Despite the fact that my mother has been a Tolkien fan since the 1970s, I didn't get around to reading his books until just before the movies came out. I was instantly captivated by the rich and complex characters of the Steward's family, and most especially by Faramir. Although I started out writing in the movieverse, I've since gravitated to the bookverse for fanfiction purposes.

I work two jobs, as a university administration worker and a freelance editor. Somehow I manage to squeeze in time for my other hobbies, including radio, roleplaying games, and, of course, fanfiction.
