![]() Author has written 2 stories for Legend of Dragoon, and Dungeons and Dragons. Codename "abbisonny," I am an avid gamer and lover of fantasy. I've always wanted to write, but I've never really had the nerve to do it until recently. Favorite games include: I also love many fantasy books and movies, and some non-fantasy books and movies, and everything in between. I feel that I should give the most credit to two amazing authors: J.R.R. Tolkien and Christopher Paolini. Tolkien has inspired me more than any other author to simply be great. He's the one who drew me into fantasy, he set the foundation for so much of the fantasy we know and love today, and he is nigh unparalleled in his character development. Paolini is the author that most directly inspired my writing style. More and more, I see moments where I accidentally emulate his idiosyncrasies into my works. May I one day be as amazing an author as he is. I've only done two stories so far: 1. The Light of Bahamut (Dungeons & Dragons) - story written from the perspective of my current D&D character, Surina Rathadar, filled with pain, suffering, and redemption (like almost every D&D character backstory). Quite honestly though, I have to say that I really love that story, and the character, and I think it's definitely worth the read. But I'm also biased. She's my favorite character to play so far. Also, I feel that it's worth mentioning that the world in which she lives was developed by my brother, our group's DM. 2. The Legend of Dragoon: How It Really Happened - novelization of the game's events, but dramatized for better character development, filling of some minor plot holes, and hopefully one day having a better title once I think of it. This is a current work, and I'm trying to stay on schedule for a chapter (sometimes two) a week. But, sometimes life happens, so don't fault me if I run behind. One day, if I finish story #2, I'll go on to fill in the minor parts of the story that I didn't expand on, but that's going to be far in the future. Then maybe one day I'll jump on the bandwagon and take a shot at the Dragon Campaign. I am also the same abbisonny who wrote the #1 recommended guide for The Legend of Dragoon on GameFAQs, which I try to update as errors are found or new information unfolds. If I'm honest, this is probably the crowning achievement of my entire gaming existence, and even though it's just one game, I'm incredibly proud of what I've accomplished. I'd be honored if you'd go give it a look. If you're interested, go follow me on Instagram (@abbisonny) for regular updates on my gaming experiences and my fan fiction story progress. |
