I am/was a closet fanfiction lover (have been since around freshman year in high school). Looking back on some of my favorite series, Harry Potter included, I realized that my favorite characters hardly ever end up together. This was always extremely distressing to me. Thus, I delved into the words and worlds of fanfiction. I enjoy reading the stories on this site, glimpsing the avid imaginations of many of the writers, and therefore adding and building on my own. I've been reading for quite some time now but never plucked up the courage to actually write one, but recently I've felt the urge to try my hand at writing one on my own, consequently, giving me complete control over the poor poor characters.

Hope my inexperience in writing fics doesn't scare anybody off; if it's any consolation, English is, and always has been, my favorite subject!

One more thing, I don't like flames, but I don't mind them either, so long as they actually have merit and/or constructive criticism. In fact, (at the risk of sounding odd) I am looking forward to all the inevitable critiquing. Whatever improves my skills as an author right?

(I'm just wondering... why are there so many more George/Hermione fics than there are Fred/Hermione fics?)

April 29, 2008 - I deserve a major slap on the wrist for letting so much time pass by without an update. In my defense! my whole life's pretty much been turned upsidedown... but I guess I have to admit that sheer laziness has played a significant role in my lack of updates as well =\ I really don't know where exactly I am going with this story though --I wrote the first few chapters simply on a whim. So if you guys have any ideas or preferences, be sure to let me know!
