I am a postgrad student from the UK, trying to hone my creative skills by writing whenever I can. A voracious reader, I love to watch movies, although not usually if I have read the book beforehand.

A few key pointers about my style:

1). I hate Americanisms. Nothing against anyone, just that being British I prefer double l’s, ou’s and s’s instead of z’s. You have permission to laugh if you ever see me use one. I think I have only slipped once!

2). I like to think that I know my grammar and spelling. I for one am put off reading a fic if I can't get past the first paragraph because of bad grammar. However, I am currently on the lookout for a compatible beta reader so I apologise profusely for any mistakes that slip through the net.

3). Reading-wise, I prefer angsty fics rather than excessive happiness. I often think those authors sometimes need a reality check. Adventures, mysteries, romance, anything with a plot will do for me. Just nothing containing slash, a Plot!What!Plot! or excessive smut for the sakes of excessive smut.

4).Writing-wise, I take my life experiences and put them into my work to try to make the words come from my heart. I'd love to write a novel someday when my studies don't take up so much of my life, so I guess this is just practice. I've been around for quite a while in the HP fandom, originally writing under another name, but I hope I have somewhat evolved from those first awful attempts.

5). Fandom-wise, I tend to stick to Harry Potter and Harry/Ginny (or anything that agrees with OBHWF and canon).

6) Constructive criticisms and comments welcome! I can only improve if I know about my faults and that responsibility lies squarely on the shoulders of you guys. :)
