Author has written 4 stories for Mortal Instruments. When I was younger, I read a lot, but then I enrolled in a school with an advanced education. There, I had so much homework to do that I didn't have much free time, and when I did, I spent it doing other things, like watching TV or going outside. Then, I left that school because it was too much pressure, and rediscovered the world of books, and boy am I glad that I did. These are some poems that describe how I see books: I Opened A Book by Julia Donaldson I opened a book and in I strode. Now nobody can find me. I've left my chair, my house, my road, My town and my world behind me. I'm wearing the cloak, I've slipped on the ring, I've swallowed the magic potion. I've fought with a dragon, dined with a king And dived in a bottomless ocean. I opened a book and made some friends. I've shared their tears and laughter And followed their road with its bumps and bends To the happily ever after. I've finished my book and out I came. The cloak can no longer hide me. My chair and my house are just the same, But I have the book inside me.
I could never have dreamt there were such goings-on in the world between the covers of books, such sandstorms and ice blasts of words, such staggering peace, such enormous laughter, such and so many blinding bright lights, splashing all over the pages in a million bits and pieces all of which were words, words, words, and each of which were alive forever in its own delight and glory and oddity and light.
Good books are friendly things to own. If you are busy they will wait. They will not call you on the phone Or wake you when the hour is late. They stand together row by row, Upon the low shelf or the high. But if you're lonesome this you know: You have a friend or two nearby. The fellowship of books is real. They're never noisy when you're still. They won't disturb you at your meal. They'll comfort you when you are ill. The lonesome hours they'll always share. When slighted they will not complain. And though for them you've ceased to care Your constant friends they'll still remain. Good books your faults will never see Or tell about them round the town. If you would have their company You merely have to take them down. They'll help you pass the time away, They'll counsel give if that you need. He has true friends for night and day Who has a few good books to read. Hey Guys! If you have commented on, followed, favorited, or even just read any of my stories, thank you so much! It means a lot to me. I wanted to let you know, though, that I don't stick to a certain schedule for updates. This is because some days, I am just not in the mood to write, and if I tried, it would just be a bunch of crap that sucks. I also tend to run into quite a few writer's blocks, which helps no one. Another thing, I constantly keep coming up with new story ideas that I want to write, so I work on those instead of updating my other stories. I am not saying that I am never going to continue updating currently running stories, I'm just saying that there is a different time period between each update. I do, however, apologize for that. It annoys me probably as much as it does you. Feel free to comment on any and all of my stories. Helpful criticism is more than welcome, as are suggestions. I would appreciate it. I promise to read all of your comments and respond to any questions you may have. Also, if you need a beta, feel free to ask me! Anyways, I hope you like what I write. Thank you Angels! |
