A little bit about me: I have been writing and posting on this site for over seventeen years. I started reading in 2002 and posting in '03, when they had the blue lightbulb logo and there were only like 10,000 Harry Potter stories. All that to say... I'm old af. My original profile (and the one I used up until about a year ago) was under the pennname Shekiah Rosay. I had been lovingly maintaining it for all of that time, but in 2017, I got locked out of the email associated with it AND the backup email, so I had to create a new account where I could actually log in. I was a little bummed at first because it felt like the end of an era, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. There were a few stories on there that don't reflect my best work (just because they, like me, are old af) and others that had gotten lost to decade-long hiatuses, so it's kind of liberating to start fresh and not feel like I have a pile of unfinished work sitting around or people are judging me based on stuff I wrote more than half a lifetime ago.

I'm currently a resident of the US, though I have lived in France. I love both countries, and home is wherever I happen to be when somebody asks. My hobbies include playing Legend of Zelda, reading, dyeing my hair pink, and collecting MORE hobbies. Over the course of quarantine, I have added ukulele and making earrings.

My major fandoms are as follows:

Yu-Gi-Oh, Naruto, Twilight, Phantom of the Opera, and Les Miserables. I also lurk a lot in the Inkheart and Shingeki no Kyojin (Attack on Titan) fandoms.

My only #rideordie OTP is silentshipping (Yu-Gi-Oh, SetoxSerenity). I silentship LOUDLY. It's the pairing that got me into the fanficiton biz, and I love it so much. It was also my very first ship of my very first internet fandom, so there's a lot of nostalgia there. That said, there are other Yu-Gi-Oh pairings I tolerate to the point of liking a little, such arrogantshipping (SetoxMai) and blueshipping (SetoxKisara). HOWEVER, ardentshipping (TristanxSerenity) and azureshipping (SetoxTea) make me irrationally angry. I love how extra we are with our pairing names in this fandom.

In the world of Naruto, I'm a diehard NaruSasu fan. Anything else is heresy (so yes, by extension, Boruto is heresy; fite me)! I also have a soft spot for kakasaku.

In my other fandoms, I'll give pretty much anything a chance, pairing-wise.

I'm an incorrigible Kaiba fangirl and have been for an absurd nineteen years. My other fave anime boys are Levi Ackerman and Erin Yeager. Especially together. Sign me up for the Survey Corps, amirite?

I read in English, French, and Spanish. I only write in English and French.

Favorite things include coffee, craft beer, trips to the farmer's market, church on Sunday morning, and getting a good deal (on anything, really).
