![]() Author has written 2 stories for Lord of the Rings. “I like nonsense, it wakes up the brain cells. Fantasy is a necessary ingredient in living, it's a way of looking at life through the wrong end of a telescope. Which is what I do, and that enables you to laugh at life's realities.” -Dr. Seuss I had been lurking in this website for a long time, before I officially joined it in 2006. The world of fanfiction is enchanting. I love seeing my favorite characters explored and pushed to their limits, obscure points of their story coming to light in so many versions and possibilities. When I felt I was ready to share my own, I posted my first story. The welcome I received was unexpected, even though I'd started writing Lim Aear when I was eighteen, in a language that is not my native and with writing skills barely above that of a personal journal. I don't know whether I have improved in any way, but the reviews I received prompted me to post Sleeping Beauty. It is truly a wondrous thing to see people from different sides of the world, different cultures and different realities, joining you in a journey that exists only in your mind and little black shapes on the screen. I love these little black shapes. I love playing with them. I love watching them sing and dance, in a never-ending number of patterns and truths. I love words. This is the reason why I became a linguist. Writing will always be my passion, however. Fanfiction has given me the courage to stop hiding behind the safety of popular characters and to start experimenting with a fictional piece of my own. Thank you for staying with me these past years. Thank you for the support you have shown to my stories and my original characters. I am deeply honored and humbled for the love you have so unconditionally shown to an unknown Greek girl, who -quite selfishly- just wanted an outlet for a part of her soul and the sake of her sanity. Completed Stories: Lim Aear: Elaine doesn't believe in eternity. Can he make her believe or will he lose his life? Set in modern times. LegolasOC. Sleeping Beauty: What if Sleeping Beauty was not a woman? What if they were not a man either, but an elf? Follow Alice in her journey to find out the truth behind the myth and the fairy-tale. Set in modern times. LegolasOC. |
