Hello everyone!

I haven't been on the site as anything but a lurker for quite some time, been caught up with graduating and work. I am hoping to make my triumphant return to the site with some actual stories!

You heard that right.

The Odd Dreamer is gonna be posting stories.

I am also working on a fanart (and have a few more planned) for the AMAZING fic: Amphibious Love. This story renewed my waning interest in this site and I owe it to the story to get the first art done.

Axel, Roxas and Xion (that's right, I like Xion)

RokuAku, my OTP(and yes, in that order)

SoraKairi (you read that right)

RikuNamine (a bit far fetched, but I love it all the same)

PenceOlette (another vague one, but they fit)

MarluxiaLarxene (these two are just so diabolical)

I'll elaborate on these further down.

On a more serious note...

I am trying my damnedest to not pull away from this website completely. I will always love the RokuAku pairing, and I still think about it every day, but it's getting increasingly difficult.

Everything is changing.

This fandom was something I enjoyed during college, I am now over two years out of college.

The computer I used to read all these on is going to be retired soon.

Even the browser I used to search the site has been discontinued.

I feel like I'm fighting the arrival of a new era, and nothing I can do seems to be working.

The sixth year anniversary of my fandom is fast approaching and my brain just can't seem to care. For a bit of perspective, Kingdom Hearts, and by extension, RokuAku, has been a singular obsession of mine since 2007, so you can see why I'm fighting this.

Which is why I've decided that if I can't get the first chapter of my first fic up by AkuRoku Day, then I'll just not try write any. I'll still look for new fics on occasion, I might even comment on a few, but it's just not worth the time any more.

I've had these story ideas for six years. If I don't get them out soon, then they might as well be snippets of what might have been.

This is my last push to regain the enthusiasm I once had for this fandom.

Back to the happy!

A few things about my most favorite:

The RokuAku pairing is like a rare, delicious fruit that I will gobble up any chance I get. (Wow, that sounded kinky!)

After only a few months in the AkuRoku fandom, my preferences switched to RokuAku. I prefer it when Roxas is the dominant one. It can get really frustrating when, even with this pairing's popularity, the vast majority of the stories follow the same seme/uke dynamic. Just because Roxas is younger, shorter, is blond and of a lower rank, doesn't mean he can't take the lead and rock Axel's world. What's worse is the fact that the fandom sees this as the default and it's a rare writer that will even hint at these two switching it up in the bedroom, let alone write a scene where anything other than Roxas on the bottom happens. I actually enjoy most stories I read, as long as the plot is good. It's just my preferences when it comes to the M-rated stuff that can complicate things.

To put it bluntly, I'm fine with most stories as long as once in the bedroom, Axel is the one taking it, or at the very least, leave it ambiguous so my imagination can fill in the blacks. I got sick of the other way early on, and it actually kills my interest in a story. Sometimes I'll be able to get through the story, but just knowing that authors won't even consider the other option saddens me.

For those of you that actually prefer this configuration, rejoice as I will ONLY write M-rated scenes with Roxas giving it and Axel taking it.

I don't go searching for these pairings because any story I read has to have Roxas and Axel as a couple, but I love them all the same. And it is an extra treat to find them in the Roxas/Axel stories I search for.

A little used pairing I adore is SoraKairi.

That's right.

A RokuAku fan likes the SoraKairi pairing. And I can guarantee that this little fact will cost me readers.

The AkuRoku/RokuAku fandom has only itself to blame for me shifting from simply liking this pairing, to an adoring fan of this pairing. It is bred from my absolute refusal to be like those writers who bash the female characters. And Kairi gets a LOT of undeserved hate. I also don't take much enjoyment from stories that are filled with only yaoi or homosexual couples. Come on, people! Gender and sexuality are just words. Mix it up a little!
