Author has written 6 stories for Neverwinter Nights, and Dragon Age. April 3, 2012 I have started a new DA2 story, M/M eventual romance between Hawke and Prince Vael. It will take place after the events of the game. It was inspired by a playthrough I finished recently involving M/Hawke and Anders in a Rivalmance siding with the templar and the words spoken between them before the final assault on the Gallows. The chapters will be considerably longer than my other stories because of the greater need for detail. Hints from Bioware indicate that DA3 is going to be about the war between templars and mages, and I wanted to write my version first. JUNE 15 2011: HURRAY, HURRAY, HURRAY BRUINS WIN STANLEY CUP!!!!!! 39 YEARS SINCE LAST WIN!!! TIM THOMAS BEST GOAL TENDER: STANLEY CUP, CONN SMYTH TROPHY, VEZNA TROPHY!!!! Just a note to my readers, I have just bought a new house and have been in the process of moving and furnishing it, so little time or energy left to write. My stories will most likely not be updated until October, when I should be settled in enough to continue. Thank you for your patience. Well, I'm not really sure what to write here, but I'll give it a shot. About me: I am 40+ years old and have been with the same wonderful man for 20 years now. I like computer RPGs, reading books, and watching some programs on T.V. My favorite movies are too numerous to list but generally fall into the SCI-FI or Action catagory. I especially like Star Wars Episodes 4,5, & 6 and Star Trek the Next Generation (mostly because of Data the android). I also like most of the movies from Pixar studios. I have always been a fan of Disney. As for books, my absolute all time favorite is The Lord of the Rings. I consider Tolkien's work to be the definitive guide on elves, dwarves, and hobbits and I compare all other tales to it. Tolkien created an entire world and also entire languages for the characters, so much so that I can't help but be influenced by it when I read other works. In general, I like to read SCI-FI, Romance, and Horror. My other favorite authors are Dean Koontz, Janelle Taylor, Beatrice Small, Stephen King, Johanna Lindsay, and Marc Anderson (he writes about Star Wars and Star Trek). The only programs I regularly watch are Numbers, Top Chef, Project Runway, CSI, and Law & Order: Criminal Intent. Okay, I'll admit it, I'm a geek, have always been a geek, and will always be a geek. I always excelled at Math and Science in school, but I stunk with languages. Couldn't learn to speak a foreign language to save my soul. I was always good with grammer and spelling, but creative writing was difficult for me. So writing fanfic doesn't come easily to me but I find I am enjoying it and and was surprised to see so many others liking to read my stories. A Paladin's Tale. I originally wrote and posted it at the Yahoo site, but I went back to look it over and decided I could make it better. So that's what I did. I originally started writing because of the frustration I felt with the dialogue for Casavir. I swear the writers are all teenage boys who are going through puberty because the way the 'romance' is written is lousy. I don't know about some people, but for me romance is not saying at the last possible moment 'I love you' now let's go jump into bed. Romance to me is having dinner, and maybe dancing, or simply talking with your companion. Basically getting to know each other better before sleeping together. They made Casavir so stiff and stilted it was painful. So I created Natheran for him and made him a little more human, a little less stiff, and a little more approachable. Also, I didn't want to just recreate the OC. Instead I chose to delve a little more into the possibilities of what happened behind the scenes, so to speak. So the tale is quite long and involved. About Knight's Quest: Well I wasn't too happy with the way MoTB dealt with the companions, taking them all away (including the one you've romanced) and giving you all new ones. So I decided to write my own story. It will take place all over Faerun, involving other lands (not Rasheman) and has Nevalle as the KC's lover. Each character will have their own sub plots, as well as key parts in the main plot: Nevalle searching for his lost love, the KC of Crossroad Keep Ashara. Plenty of angst and heartache, a journey through darkness before coming into the light. Out Of The Woods The main character, Nimbrethil, was designed to specifically to appeal to Bishop and to be able to deal with Bishop. She is still a child, in elven terms, when this begins, but she is going to grow up the hard way very quickly. She lives by her own code of right and wrong. She is tough as nails, hard, stubborn, dangerous, and keeps everyone at arms length, until Bishop comes along. The story will be slightly altered due to how she influences Bishop. Also, I have tried to show Bishop's "softer side". It is an experiment to see if I can actually change Bishop (just a little) and make it believable to readers. While Nim is not evil, she isn't exactly the nicest girl around. Not only that, she fights tooth and nail to avoid becoming the "hero" of Neverwinter. The Monk and The Shadow I wanted to do something completely different and so chose to write about a gay PC. I have chosen not to use one of the regular NPCs as the love interest because that would be rather boring. Gareth faces not only the challenges of being the shard-bearer, but also the challenges of being gay in a world that frowns upon such things. He will face prejudice and hatred, and all the other stuff that comes at him as well. Many liberties will be taken with the story line. If the idea of m/m relationships or gays in general upsets, disgusts, bothers, or otherwise is not to your taste, then don't read. There will be very few instances of slash, only enough to enhance and compliment the story, so you can skip them if you want to. |
