As everyone reached Priderock with lifted spirits, Rafiki was already waiting for them. He smiled when he saw Eisha and a few others from Scar's Pride.

Kopa and Kiara headed into the royal den since their wounds weren't serious.

Kopa felt a peace that he had never felt before. Finally after all these years he could relax. He finally knew who was family truly was. The only thing that could make Kopa happier at the moment was Nala but he knew that she was always watching over them.

Although part of his heart was still mourning for Vitani, Nuka and Akila. He wished they could have realized their wrongs like he and Eisha had but they hadn't. He could only have hope that they would realize and receive forgiveness for their mistakes in the afterlife. He hoped they would, and when he exchanged a look with Kiara he knew she was thinking the same thing.

After a few minutes, Simba walked into the den. He smiled at the sight of Kiara and Kopa resting together peacefully. It was a sight that he had thought that he would never see.

Neither of them had any words to say. All they knew was that they were finally together again and that was all that mattered to them at the moment.

Back in the main den, Eisha watched all the families together happily as they rested. Danyssa with Tama and Moraan. Kovu and Jasiri with their parents. Haru with Shari and Amri. Her heart ached for both Shanti and Ashika.

Part of her was furious at Shanti for lying to her and for killing her birth mother. But the other part of her wanted nothing more than to be with Shanti. Eisha had grown up thinking that Shanti was her mother and ignoring that was impossible. Closing her eyes, she softly began to weep for both of her mothers along with her two other brothers.

Tanabi came and settled next to her letting his sister lean against her for support. He knew that after a while she would recover. The only thing that could truly mend wounds both mentally and physically was time. While his own heart was heavy with sadness for his mother, he knew that had been her fate all along. Kana had been unable to let go of her anger and Tanabi could only hope that she had let go of it in the afterlife and was now watching over him like the true mother she had once been to him.

He only needed time for this wound to heal as well.

Three weeks passed and everything was well in the Pridelands. Everyone in the Pride had healed both mentally and physically and their spirits were lifted more now that everything was at peace and their Prince was back for sure.

Kopa couldn't have been happier. Although he had chosen not to be the future King, Simba had still insisted on giving him 'Kingly' lessons in case Kovu ever needed help. If he wasn't training, he would be enjoying his time with his friends and family.

Kopa had mended his relationships with the entire rebel Pride. He spent time with his grandparents knowing that they're time was getting short.

Kopa had also come to realize that time was precious. He only wished that he had realized that back when his mother was around.

He was still close with Eisha and he began re building his relationship with Tanabi. It didn't take long for both of them to be laughing and joking around again like they had when they had been cubs.

After another two months, Kiara and Kovu were officially announced as mates. Kopa had been hoping to ask Jasiri to be his mate. The two of them had been spending a lot of time together since the battle and they seemed to have an unspoken bond together.

Kopa found the perfect opportunity when he was with her one early morning before sunset.

"Hey 'Siri?" Kopa said. "I was hoping to talk to you about something."

"Sure," Jasiri said. "What do you want to talk about?"

"I...I was going to say…that…that…you…I mean…I …" Kopa couldn't stop stammering from his nervousness and Jasiri laughed.

"Sure Kopa," Jasiri grinned. "I'll be your mate." She licked his cheek.

Kopa gawked at her. "How did you know I was going to ask?"

Jasiri laughed. "I've known you for ever since I could remember. I know what you're thinking of. Besides, if I didn't put up with you, who would?" She laughed again as Kopa tried pouncing on her but she managed to pin him down.

"I love you," Kopa purred licking her cheek and Jasiri happily returned his affection.

"Come on." Jasiri said, helping him up. "Let's go tell the rest of the Pride."

About eight months passed and Kiara gave birth to her first cub. To her delight it was a daughter and she and Kovu had named her Amali. She had a creamy light golden brown coat and amber red eyes.

A month and a half after Kiara had given birth; Jasiri who had also been pregnant had twin boys. She and Kopa had named the first born Kion and the second one Ari. Kion had a golden brown coat like his father and emerald green eyes like his mother. Ari had brown fur like Jasiri and bright blue eyes like Nala and Kiara.

But those weren't the only additions to the Pride. Danyssa and Haru were mates and they had a son named Kali.

Eisha had taken Kahiri in as her mate. Kahiri was also from Scar's Pride but like Eisha he had realized his wrongs and had been given forgiveness for it as well. A month after the birth of Kion and Ari, Eisha had a daughter that she had named after her late mother, Ashika.

Tanabi and Lena had ended up mates just like they been intended as in the beginning but both of them were happy with their marriage. Around the same time that Eisha had given birth, they had a son and a daughter that they had named Mheetu and Safiya.

Nala's cousins, Zuri and Anjani were also now fully grown up. Zuri and Malka were mates and had a son named Afua three months after the birth of Amali. Kula's brother Sahil had taken Anjani in as his mate and they had a daughter that they named Malaika.

Nala's brother Hofu had taken Zawadi as his mate and now the couple were expecting their first cub in a month.

Simba, Chumvi, Kula, Tama, Shari and all his other friends were thrilled to become grandparents and lovingly doted on their grandchildren. Unless they were spending time with their mates, they would all be enjoying time with the new additions to the Pride. Sarafina, Sarabi and all the others were getting old now and their time was short but they still enjoyed the time they had with their grandchildren and now great grandchildren.

Kopa had heard Nala's voice whispering how proud she was of him on the day that his sons were born and Kopa figured that it was true and he really had heard Nala's voice. She was truly watching over them. He had told Kiara about it and Kiara had told him that she had also heard Nala's voice on the day that Amali was born.

One night Kopa was in the den with Jasiri. Their sons were curled in between them, taking in the warmth from their parents.

Suddenly there was a mew from Ari as he woke up, mewing and calling out for his mother. Jasiri picked him up and soothingly covered him with licks to calm him down. Disturbed by Ari's movements, Kion also opened his eyes looking around for his mother. Kopa picked his oldest up and placed him in his paws. Kion mewed and batted his father with his paws as Kopa tickled him with his nose, both of them enjoying themselves while Jasiri laughed.

"He's probably hungry," Kopa said, leaning over and nuzzling Ari who was batting Jasiri with his tiny paws. Jasiri placed him at her side to nurse and then picked Kion up to give him a bath.

Kion whined and mewed at Jasiri, trying to wriggle his way out of her paws. Kopa and Jasiri both chuckled; knowing bath time with him would be a fight.

"I'll have to go through what my mother had to go through with Uncle Kovu, and what your grandmother had to go through with your father." Jasiri said, nudging her son.

Kopa grinned, "Well what can I say. Both of them are just like me."

"That's what I'm afraid of. What're you going to do on the nights that I'm not here to bath them?" Jasiri chuckled, using her nose to roll Kion over.

Kopa picked Ari back up into his paws before bending down so he was eye level with Kion. "I'll just let Aunt Kiara or Aunt Eisha to give you two a bath. Both of them are just great at that!"

"Kopa if you think that I'm going to bathe your sons for you and make life easier for you, you are clearly mistaken!'' Eisha called from where she was with her daughter and mate. There was a grin on her face as she looked at her brother. Kopa and Jasiri just laughed. Kopa still was Eisha as his sister no matter what. Sure Kiara would always be special to him, but Eisha was still his sister just as Tanabi was still his brother.

After a while, Jasiri and most of the rest of the Pride were asleep. Kopa stayed up, admiring his sons. He had been thrilled when she had given birth to two sons. He wanted to teach everything he knew to his sons. Everything that Simba had wanted to teach him, he would teach his sons. He vowed to never let his sons or any of his nieces and nephews to go through the tragedy he had gone through. He would never let that happen.

"I'm so proud of you little one,'' Nala's voice whispered through his ears. "You truly are mine and Simba's son."

"Thanks Mom," Kopa whispered with a smile. "For everything you've done for me." He knew without his mother, he would never be here enjoying his life with his sons, mate and the rest of his family.

In the end, Nala truly had kept her promises to him.

Nala watched as her Pride slept peacefully in the warm dens of Priderock. She couldn't have been happier with the way that things had turned out. She had been thrilled at the arrival of her three grand cubs and she was saddened to know that she couldn't have a moment with them in life but she would watch over them just as she watched over her son and daughter along with the rest of her family.

She bent down and nuzzled her two new grandsons although she knew that they couldn't see her and probably couldn't feel her either. She then nuzzled her son who twitched slightly in his sleep with an annoyed look that he always had since he had been a cub when someone disturbed his sleep.

"Sleep tight my little Princes," Nala said, giving the two newborns another nuzzle before going over to her daughter.

Nala licked the top of her sleeping granddaughter's head. She mewed slightly in her sleep and Nala chuckled.

"You'll be a wonderful Queen someday. Just like your mother." Nala said as she bent down and rubbed her cheek against Kiara. Nala then went over to her mate and settled next to him.

"I'll always wait for you," Nala whispered. "I promise. Then we can finally be together and nothing will ever rip us apart." She gave him another nuzzle before closing her own eyes.

One night Simba was in the meadow by himself, happily thinking about how well everything was going. He was now content with his daughter and son in law ruling and happy with his three grand cubs. It would have been all perfect if Nala was with him but he always knew that she was watching over them.

Simba smiled into the starry night. "Everything worked out perfectly Nala. Kopa and Kiara are happy just like you wanted them to me." Nala's brave fight for her cubs to go on hadn't been in vain. Around him he felt a warm wind go by and he smiled knowing that Nala agreed with him.

With that, the former King went back to Priderock to be with his family. In the end, that was all that mattered. Family.

Well so that was the last chapter and I hope you enjoyed the story. I want to thank all those who reviewed and kept me going when I thought I couldn't write anymore. They truly did help.

I don't know if I will be doing a sequel to this or not. I don't really have any ideas for it but if I do, I promise I will be writing a sequel. I do however have some ideas for some other stories that I would like to write. I hope to see all my lovely reviewers on that story as well. Stay tuned for my next story which will be coming out pretty soon!
