Once upon a time I was an English major who specialized in classic literature. To my dismay, I found out that not many paying jobs required a wordy, well read individual. You can't eat words so I ended up learning a newer simpler means of expression: "Would you like fries with that?"

I'm now a forty-something housewife currently living on a five acre farm in the Florida scrub. I'm married to a systems administrator; our girlfriend and my boyfriend also live with us. We are a polyamorous family sharing love, life, child rearing, and spoiling of pets. I used to spend most of my time gardening, playing with our menagerie of pets, or keeping the house tidy but growing disability has relegated me to the sidelines (Yippee, more time to write!). I use a motorized wheelchair to get around when I absolutely must go out. It fits neatly on the carrier of the grey GMC which looks suspiciously just like the one Walker of Walker, Texas Ranger drives.

Fan fiction isn't new to me. My first attempts involved Star Blazers and throughout my high school career I wrote stories for my favorite television shows such as A-Team, Riptide, Scarecrow & Mrs. King, Knight Rider, and Airwolf. The works included some fairly improbable crossovers linked by characters belonging to me.

Today I write primarily for the western (modern and classic) genre and for shows involving criminal justice or police procedural material. These deal with subjects and places I was familiar with in childhood or have to confront on a daily basis. My boyfriend works as a profiler for a federal agency so there is absolutely no escape from it. I have to write my own happy endings and writing about the west is my way of maintaining a sort of closeness with my roots. I write in episode style and most of the stories revolve around what didn't happen, what should have happened, what I would have liked to happen, or what the script didn't say but should have. Sometimes, if I didn't like what happened in an episode, I will rewrite it with a different ending or from someone else's perspective. I write for my own entertainment and amusement. If others enjoy the stories, that's an added bonus.

My favorite fandom genre is probably my most controversial: I adore TE Lawrence, Lawrence of Arabia, and A Dangerous Man. I have just about every biography written about the man in print and some which aren't; my dearest treasures are a 1935 Doran edition which was one of the original ten released and a 1924 first print first edition of Lowell Thomas' With Lawrence in Arabia. My shelves are filled with books about ancient Mesopotamia and the cultures which resided in the Middle East, an interest I had prior to learning about Lawrence's fascination. I also maintain a large collection of books about Middle Eastern culture, religion, and politics. I like to write these types of stories with as much authenticity as possible. Again, the stories center around what could have happened, what should have happened but didn't, or some particularly short scene which struck my fancy but which, for some reason, Lawrence or the filmmakers did not expand upon.

I like reviews and I do answer them but please realize that because of my illness, it may take me time to respond to them. I also return the favor; some of my favorite stories here have been found through looking at the works of those who commented on reviews.
