Hey guys. Welcome to the Harpies for season 5. I'm Sam, you're Captain! (Sorry for the delay in posting this). I played the first two seasons as the Puddlemere's Beater 1. I'm currently in PST time zone. I sleep weird hours so chances of seeing me around are pretty good.

Welcome Jasmine! Someone with my time zone. Well, until time change. Then I go to MST.

Oh, that's neat. I love the QL and all, but the timezone really gets to me! I didn't wake up at 3am (when tryouts opened) to sign up . XD

It sounds neat. But It's really terrible. Because I spend half of the year in PST and the other MST, so It's crazy trying to keep in touch with my family back home. It's ridiculous that Arizona doesn't participate in daylight savings.

Yeah, timezones are tricky with QL. The only one it really matters for is the Seeker, honestly.

Hey guys, just something to think about. I think it will be beneficial for us to have each other (or someone else, if you already have your own beta) look over your fic before posting them. I know I will be having Amber and Bex look over my own work. Now, this isn't mandatory but I highly suggest it so that we can all get as high of scores as possible for our team. I will always be available to look over your fics if you do decide to have them beta'd.

So, anyone else doing this for the first time? Those who have done QL before, how many seasons?

I've been stalking the forum since Ash made it, and I've been roped into judging here and there, but this is my first year as a player

This is my third season. I played seasons 3 and 4 as Chaser 1 for the Magpies, so this is quite the switch for me to become a Seeker. :)

I know most of you, but for those I don't, I'm Jasmin and it's really nice to meet you!

I played partially on Season 3 as a Chaser for Pride of Portree, and all of Season 4 as a Chaser once more for Appleby Arrows. Now here! And can I just say that I admire mostly of all your writing abilities?? :D

Jasmin, you're a pretty lovely writer too. You've been in a few of my challengee and competitions, so, naturally, I've stalked your writing in the past.

Lizzy, I just want to make sure that you are aware that new rounds will be ed at 6am for you.

I do, thanks! That's why I was able to take on the position. I'm gone Sunday mornings from 8-1 at church, but the new time is perfect for me. :D

I just like to make sure, y'know? Not that I don't have faith in you. I feel It's better to repeat something you may already know than assume that you know and you don't.

Of course, better safe than sorry. :)

So while talking to some of y'all, It's come to my attention that it my also beneficial for us to have a chat outside of our changing room to talk prompts, story ideas, and betas. There are two options here. Liza said that chatzy (dot) com is a free internet web chat that we can use. I looked into it and there is also an app that works, if you want that. That would require an email so I can send out invites.

The second option is whatsapp. It's a free texting app that includes international. Downside is that all 7 of us would have your phone number. I feel like some of you may not want to give out your number and that's completely understandable. So I'm leaning towards the online chat, but I felt like I should mention whatsapp. I already use it to talk to my friends from fanfic as it is.

Just let me know what y'all think so I can get it set up and ready to go for the first round.
