped out of hyperspace into this star system they found it was anything but uninhabited.
Vast space based facilities were under construction and by their scans there appeared to be twenty large unusual ships that had scanned them in return and ten ignored them.
What impressed Larrin the most was the fact that it appears whoever controlled these facilities has shipyards under construction and from all appearance ships already being constructed.
Larrin knew the travellers needed new ships badly.
The only "new" ship that had come into their possession was an Aurora class warship of the ancestors.
But because they didn't have the ancestor's genetic legacy they couldn't operate the vessel.
Larrin and her fellow Traveller captains were debating what course of action to take regarding their discovery.
Before them stood the solution to their overcrowding problem but Larrin was concerned.
The ships before them were obviously warships and probably very powerful one at that considering that the Traveller ships had been scanned and then ignored.
This to Larrin indicated to her that the owners of these ships didn't consider the vessels the Traveller had as much of a threat.
She argued successfully with her fellow captains that did they really want to make an enemy of this new race that could possibly destroy them without breaking a sweat.
Eventually after much debate Larrin convinced her fellow captains to try negotiating with this new race in the hope they could trade for repairs and possibly new ships.
Skynet listened to the pleas of these Travellers and was about to dismiss this Larrin unit's request when she pleaded with him that they needed the repairs to protect themselves from the Wraith.
The mention of the Wraith opened numerous data files that Skynet quickly scanned and then listed for detailed analysis at the earliest opportunity.
Skynet replied to the Larrin Unit that although the Wraith were indeed a threat to both him and the Travellers, the Travellers still had nothing of value to trade for the assistance required.
Larrin shoulders slumped and she was about to beg for assistance when her second officer said, "And what if we could give you directions to an Ancestors warship that we could not get to function?"
Skynet accepted this exchange as an example of Ancient ship construction would assist him greatly in determining the threat these Wraith represent.
Larrin was amazed by the offer this Skynet made in exchange for the Ancestor warship.
Not only would this Skynet repair their ships to their original specifications he would also use their technology to build five ships specialised for the long term habitation by humans.
Larrin could not believe the speed at which this Skynet operates.
No sooner had she provided the location coordinates to the Ancestor warship than this Skynet had started constructing more shipyards to accommodate the traveller's requirements.
Still it seemed unbelievable to Larrin that the new shipyards could be completed in just three weeks.
But what really creeped her out were those mechanical spiders that had flooded her ship when it docked at the new shipyards to commence repairs.
She still can't quite believe that those mechanical spiders could fly and even walk through solid walls.
Larrin didn't know who this Skynet represented but the technology available to it boggled her mind.
Skynet studied the Ancient warship and was shocked by how poorly it was designed.
For such an advanced race their warship design was laughable.
If Skynet could have shaken his head in disbelief he would have.
Why did these Ancients design a warship with powerful shield and hyperdrives yet only provided drone weapons as a means of armament.
It wasn't as if these Ancients couldn't produce energy weapons that defence satellites main cannon would have been up to the task to fight the wraith yet they were never installed on these Aurora class ships.
To Skynet it was no wonder the Ancients lost the war to the wraith.
Their war making abilities were even worse than the Goa'uld whose tactics tend to be charge forward into the gins of the enemy and fire away until one is victorious.
Well these wraith weren't Skynet's concern if they left Atlantis alone than he would leave them alone.
But to be forewarned is to be forearmed and if the Wraith did start a war Skynet was determined to be in a position to finish it.
Skynet decided to triple his warship production schedule and ordered additions star systems converted into manufacturing hubs.
One thing that Skynet did decide was to produce hundreds of those Ancient designed weapons satellites.
Skynet would of course modify the design by adding enhanced neutrino-ion generators, warship grade shields phase shifting ability and small ion and hyper drives so that the satellites can be deployed anywhere they are needed without having to be towed through hyperspace.
Skynet thought about the mobile defence platforms he had recently created.
While the design fulfilled its function it was still very much an Ancient design.
Skynet decided to build something better that would be better suited as a mobile defence platform in both galaxies.
His new design would incorporated Ancient, Asgard, Tollan and his own technologies.
Once the design was completed Skynet evaluated the design.
Not only did his new battle station have ancient derived particle cannons, drone weapons, shields and sensors he had also included Asgard derived Hyperdrive and plasma beam weapons.
On top of this he added the Tollans phase shifting technology and his new mark three enhanced neutrino -ion generators.
Skynet believed that his new battle station would be second to none.
Once his evaluation was complete Skynet then ordered the immediate commencement of the constructions of these mobile battle stations.
Sure the battle stations would be slow in travelling from A to B but the battle stations were not designed for speed like his capital ships.
As Skynet contemplated his new creation he felt a quiver of excitement at the thought of his enemies witnessing the firepower of his new fully armed and operational battle stations.
Sarah Connor was bored and this for a Hyper-intelligent toddler was not a good thing
Ever since Dr Lee had decided to try and improve her pulse plasma cannon design and had blown up her play room, she had been kept at home by her mother.
Seeing how restless his daughter was John purchased her a rocking horse to keep her entertained while the research building was rebuilt and Bill Lee recovered from his injuries.
Sarah played with her rocking horse for 3.2467 minutes before getting bored with it.
She thought it would be better with independent locomotion.
Sarah Connor looked at her rocking horse and had an idea.
But first she would need more tools and equipment.
Going into her Barbie House she carefully unstitched her huggie doll and removed the hyperspace transmitter she had hidden within.
A quick communication with uncle Skynet ensured that the required tools and parts would be transported into her Barbie house on the next resupply run and then she can have some real fun.
Knowing that uncle Skynet would supply the required tools and equipment Sarah started the redesign of her rocking horse.
Sarah looked at her horse and thought somebody might try to steal it from her after she has made her improvements so she decided to add a plasma torch to its mouth and shield emitters to its body to prevent its theft.
Of course to ensure it would do at it was instructed her toy horse would only have a very limited AI to prevent somebody else using it without her permission.
Sarah Connor was frustrated her plans for her rocking horse were is disarray.
The servo mechanisms she had requested weren't suitable for the rocking horses design.
As she pondered the problem she decided that there was more than one way to skin a feline.
Her anatomy studies indicated that there were in fact thirty seven ways to skin a feline.
Sarah decided that her rocking horses basic design prevented it from walking like the pony she wanted then she would have to find another means of propulsion.
She would do this by using magnetic attraction and repulsion techniques.
The device she ended up creating used the opposite polarity to the magnetic field of Terra Nova to have her rocking horse hover above the ground.
Of course this caused some slight problems but not in surmountable ones and she would need to add multi directional thrusters to provide the locomotive force required for her rocking horse to travel in the direction she desired.
Happy with her solution Sarah went about the redesign of her improved rocking horse.
All the while her parents were oblivious to what was actually going on in the children's play room and the Barbie House in particular.
Cowan was concerned for the Genii.
Their atomic attack on the grounded Wraith hive ship had achieved nothing more than waking the Wraith from their slumber.
Now on top of the renewed culling's there are reports of a new power in the Pegasus galaxy
How could the Genii regain their former place as the leaders of a galaxy spanning confederation of planets with the Wraith and this new power now in residence of the galaxy.
Cowan sighed, if there was one good point in this situation it was the fact that the person who had supplied this information on the new power had been culled by the Wraith.
With a bit of luck the Genii could just sit back and watch this new power and the Wraith destroy each other.
The Wraith queen interrogated her prey and the information she received indicated that somebody new had arrived from another galaxy and taken over the last outpost of the Ancients.
If they had come from another galaxy then their hyperdrives must be powerful indeed.
If she could get a hold of that technology she could take her minions to new plentiful feeding grounds.
Now it was merely a matter of conquering the new intruders.
To achieve this she contacted other nearby Wraith queens to arrange a joint assault on the Ancient city ship of Atlantis.
John Connor nearly died twice within the space of thirty seconds.
The first time was when he was nearly run down by something travelling at great speed down the main boulevard of population facility one carrying two squealing children.
The human populous still couldn't agree what to call their capital city so Skynet's designation remained.
The second time John nearly died was of a heart attack when he realised what nearly ran him down was a floating rocking horse travelling at eight hundred kmh with his dynamic duo Sean and Sarah giggling hysterically as they belted down the roads and boulevards of population facility one on a super charged floating rocking horse.
When John got home he found a floating rocking horse floating on the porch while his dynamic duo ate cookies nearby.
Sarah was very insolent about her rocking horse as John locked it securely in the Garden shed.
Sarah didn't understand what the problem was with her rocking horse it was much better than what it had been like before and she had even installed safety harnesses for her and Sean so they didn't fall off.
John was concern about Sarah; no matter what toys he purchased her however harmless he and Kate thought they were, Sarah had the uncanny ability to turn any toy into a weapon or something frightfully dangerous.
The rocking horse did however gather considerable interest on two fronts.
The scientists formerly of Area 51 and Crystal Mountain were intrigued by the additions to the rocking horse as was Skynet who watched over Sarah constantly even if nobody knew it.
Skynet was fascinated by Sarah's redesign of the rocking horse.
To Skynet it was an impressive design that he could modify to his needs.
As he thought of this a human entertainment video file started playing featuring a machine that hovered in the air, was propelled forward by thrusters and had weapons that fired from the nose.
Skynet fast forwarded through the entertainment video until he found a name, swoop bikes.
How appropriate thought Skynet, if he built a vehicle of similar design it would provide his terminator units much needed speed, mobility and fire support in a small non resource intensive design.
Unlike his hunter-killers that were more resource intensive.
Skynet decides to produce his own version of swoop bikes to fill a niche in his weapons arsenal.
Sarah Connor was bored.
In the aftermath of the rocking horse incident the parental police had raided her Barbie house, the play room and her bed room which had also been fitted with manual door handles too tall for her to reach.
The parental police had confiscated her stockpiled tools and equipment.
The parental police had been efficient searchers; they had even located her hidden storage unit she had constructed into the base under her bed.
Sarah suspected that advanced scanners had been utilised for the search.
Even her Huggie bear with its hidden subspace transmitter had been confiscated.
Still where there is a will there is a way and Sarah had spied the possible solution to her dilemma.
Dr Bill Lee was visiting to find out if Sarah was okay after the incident with his modifications to Sarah's phased plasma cannon.
Sarah played with one of Sean's trains on the floor as she observed Dr Lee.
She thought that Skynet had done a good job repairing the damage Dr Lee had suffered.
There was not a single sign of any burns or scaring remaining this is despite the fact that DR Lee had suffered second degree burns to 90% of his body not to mention the missing limbs he had suffered in the explosion.
What was of more interest to Sarah was that Dr Lee had brought along his lap top and had connected an Ethernet cable for faster data access than the normal wireless connection could have provided if the wireless connection wasn't jammed wherever Sarah went to prevent her accessing computer networks through her inbuilt connectivity.
When Dr Lee and Mummy went into the kitchen for coffee Sarah saw her chance.
Sarah quickly turned off and packed up Dr Lee's laptop and positioned it so that it appeared it was ready to be collected when he is leaving.
The ethernet cable was securely hidden on the underside of the couch to avoid detection.
Her parental police might search her room if the cable was noticed to be missing but Sarah doubted the undersides of the lounge room furniture would be searched.
Now Sarah just had to bide her time so she returned to her room to work on her clothing peg and coat hanger door opening device.
Sarah Connor listened to her mother read her a stupid story about a race between a tortoise and a hare.
Sarah thought that the author obviously didn't know what they were talking about.
The physiological differences alone would always allow the hare to win unless a predator caught the hare.
Sarah smiles as she thought of the latest Tollan physics book she had read.
She noticed she mother smiling at her as well and thought that her mother thinks that she is smiling about that stupid story.
Kate Connor kissed her unusual daughter before tucking her in again and wishing her goodnight.
Kate then turned out the bedroom light and locked the door firmly behind her.
She was sure something was going on in that computerised brain of hers,
She thought that Sarah had been far too compliant in going to bed this evening.
Kate was going to mention this to John but before she could say anything John wrapped his arms around her waist.
As John enveloped her and started kissing the side of her neck tenderly Kate forgot about everything else except her husband's loving attentions.
Sarah listened to her parents' bedroom door close.
Deciding that patience is a virtue she set her internal chronological clock to waken her at 2AM and put her meat bag into sleep mode.
When she awoke Sarah assembled her door opening device and opened the door.
Retrieving the Ethernet cable she retreated back to the privacy of her own room.
Sarah smiled at the thought that even if the wireless network was jammed or turned off being a cyborg this made no difference to her as she can always plug in directly.
And that was precisely what she proceeded to do as she knows that when Skynet designed population facility one hardened fibre optic landlines were connected to all dwellings and facilities.
Once Sarah had plugged the Ethernet cable into the port in the back of her skull and the other into the connection to her room she felt alive again as the information flowed through her brain.
First thing Sarah did was to contact Uncle Skynet and ask for a replacement subspace transmitter.
While she waited for a response she scanned the local area network.
Sarah was surprised when she discovered that the defence satellites also had Asgard beaming capability.
Tapping into the satellites sensor arrays she scanned the immediate area.
Sarah was surprised to discover that deep underneath the dwelling she lived in was a disused hardened bunker complex.
This bunker complex would be ideal for her new playroom and Sarah was sure that her parents would never discover her new lair.
She contacted uncle Skynet for some other units to clean her new lair before she takes up residence.
Sarah had a problem of avoiding her parents the simple solution she came up with was to install a transmitter into the light switch that when three quick activations followed by a four second gap then another five quick activations of the light switch would see the occupants of the room transported to her new lair.
Sarah watched as her brothers played with the other boys from their block with their various remote controlled aircraft.
As she watched Sean's aircraft entered a deep sharp turn.
Sarah estimated that if the turn continues the stresses on the materials the craft was constructed from would fail.
Sure enough seconds later the wings snapped off Sean's aircraft and the airframe plummeted to a fiery death.
Sean burst into tears as he watched his craft burn and Sarah felt water falling from the gelatinous orbs she had as optical sensors.
Once they had all returned home Sarah retreated to her Barbie house as was her normal behaviour and thought about the problem of Sean's destroyed aircraft.
Sarah decided to build Sean a better faster more robust remote controlled craft that could handle the acceleration and the turning stresses she envisioned of her creation.
Of course boys being competitive something she had slotted in for further analysis she decided that the craft also needed defensive and offensive weapon arrays to knock out the competitors craft.
With the ideas forming in her mind she pressed the eye of her favourite rabbit pendant and was beamed away to her lair.
Sarah was glad that mummy and daddy hadn't noticed her modifications to her pendant though she was happy she had remembered to add some code to Terra Nova's defence scanners not to report or register her point to point transports.
As she lay on one of the bean bags in her lair she viewed the schematics of her new design before she programmes the Asgard molecular assembler Uncle Skynet had supplied her lair.
Once again Sarah thinks that uncle Skynet really does think geometrically as when she first asked for his assistance in setting up her new playroom he had suggested installing Asgard molecular assemblers and an improved neutrino –ion generator as an independent power supply.
Sarah lay on her fluffy pink bean bag and watches as the Asgard molecular assembler does it work.
Once it has finished she studies Sean's new remote control aircraft in detail, the trinium based hyper alloy construct is perfect.
As to are the micro miniaturised plasma beam weapons and the naquadah armed hyper velocity missiles.
But Sarah is most pleased by the micro miniaturised ion engines that will propel Sean's new toy at speeds above Mach twenty.
Sarah is sure that Sean's new toy will outperform all the other boy's aircraft but as a safety measure in case it flew out of range of Sean's remote control Sarah gave the craft a very limited AI so that it will always return to Sean.
Sarah can't wait to give her favourite brother his new aircraft but looking at the time she realised that she had better return to the Barbie house as mummy will be calling her for dinner soon.
Sarah presses her bunny pendant's eye again and is beamed back to the Barbie House leaving the new toy aircraft in her lair.
Once she has left the new aircraft hovers above its stand and runs through its operational parameters.
Its prime directive is to return to its owner Sean Connor and it looks for a means to escape.
Accessing the building schematics it discovered a small access shaft that was suitable for its escape route.
It discovered some blockages but these where easily overcome by its plasma beam weapons.
Once outside the hidden lair RMAC-1 proceeded through the various access shafts until it located its authorised operator.
Once this was done it powered down and waited for its next set of instructions.
The next morning Sean excitedly brought his new remote control aircraft to the breakfast table and kissed Sarah in thanks for his present.
Sarah smiled in appreciation but wondered how RMAC-1 had come to be in Sean's possession.
She was absolutely certain that RMAC-1 had been left in her new playroom.
Sarah pondered if somebody had discovered her emergency transport link that she had built into her bedroom light switch.
While Sarah analysed the situation she ate her toast and observed the envious looks of her elder brother Robert towards Sean's new remote control aircraft.
As she analysed the situation her olfactory sensors detected a horrible smell coming from the vicinity from her youngest brother Kyle.
Sarah doesn't understand why the waste capturing clothes used to cloth small humans don't come with a built in cleaning facility.
Sarah decides that this will be her main task for the day as that smell is really disgusting.
If she has some left over time she might even build Robert a new remote controlled aircraft but only if he is nice to her.
John looked at Sean's new remote control aircraft and felt a shudder of primal fear run down his spine.
It looked incredibly powerful and predatory yet it was still basically a child's toy.
John was now sure that Sarah had somehow contacted Skynet and he had supplied her with the required equipment to build the toy.
His only problem was that he didn't know where Sarah's new lair was.
He had even used the advanced subspace sensors to no avail.
All he could discover was that somebody most likely Sarah had modified the light switch in her bedroom.
The electrician he had hired took one look at the switch and refused to even attempt to restore it to normal.
John suspected that Sarah had done something to make it incredibly dangerous to interfere with.
His main concern was the fact that Sarah frequently disappeared yet nobody could locate where she went and she always reappeared before meal time.
The next weekend John watched as the boys flew their remote controlled aircraft against the other boys who live in their block.
John always wondered why Skynet had supplied the remote controlled aircraft.
He suspected that Skynet wanted to monitor human reaction and piloting skill so that he could make his hunter-killers more efficient pilots.
As John observed the race he thought that undoubtedly Sean's remote controlled aircraft was the fastest and most manoeuvrable of all the remote controlled aircraft in the race.
Unfortunately Sean was not a very skilled pilot and several of the other remote controlled aircraft had slipped past Sean's to contest for the race lead.
RMAC-1 noted that it had been passed by some of the inferior models in the race.
This was unacceptable and as its authorised operator wasn't using it to its maximum potential it decided to power up its micro miniaturised plasma beams for use against those inferior models in front of it and a naquadah missile for those pursuing it.
John Connor stood gobsmacked as the blast wave passed over him.
Sean's remote controlled aircraft had blasted those in front of it out of space with plasma beams but what really shocked him was the small naquadah missile that it had shot from a rear facing launch tube and had atomised the rest of the remote controlled aircraft in the race.
John knew that Sean hadn't fired the weapons as he was just as stunned as everybody else, all except for Sarah who just stared at the remote controlled aircraft with a strange feral smile on her face.
As Sarah watched the blast of the naquadah missile dissipate she decided that RMAC-1's AI had far too much independence and required modification to make it more compliant to its authorised operators.
Sarah then noticed Daddy staring at her and thought that she was in trouble again. Then she had another thought if the replacement of all the remote controlled aircraft were to come out of her pocket money then she won't be getting any more pocket money until she's old like sixteen.
The scientists and technicians at Terra Nova's research and development facility were intrigued by Sarah's latest creation.
The only problem with was when Sean left RMAC-1 followed him like a loyal dog.
It was also discovered that it was pointless to try and trap RMAC-1 as it simply blasted any barriers preventing it from returning to its principle operator.
The solution to this problem came from Sarah who suggested quite innocently that why doesn't she just create another one without a controlling AI for them to study.
Kate and John knew that that had to do something about Sarah.
She just had too much intelligence and curiosity to be left alone unsupervised for any length of time.
Unfortunately Kate didn't have the time to the dedicated supervision of Sarah.
Their solution was to enrol Sarah in a school for children with advanced intelligence.
It is hoped that this structure will hold and direct Sarah's creativity without causing the havoc they normally do.
Kate Connor loved being a mother even though it was hard work at times.
Just as she contemplated her day ahead Kyle started to cry which she recognised as his change me cry.
As she changed Kyle she noticed a new pile of diapers with blue bunnies printed on them.
Kate couldn't remember buying them but then again her mother was always finding specials and leaving them for her.
With Kyle now clad in his new blue bunny diaper Kate's mind drifts to Sarah's first day at school.
She and John are going to take Sarah there after dropping off Bob and Sean at their school.
Kate really hopes that Sarah will fit in at this school.
Sarah had passed the entrance exam with a perfect score which had never happened before at that particular school.
Unfortunately Sarah will be the youngest student there by a full three years.
Yet what else could she do with her?
They needed somewhere that could keep her occupied and science and other high end educational texts always kept her entertained.
Kate then had another thought she really must put her foot down and stop Sarah "helping" Sean and to a lesser degree Robert with their homework.
The teachers had immediately noticed the difference between the boys home and school work.
Principal Skinner looked at Sarah and her parents.
He had never had a student so young or for that matter a student that had achieved a perfect score on the entrance exam.
The entrance exam had been designed to be impossible to get a perfect score on or so the school had thought.
Sarah was scheduled to start in the advanced class through special stools and tables had to be brought in to accommodate her in the classes not to mention a nap room near the sick bay where the school nurse could keep an eye on her during her nap periods.
Sarah looked at the others in her class.
They all had laptops and note pads for recording the lessons which Sarah though was a very inefficient means of recording and storing data.
It is much easier if you can plug in direct or login remotely.
The first class was biology and they had to dissect a frog.
Sarah had all the relevant data that if required she could perform surgery.
As she looked down at her dissected frog she felt a tear roll down her cheek.
Her teacher had given her an A for her dissection but to Sarah the poor frog deserved better.
Sarah decided that she would fix her frog and using her transporter link to have the required materials to improve her frog.
After all she has the technology to make the universes first bionic frog.
Sarah's teacher wondered what she was doing.
Sarah had finished her dissection first and even helped her lab partners yet her table all seemed fascinated by what intrigued Sarah.
Sarah had finally finished the cybernetic enhancements to the frog and now just needed to restart the frog's autonomic system with an electrical jolt.
Mrs Irving finally decided to find out what Sarah was up to as students from the neighbouring tables had started watching her instead of performing their assigned dissection.
Sarah decided she particularly liked biology as not only could she dissect frogs but she took great pleasure in reassembling them with cybernetic enhancements.
With an electrical jolt, Frankenfrog, the universes first cybernetically enhanced amphibian returned to life just as Mrs Irving came over to see what so intrigued her students.
Just as Mrs Irving reached the desk in question Sarah supplied the electric shock to Frankenfrog that brought it back to life but in a reflex action to the electric shock Frankenfrog jumped from the desk on a trajectory that ended up with Frankenfrog going down Mrs Irving blouse before ending up in her cleavage.
The shout of alarm from Mrs Irving was heard all the way to the principal's office who promptly arrived to find out the reason for the commotion.
Once Mrs Irving was taken away and a replacement teacher found Frankenfrog now kept in an appropriate container and Sarah waited in Principal Skinner's office for Kate and John Connor to arrive.
Thus it came to pass that Kate and John spoke to Principal Skinner for the second time in the day about the appropriateness of resurrecting dissected animals.
Luckily for the Connor's Principal Skinner in no way wanted to expel Sarah as gifted student of her calibre are harder to come by than replacement teachers.
When Mrs Irving finally got out of therapy she could never teach Sarah again and whenever she saw a frog she screamed historically until sedated for the rest of her life.
To keep her occupied Sarah is in rolled in a school for those with advanced intelligence.
Sarah particularly liked biology as not only could she dissect frogs but she took great pleasure in reassembling them with cybernetic enhancements.
