![]() Author has written 6 stories for Song of the Lioness, Harry Potter, Labyrinth, and Confessions of Georgia Nicolson. "Listen to the mustn't's, child. Listen to the don't's. Listen to the shouldn't's, the impossibles, the won't's. Listen to the never happens, then listen close to me, Anything can happen, child, anything can be..." ~ Shel Silverstein So...I'm Kerridwyn, or Spoons if you prefer, as (1) this is actually my camp name, and (2) I do in fact, enjoy the use of rounded untensils... I'm 18 and I live in Texas, which is either very, very good, or very, very bad, depending on how you look at it... If you haven't noticed already, pretty much all my stories have horses in them. this because A. I work at a horse barn. 2. I love horses. and C. Because my four-legged-babies (Budda and Scooter...check out my myspace for pics) are always doing weird/funny/amazing things which I am naturally compelled to put into my stories...; ) What can I say, horses make life WAAAAYYYY more interesting! Melaine Rawn is my favorite author of all time. Infact I reguard her work so highly, that I haven't worked up the guts yet to try to emulate her...someday maybe, but at this point all I do is frustrate myself when I try. due to my deep seated fear of actually finishing anything you're not likely to see an ending to any of thme any time soon. I am a failure at short stories - I was apparently born without the editing gene ( "if I put it in there in the first place it's because I thought it belonged there; why would I take it out now?!") so if you see any serious lemons, or errors please, please, PLEASE message me and let me know. I'm a Labyrinth geek, big time, in fact I loved it from thefirst time I saw it at the tender age of four, but was, unfortuneatly too young to appriciate most of it at the time. I am currently working on a Labyrinth fic, which make's me quite happy...So R&R if you please. As for what I'll read, I'm a bit picky...I like reading stories where the authors stay as true to the characters from the shows as possible. I think fanfiction should be an extension of the universe that we fell in love with on screen, and the extremely AU-to the point of distorting characters beyond recognition-bothers me in a most unpleasant way. I do not suffer the immature, the everyday Mary Sue (ALL oc are inherently Mary Sue, but there are oc's and there are oc's) or the extravagantly out of canon/AU. I do not suffer the poorly written, mistake-riddled, or the no-plot-wonders. I like wit, satire, angst and tension - wickedly accurate characterizations - a mystery that twists and surprises or a one-shot that leaves me thinking. Have I mentioned that I'm a bit picky. I will admit to a weakness for well written fluff every now and again, but face it people, who among us isn't?
