Post-movie. After Loki, they all sleep, only because he doesn't sleep at all. Or, five nights the team slept well, and the one night they returned the favor to the Hawk that guarded them all. No pairings or slash.

Movieverse - Tony finds a hole in Hawkeye's armor, while the latter's defenses are down and decides to pick until he uncovers the wound. The problem is he wasn't prepared for the gore.

It's the early days of their partnership while he's still Barton and she's still Romanov, but the charge is undeniable. Set a few years before the events of the film, no spoilers.
