![]() Author has written 18 stories for Harry Potter. Well, what can I say about me? I'm a kindergarten teacher from Pennsylvania, USA, and I love my job, but there are days I'd rather stay home and write/read HP fanfic. (I have found myself giving my students coloring sheets just so I can work out a scene that's brewing in my head--don't tell the principal!) Personality-wise? A friend of mine from high school informed me the other day that I was the Sirius Black of the group. I was stunned--until I realized: SHE WAS RIGHT. I am impulsive, I speak without thinking, I sometimes don't stop to consider the consequences of what I say or do, and I'm always ready with a joke or comment or the occasional prank. I would have probably picked Peter as the Secret Keeper too, just because I second-guess myself constantly. I, fortunately, had nicer parents than Sirius did... I hate to say how old I am, because I'm sure I'm old enough to know better, but I will say that I was on the Harry Potter bandwagon with the very first book, and that was published when I was in my early 20s. I will also say that when it comes to Remus Lupin, I'm hopeless. I can't say what it is about that werewolf that gets me, but... Because of the HP movies, I have become hooked on David Thewlis--and those amazing, beautiful fingers of his. Whew! If you haven't seen "Divorcing Jack" or "Seven Years in Tibet" or "Besieged"--rent them! (I HATE the ending of "Besieged", however--I want my movies to have nice, clean-cut endings. This one is so ambiguous; it KILLS me.) I like Remus/Tonks--I like the idea of multi-colored werewolf cubs. I also approve of it because my husband is quite a bit older than me, and I can sympathize with their relationship. HOWEVER... let it be known, I love Remus/Sirius too. There's something about the two of them that gets me hot (and the aforementioned husband benefits from that obsession...) I hate an always patient/understanding/shy Remus. I believe he kept himself very tightly controlled--but he was a Marauder, for the love of Mike! He had to have had a sense of humor, and I believe he was probably the most devious of the Marauders (James and Sirius would NEVER have been subtle--Remus, however, that's another story!) I am extremely picky--in the food I eat, the people I hang out with, and the stories I read. I worry that I am a lousy mom to my 12-year-old son and wonder (frequently!) if God was on vacation when the boy was conceived. I agonize over every word I write, so I value every review I get. My favorite color is green, I usually am reading two books at any given time (placed at different places in the house so I can pick up a book at any given moment), and I think fanfic has been the best thing that's ever happened to me! How's that for a profile? And here I thought I had nothing to say... | |||||||
