Author has written 5 stories for Yu-Gi-Oh GX, Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's, and Fate/stay night. Before I knew it, I've already been here for 10 years. Isn't it scary how time flies? Moreover, I have not published anything here since 2012. Now that is a scary realisation. Life trickled on in the absence of writing, as it always does. I've grown up, moved to a new country, widened my interests. I look back at the writings I did here before, and I smile, for I see a picture of myself in my youth, forever captured in those words that time cannot erase. But the old pull never dies, and stories do not go away. And I hate to leave things unfinished. I am writing again. I wonder who will read? Jun 2018 - A Ruckus of Leaves chapter 25 is released! Yes, the story is still going. I'm simply stunned by the fact that people are still reading it, and I actually feel a bit bad that the time between updates are so long, that there are in fact a few holes in the story due to me forgetting some details stated in previous chapters... Therefore I'll actually be going back to the earlier chapters and editing them, so the entire thing flows better as a whole entity. I should be able to finish editing the first volume by the end of June, and hopefully getting a new chapter within this month too! Jun 2019 - A Ruckus of Leaves chapter 26 release. Wow, it's been another year since I updated! It's hard to admit it, but I've really struggled to rekindle my passion for the Yu-Gi-Oh! franchise in general. I've been inside it for so longer that for the past few years, I really sought out new stuff. As I grew older, the values and stories that Yu-Gi-Oh! had presented also started to become less relevant to my life. Once I finish A Ruckus of Leaves (it WILL be finished in 2019), I'm not quite sure what I will be doing with this account. Recently I've been experiencing with new fanfics and new fandoms over at AO3, and I have also been writing fanfics in Chinese for other fandoms on the Chinese side of the Internet. I haven't decided what I will do with this account - leave it alone for a few years? Post simulatenously at AO3 and at ? Translate some of my Chinese language stuff over? All of those will be significant challenges, so for the moment, I think I will sleep on them. Also I'm reading some older chapters of A Ruckus of Leaves, and it's just... really embarrassing how poor the quality was in places. Over the next few weeks, I'll be taking some time to clean up the typos and plot errors of the older chapters, to make the whole thing a lot more cohesive. Obviously, I was forgetting older plot in the past 10 years... Jul 2020 - Over the past year, I have stealthily read over and edited the entirety of A Ruckus of Leaves, fixing grammar, spelling, style inconsistencies, and errors with details. It was a lot of editing, but it was definitely worth it. At this stage, I have finished writing the story, and have released chapter 30 as of 27th July 2020. The other 2 chapters are being edited repeatedly to delivery the kind of ending that I had envisioned since 2009. not to mention I need to check all the details to ensure consistency across this big work. I should be on track to finish the story this year (yes, for real this time). |
