Well, the time has finally arrived. The last chapter. This was quite the journey, my first fanfiction, it consumed a lot of my time but it was so worth while. I will wait to be sappy at the end.

I still own nothing regarding Once Upon a Time.

I hope you enjoy and don't experience too much of a sugar rush.

Regina closed the door behind her and sighed in relief as she kicked off her heels in the foyer. It had been a long, exhausting week at the office. She and Snow had been sorting out issues that had arisen among the townspeople during the witch's time of wrecking havoc. Robin had been helping out at the Sheriff's office with Emma and Charming much to his bewilderment, "Working with the Sheriff….what a strange new world I have entered," he had exclaimed one evening to her. She hadn't seen much of Robin in the last week, both of them kept busy restoring order to Storybrooke, calming the fears of the people. It was not an easy task trying to reassure a town full of people who had been through curse after curse that all threats had been eradicated.

Regina heard laughter coming from the den and quietly made her way down the stairs towards the sound. She stopped at the bottom of the steps and her heart soared at the sight she saw. Robin and Henry were in an intense remote control car race, while Roland was jumping up and down in excitement, his little voice urging Henry's car to win. The cars were neck and neck until Robin's hit the leg of the chair, flipping over. Henry let out a holler of victory, as he and Roland high-fived. "Beat you again Hood," Henry teased

Robin groaned lightly, turning the remote control in his hands looking it over, "This device is faulty," he said seriously.

Henry laughed, "We've switched five times, admit defeat."

"Never," Robin growled playfully, his hand reaching out to tousle Henry's hair, his other hand tickling Roland, all three of them laughing.

Regina felt tears of joy sting her eyes. The three most important people in her life were together and they were all happy. For the longest time Regina had thought this dream was impossible and yet here they were.

Roland spotted her first, "Regina!" he cried out, running to her. He lifted his arms up for her to pick him up which she did willingly. Roland wrapped his arms around her neck in a tight hug, a hug in which Regina was sure she would never grow tired of.

"Hey mom," Henry exclaimed, greeting her with a kiss on the cheek.

"Hi sweetheart," she smiled. Her eyes locked with Robin's, his danced with joy at her presence which caused her heart to skip a beat.

"I see you are just as unskilled at racing cars as you are at racing horses," she said, her voice mischievous.

Robin snorted, "I believe cheating is a Mills family trait," he told her, slowly making his way towards her.

"You're just a sore lose….," before she could get the rest of the word out, Robin's lips had captured hers. She hummed in appreciation, having missed him, his kisses that week. His hand wrapped around her waist, pulling her closer.

Their display caused both Henry and Roland to groan. Roland, still in Regina's arms, put one hand on his father's cheek and the other on Regina's. "Get a room," he said to them, causing Henry to bark out a laugh.

Robin and Regina pulled apart, both looking at Roland in surprise. "Where did you hear that from?" Regina asked him.

"Grumpy said it when you were kissing at Granny's after breakfast the other day," he answered innocently, "I don't know what it means," he said.

"That dwarf….," Regina muttered under her breath.

Robin simply laughed, delighted, taking Roland out of Regina's arms, hanging him upside down. "You're a silly boy," he said to his son, swinging him back and forth, his actions making Roland giggle.

Regina couldn't help but smile at the display.

Robin put Roland upright once more, "Alright my boy, time to get ready for bed."

"Aw Papa, Regina just got home," Roland stuck out his lower lip, in a soft pout.

"I'll come up and snuggle with you in a few minutes," she promised. This seemed to appease Roland as he leaned over from Robin's arms to grab Regina's cheeks, giving her a quick kiss on the lips.

"Henry too," he called as Robin carried him up the stairs.

Regina looked over at her son, holding out her arm. He come to her instantly as she wrapped both of her arms around him in a tight hug, placing a soft kiss on his forehead. Not that long ago, this was something that she never thought she would get to do again, it was also something he hadn't allowed her to do for a brief time before that. She was going to take advantage of every opportunity she was given to hold her son close.

They walked arm and arm up the stairs together, making their way into the sitting room. "I feel like we've hardly seen each other this week," Regina said to him, her hand playing with the hair on the back of his neck.

"Yeah, things in town are pretty crazy after the witch, huh?" Henry asked her.

Regina nodded her head in agreement as the two sat down on the sofa. "Yes, I think things are almost back in order….thankfully," she told him. She grabbed his hand, "I'll finally have some time and you are off to New York," she said sadly, already missing her son.

Henry looked at her concerned, "Did you need me to stay?" he asked, "I will," he told her earnestly. He was still slightly shook up from her near death, that seemed like a lifetime ago.

"No," Regina insisted, "You should go. I'll just miss you," she told him.

"I'll miss you too, but it's only for four days, just to say goodbye to my friends and then I'll be back….for good," he added in, reassuring her.

She gave him a soft smile, her hand reaching up to stroke his cheek. "You really loved New York, didn't you?" She felt guilty that he was being torn away from the life that he and Emma had built there.

"I did," he answered honestly. "But this is where I want to be. Storybrooke is my home," he looked at her then, "You are my home."

Regina swallowed the sob that threatened at her son's words. Her eyes glistened with unshed tears as she quickly leaned forward to press a kiss to his brow.

Henry continued, "Would it be ok if I came to stay with you when I got back?" he asked. "Mom….Emma…. is going to look for a place of her own. I thought I'd stay here during that time. When she finds a place….I'll go back and forth." He seemed a little nervous asking her, Regina thought. Who could blame him? For so long Regina was livid at the thought of having to share her son with Emma. She now understood how important it was that he have a relationship with his biological mother. Having a relationship with Emma didn't make his relationship with her any less significant. She was still his mom as well.

"It sounds like a great plan," she told him. "This is your home, you are welcome to stay here whenever you want."

Henry smiled happily at her before the grin turned devilish, "Will Robin be living here as well," he teased.

Regina could feel a blush threatening to colour her cheeks, her heart picked up speed, she had never really thought about asking Robin to move in. He had just been here ever since his memories returned and it had felt so natural. It was as if this was where he and Roland belonged. It then hit her that she had never asked for Henry's opinion. She had just told him this was his home always, which it was. That meant he had a say in who lived here. She suddenly grew nervous, what if Henry didn't want Robin and Roland here longterm, what if he didn't like Robin?

Henry must have picked up on her anxiousness. "Mom, what's wrong?" he asked, grabbing her hand once more.

"Are you alright with Robin and….and I….," her hand moved back and forth between herself and upstairs, as her voice trailed off.

"Mom," Henry said, "It's Robin Hood….you're dating Robin Hood….that is epic."

She let out a small laugh, "Don't let him hear you say that….it would go straight to his head."

Henry laughed as well before sobering, "Seriously mom, he is awesome." Regina smiled at her son, relieved and feeling a little of something else that she couldn't quite place. "I just want you to be happy," Henry told her, squeezing her hand.

If as on cue the man they had just been discussing came down the stairs, a soft smile on his face as his eyes fell on mother and son.

"Roland is ready for that story whenever you are ready," he said to Henry.

"Great," Henry said as he stood. He turned to look at Regina, "I promised I would read to Roland earlier today. You coming up in a bit?" he asked.

"Yeah," Regina answered.

"Awesome," he exclaimed, running up the stairs, two at a time it seemed. It overwhelmed her once again just how much he had grown over the last year, the year she had missed.

Her eyes turned to take in the man that was watching her. Her hand came up automatically, beckoning him, he didn't hesitate in coming to her. His hand gripped hers tightly as he sat next to her on the sofa. She snuggled into his side immediately, taking comfort in his presence. Her lips pressed a kiss on his neck quickly before she buried her head into his shoulder.

"Long day?" she heard his voice rumble.

She hummed in response, "Long week…..hell long year," she muttered.

"Things will soon settle," he said, his finger playing with a strand of her hair.

She felt herself tense at his words, fear constricting her heart. She wasn't sure she knew how to settle, how to do normal.

Robin must have felt her tense, his hand stopped twirling in her hair, instead he used that same hand to guide her face so she was looking at him. "Regina, is there something wrong?"

"No," Regina said quickly, pushing her conflict deep within her. Robin didn't seem convinced. "How was your day?" she asked, changing the topic.

Robin regarded her with searching eyes before deciding against pushing her for answers, much to her relief. "It was….interesting," he finally answered, his finger once again tangling in her hair. She loved when he did that, it always worked to calm her.

"What do you mean, interesting?" she inquired.

"Emma asked me if I would be interested in helping out at the Sheriff's department full time. Me…..a deputy," he laughed in disbelief.

"What did you say?" she looked at him, genuinely curious about his answer to Emma.

"I told her I needed time to think it over. Emma Swan is no Sheriff of Nottingham but still….my men would never let me live this down….working for a Sheriff," he groaned, shaking his head. "I need to have some employment though since bartering and….stealing are not very accepted in this land. The only person I have found willing to barter with me here is Granny."

"Granny? What do you barter with?" Regina asked.

"Coffee….for my smiles," he said, a huge grin lighting up his face. Regina groaned at his answer. Robin shrugged his shoulders, "Granny fancies me….you better watch yourself….she is quite good with a crossbow," he said.

"Well I have one hell of a right hook," Regina countered.

Robin made a humming noise deep within his throat, "That is true and it is incredibly sexy," he said in a low voice, turning his head and leaning down, his lips settling on her neck sucking lightly on all the right places. Regina tilted her head to allow him more room to maneuver. She let out a soft moan as his teeth scraped against her skin. Regina felt Robin's body shift beside her, turning slightly so he was able to press closer to her, his mouth still working magic on her neck. He pushed her back on the sofa, the weight of his body relaxing into her in the most heavenly way, her hands immediately wrapped around him. Here they were making out on the couch, their boys upstairs, no threat hanging to tear them apart and it all felt so overwhelming. You don't deserve normal, her heart whispered to her. She suddenly pushed against Robin, forcing him back into a sitting position.

"Regina?" he questioned, his face concerned.

"I promised Roland, I'd come up to his room to spend time with him before he went to sleep," she told him, trying to avoid looking at him. He could always read her like a book.

She went to stand and Robin grabbed her hand, "Regina….talk to me, don't shut me out," his voice pleaded with her, he face still perplexed by her sudden actions.

Regina glanced at him quickly, her heart yearning to tell him all but her habit of fleeing out of fear working hard to win the battle. "I will...just not….not now. I promised Roland," she told him quietly, disentangling her hand from his, leaving him bewildered on the sofa as she quickly went to find refuge with the boys.

She tiptoed quietly out of Roland's room. The two of them had cuddled for sometime and both promptly fell asleep snuggled together. She felt guilty for leaving Robin in a state of confusion but she'd be lying if she said she hadn't stayed longer in Roland's room to avoid his questions. So many years of believing she didn't deserve normalcy, that she didn't deserve happiness was suddenly hitting her like a freight train now that both of those things were within her reach. Just like always she was being her own worst enemy.

She stepped into their room and saw Robin, clad only in pajama bottoms, sleeping on the bed. A part of her was disappointed that he was asleep, the other part of her was relieved. She would talk to him tomorrow. A book laid across his chest, it seemed as if he had tried to wait up for her but had fallen asleep himself. She crawled onto the bed, picking the book off of him and setting it on the nightstand. Her eyes took in his sleeping form, he was truly an attractive man. She scraped her fingers lightly over his chest, her other hand brushing his hair off of his forehead. It had gotten so much longer over these last couple of months. She leaned over and placed a kiss on his temple.

"Are you ready to talk to me?" she heard his voice rumble faintly, causing her to jump a little. His eyes were watching her as she finally looked at him.

"I thought you were sleeping," she said quietly.

"I was waiting for you….. I thought perhaps you were avoiding me?" he phrased his statement as a question.

Regina took a deep breath, she needed to be honest, especially with Robin. "I was," she told him.

Robin closed his eyes for a brief moment. He sat up straighter in the bed and looked her in the eyes. She could see unshed tears shining there. "If you want me to leave," he started, "I will...I will give you all the space you need. But Regina...I need you to know….I won't give up on this," he waved his hand between the two of them, "I won't give up on you," he told her, his voice firm, his decision made.

Regina immediately pushed herself forward grabbing his hand, the need to touch him overwhelming her. He was the lifeline that anchored her. "I don't want you to leave," she said quickly, her voice coming out desperate. That was the last thing she wanted. She sighed, frustrated with herself, she was already messing things up. "I'm...I'm scared," she finally admitted.

"Of me?" Robin asked concerned.

"No," she said immediately, she looked at him and sighed sadly at his expression of hurt, "Yes," she admitted. "Not in the way you think," she quickly assured him. "I'm terrified of hurting you, of hurting Roland….Henry. I don't know how to do….normal."

She turned his hand over in hers, interlacing their fingers together, she stared at their joint hands, trying to focus on the words she was about to say. "I was the Evil Queen for so long and before that life with my mother was everything but normal. In the last couple of years there was threat after threat," she said. Her eyes went to his once more, "We've been dealing with this witch ever since we've met, our lives have been focused on defeating her for over a year now, we came together in such an abnormal situation. For the longest time I didn't even know how to love properly….I'm so afraid I won't be able to be the person you, Roland and Henry deserve. What if I'm not good at this love thing? What if I can't do normal?" she asked, desperately seeking answers.

"You think I am normal?" he questioned, his eyes shining in a slightly teasing way, "I lived in the forest with a bunch of men, stealing from the rich. I fear every day that you are going to wake up and wonder why you are taking this chance with a mere common thief as I." He smiled at her which elicited a small smile from her in return.

He squeezed her hand and pulled her towards him. "Regina," he said softly, "In the time that we have spent together, I have seen many sides of you. I know you. I know that this," he said as he placed his hand over her heart, "that you….love stronger than anyone I know." Regina could feel the tears pool in her eyes as Robin spoke his tender words.

"I am no saint," he continued, "I have made many mistakes in the past, some I regret…..some I do not. But we can't live in the past Regina, the stone helped us realize that in some ways I believe. It is time to focus on our future. Is it going to be easy? No. We will both make mistakes, we are going to fight," his hand traced over her cheek, "We will have incredible sex when we reconcile," he said in a low voice. Regina snorted in response but couldn't stop the thrill that charged through her body at the look that passed between them. "The one thing I know for a fact is that I want to go on this journey, face every storm and every triumph with you," he whispered.

The tears fell freely down Regina's cheeks. Robin cupped her face as he wiped them away with his thumbs, his fingers tangling in her hair as his hands remained cradling her head. "I love you," he told her, "and if you will have me, I am yours….forever."

Once again Robin had that incredible ability to leave her entirely speechless. The self doubt and the hatred of herself that had accumulated over the years would not disappear over night, that she knew, but with Robin beside her the future didn't seem so daunting.

Without the use of words to express herself, she closed the space between them, her lips seeking out his. She intended to show him exactly how much he meant to her, how much his words had meant to her. She pushed against him knocking him over from his kneeling position on the bed. Her hand traveled up his bare chest taking in the feel of his harden muscles, every plain, every groove. Their lips came together in desperate longing, she poured every emotion she felt for him into the kiss. Her tongue demanded control pushing it's way into Robin's mouth battling with his, he let out a moan from deep within his chest.

She pushed him back onto the bed, their mouths tearing apart in need for air. He regarded her in his position, laying on the bed, as she slowly climbed over him, straddling him, one of her knees on either side of him. She could feel the stirrings of his arousal from where she sat. The feel of him hardening underneath her made her pulse quicken. She grinded against him causing him to groan out her name in a strangled voice. His hands found a home on her hips, his thumbs tracing circles under her shirt sending shivers throughout her whole body. His eyes darkened even more as he watched her unbutton her blouse slowly revealing the black lace bra she wore under it. He lifted one hand and gently brushed his finger against the curve of her breast. She closed her eyes at the sensation of pleasure a touch of his, even that small, could cause in her. She reached behind her to unhook the bra and Robin watched hungrily as she removed it. He let out a soft growl as she tossed the garment aside, his arms wrapping around her waist, flipping them over so that he now was on top of her.

Regina trembled at the intensity she saw in his eyes, overwhelmed by the love his gaze held. His head slowly came towards her, his lips kissing the scar on her upper lip softly. He moved down to her shoulder, kissing where the arrow had pierced her on that fateful day they had met and finally he landed on the spot where the glass had sliced through her side and her stomach, the spot where death had almost taken her. His lips, his touch were so tender that it caused tears to spring to her eyes. He pressed his cheek against the non-existent scar, her hand immediately curled into his hair trying to offer him some comfort, she could feel his tears against her bare stomach. After a few moments his lips found hers once more and they spent the rest of the evening wrapped in each others arms, loving one another, comforting one another, and making each other come apart.

The next week flew by quickly. Henry had returned from New York and had moved back into his old room. Roland had been following him around constantly having missed him when he had been away. Regina had to restrain herself from doing the same thing. She was beyond delighted that he was living with her once more, the past few days with her three boys had been pure bliss.

She looked in the mirror adding the final touches to her make-up. She was getting ready for the party Snow had organized to celebrate the births of Brendan and Juliana. Regina had figured she would not truly be wanted by most in attendance and had declined the invitation but of course Snow White had insisted she be there. Regina reached around to try and finish pulling the zipper of her dress the rest of the way up. She let out a growl of frustration when she was unable to grasp it.

She heard a light chuckle behind her and caught Robin's eye in the mirror. "Having troubles m'lady?" he asked, a devilish grin on his face.

"Wipe that damn smile off your face and help me," she demanded.

"I love it when you're feisty," he said lightly grabbing her hip and pulling the zipper up the rest of the way. "I would much rather undress you to be honest," he mumbled wrapping his arms around her, pulling her to him, his lips devouring her neck.

"Robin," she sighed in pleasure, "We're going to be late."

"Then we will be late," he breathed against her ear, his hands skimming over her ass causing her to hum in appreciation at his touch.

"Papa! Regina! It's time for the party," Roland exclaimed bouncing into the bathroom.

"I really need to learn to lock the doors," Robin groaned against her neck. She laughed as she bent to scoop Roland into her arms.

"Are you ready sweetheart?" she asked the young boy in her arms. Roland nodded his head eagerly. "We're going to have cake and ice cream and see fireworks," he rambled on.

"Slow down my boy," Robin laughed. "Let's get Henry and go before this one erupts from excitement," he said to Regina, wrapping an arm around them as they left the room.

Regina's hand tightened around Robin's as they neared the party. It was all being held outdoors in the town square. Roland bounced excitedly next to her. She took a couple of deep breaths, trying to calm her nerves. Entering parties in this town had never been very pleasant for her. The town always not wanting her there. She gained confidence as Robin squeezed her hand in reassurance. This time was different, this time she had family, this time there were people that wanted her there.

Henry spotted Emma and Hook mingling with the Charming's and he took off to greet them, Roland of course his little shadow.

"Are you alright," Robin whispered in her ear. "If not I can feign an injury so we can leave."

Regina let out a small laugh, kissing him quickly on the lips, "I can handle it as long as you are by my side," she told him.

"Always," he said, his eyes burning into hers. She leaned in to kiss him one more time.

They heard a cough and looked to see John standing there, "Seems I am always catching you two at the most inopportune time," he mumbled apologetically.

"Non-sense," Regina laughed, leaning in to press a kiss against his cheek.

"You look most beautiful Regina," he said.

Regina smiled at his compliment, "Thank you."

"Hey now," Robin interjected, grasping his friends hand in a firm handshake. "She is taken," he told him.

"John would be your only serious contender for my affections," Regina teased, brushing her hand along Robin's cheek, her thumb circling over his dimple.

John let out a laugh, "I would be so lucky," he told her.

Soon Tinkerbell joined them. After greeting her, John and Robin left the two women to talk making their way over to chat with some of Robin's other men.

"So….," Tink began, a large smile gracing her face.

Regina sighed, "You were right….I was wrong," she mumbled to the fairy.

Tinkerbell let out a delighted laugh, before she turned serious, "I'm so glad you found happiness Regina," she said, grabbing her hand.

Regina cleared her throat to prevent the tears from forming in her eyes. She was not going to live in the past and think about all of the what ifs. As Robin had said, they were going to focus on the future….together.

"What about you?" Regina asked the fairy. "Anyone certain caught your eye?" she said her eyes travelling to Neal across the room.

"Regina...," Tink warned.

"What?" she asked innocently.

"Oh God, I've created a love monster," Tink groaned.

The two women laughed, Regina was quite pleased to be once again catching up with her friend.

"Hey Regina, Tink," the two women turned around to face Snow White, who held her new son in her arms.

"Hi Snow," Tink exclaimed immediately going towards her to look at Brendan in her arms, "Oh, he is so adorable," she cooed.

Regina smiled warmly at Snow, "Hello," she greeted. It still sometimes felt surreal to Regina that she was genuinely pleased to see Snow White.

The princess smiled back, "I'm so glad you are here," she told Regina.

"I'm glad I came," Regina told her honestly. The two stood smiling at one another. The past finally not an issue between them.

"Someone has been wanting to meet you," Snow said indicating the bundle in her arms. "Would you like to hold him?"

"Oh," Regina exclaimed softly, surprised. "Y...yes, I would….I would love to," the words stumbled out.

Snow gently transferred her son into the arms of her former step-mother, "Brendan," she said softly, "This is Regina. She saved your life….and mine," Snow's eyes connected with Regina's, both women had tears in their eyes.

Regina looked down at Brendan, smiling, "Hi Brendan," she whispered, the baby made some gurgling sounds and his face scrunched up in what could be passed off as a smile. All three women laughed.

Regina heard someone else approach and she looked up, her breath hitching when she saw Robin staring at her and the baby. She saw desire flash in his eyes and watched as he swallowed slowly before speaking. "He looks quite content," he said quietly. A silent understanding passed between the two of them. Perhaps someday it would be them that held a new bundle of joy in their arms. Regina felt quite content with that idea.

The time for fireworks was approaching, Regina and Robin sat together on a blanket on the ground holding hands.

Roland made his way towards them, a yawn escaping his mouth as he climbed into Regina's lap. "Hi sweetheart," she whispered, rubbing her hand through his hair.

"Hi," he whispered back snuggling deeper into her embrace.

"Are you getting sleepy?" she asked.

"No," he quickly answered as he yawned once again. Regina and Robin exchanged amused smiles.

"Is it time for the fireworks?" he asked.

"Just about," Robin answered.

"Ok," Roland said yawning again. A few minutes passed and Regina thought the young boy had fallen asleep but then he spoke once more, "Regina?" he asked quietly.

"Yes, love," she answered.

"Do you remember when you 'dopted Henry?"

"I do," she said, a little confused by this line of questioning.

"And you're his mommy even though he wasn't in your belly?" he asked

"Yes," Regina whispered, her heart hammering wildly in her chest. She glanced over at Robin and could see the wonderment in his eyes, causing her heart to race even more quickly if that was possible.

"Could you be my mommy too?" Roland finally asked, looking up at her with wide adoring eyes.

"I….," Regina was overwhelmed and was finding it very difficult to form words. "I….," she searched Robin's eyes, seeking his approval. He lifted her hand and kissed it, unable to speak himself. "Yes," she finally answered, "If that is what you would like. I would love to be your….mommy," her voice trembled as she spoke the word mommy.

Roland smiled brightly up at her. His little hand caressed her face, "I love you mommy," he told her sleepily.

She held back her sob, "I love you too," she whispered.

Suddenly beautiful colours lit up the sky, Roland let out a gasp of delight as he watched the fireworks go off. Regina's heart rejoiced as Henry joined the three of them on the blanket, high-fiving Robin as he sprawled out in front of them.

Regina glanced at the three people surrounding her, her heart feeling incredibly full at the sight. It hadn't been that long ago that she had felt she had no reason to live. She had wanted to desperately escape to her castle and live out her days alone, death being her only hope of release from the pain she felt. It took one man and his son entering her life, offering her a sliver of hope to make her see she had a second chance at happiness.

The four of them sat there for a while after the fireworks had ended. Roland fast asleep in her arms, Robin and Henry joking around with one another.

"We totally have to have a movie night," Henry exclaimed, "There are so many movies about Robin Hood...isn't there mom?" he said.

"There are….movies," he stumbled slightly at the word, still not fully understanding the concept, "about me?"

"Tons," Henry told him.

Robin smiled at this news, his face looking a little conceited, "Well that makes sense….look at me," he exclaimed.

Regina groaned, "Don't get too cocky," she mumbled. "You're a literal fox in one."

Henry laughed, "We totally have to watch Robin Hood Men in Tights."

Regina let out a peal of laughter, "Yes….definitely," she agreed.

"Suddenly I don't feel as if this was a good idea," Robin looked between mother and son cautiously.

Regina watched fondly as Henry continued to tease Robin. She snuggled Roland closer to her, breathing in his scent. This was something she knew she would treasure always. Her second chance had truly began and she was going to savor every moment of it.
