Author has written 23 stories for Naruto, One Piece, Transformers/Beast Wars, Flash, Codename: Kids Next Door, Wrestling, Batman, Winx Club, Bleach, Arrow, and Justice League. Well, this the first time I've updated my profile in years. Now, I'm not going to depart any real personal information for obvious reasons, but I will speak a little about myself. I got into fan fiction over ten years ago - I don't remember exactly what pulled me in, but soon enough I was hooked, found this site, and made an account. Initially, my focus was mainly on Naruto (hence, all my stories pre-2017), but eventually that expanded. Now I read fan fiction from a countless number of fandoms, though if you're that curious, those of you using the mobile app can probably count how many by looking at all the categories under my follows list. As far as writing goes, my earlier attempts were...amateurish. I was very young at the time, and my tastes matured as I got older. Those attempts are still on this account, as a constant reminder of how far I've come as a writer, and to drive me to do better. I write fan fiction for a myriad of different reasons: it satisfies my boredom, it is an effective creative outlet for my impulses, and quite frankly, it allows me to write what I want to read. Thus, I prefer to write the obscure, not just in pairings and characters, but also in plot and conventions. My two top stories, To Hell and Back and A Child's Game, are perfect examples of that. As far as scheduling goes, I am, for lack of better word, erratic. I tend to obsess over something for a month or two before gradually losing interest and inspiration and then moving on. Inevitably, however, I end back with that fandom eventually - it's just how I am. Combine that with the trials and tribulations of real life, and how hectic that can get, and there may be a time where I don't update for months only to update five chapters to one story in the span of a week. With an addition of a beta, dear Kara Smoak, who has graciously taken time out of her own schedule to help edit my stories, my update schedule only gets more delayed. Regardless, I have resolved to never abandon a story that I have published post-2014. It may take years at a time, but I will finish each one to their intended conclusion. I also have an AO3 account under the same pen name. If you prefer that site to read my stories, just search for me there. Now, as for my current stories: To Hell and Back Fandom: Arrowverse Main Characters: Oliver Queen, Barry Allen, Kara Zor-El / Danvers, Kal-El / Clark Kent, Slade Wilson Major Supporting Characters: Laurel Lance, Iris West, Nyssa al Ghul, Tommy Merlyn, Eddie Thawne, Samantha Arias, Cisco Ramon, Caitlin Snow, Mari Jiwe McCabe, J'onn J'onzz Full Summary: Oliver Queen was the sixteen-year-old scion of the wealthy Queen family before a boat trip gone awry landed him on the island hell of Lian Yu. Three years prior, Barry Allen, all eleven years of age, woke up to a whirlwind of gold and scarlet and watched as a man in a yellow suit ruined his life. Three years after, he washes up on the shores of purgatory. Kara Zor-El, age twelve, had neither luxury. She was shoved into a space ship, baby cousin in hand, and tossed into the ebony abyss as her planet exploded around her, landing in a world so similar and yet so very different from her own. (Or: The AU where Oliver, Barry, and Kara survive Lian Yu together for years, raising a baby Kal-El, and are eventually rescued – by the League of Assassins) Comments: I regard this as my first real major story, and affectionately call it "my baby". It was sprung from a mountain of plot bunnies that was building in my head, unleashed thanks to the utter infuriating nature of the ending to the Arrowverse's 2017 crossover, Crisis on Earth-X. It is this story that is my claim to fame here in the fan fiction world, and my primary focus for years to come. I already have the general events for the first five arcs planned out - the hard part is actually planning out each chapter in itself, especially since I haven't put a limit to how many there should be, since I can't cut anything too big out, lest I risk destroying the flow of the plot. Links: I've created a TV Tropes page for this story. If you wish to look at it (and hopefully edit and add to it), simply search To Hell and Back (Arrowverse) in the search bar along with TV Tropes and it should come up. This story has a blog on tumblr, called thabarrowverse. Follow this blog for updates, announcements, possible sneak peeks and future contests, and a rant or two, either about the story or about the Arrowverse itself. A Child's Game Fandom: Codename: Kids Next Door Main Characters: Sector V (Nigel Uno / Numbuh 1, Hoagie P. Gilligan Jr. / Numbuh 2, Kuki Sanban / Numbuh 3, Wallabee Beatles / Numbuh 4, Abigail Lincoln / Numbuh 5), Rachel T. McKenzie / Numbuh 362, Chad Dickson / Numbuh 274 Major Supporting Characters: Numbuh 100, Cree Lincoln / Numbuh 11, Maurice / Numbuh 9, Tommy Gilligan / Numbuh T / "The Tommy", Numbuh 10 Full Summary: When Nigel Uno died, he was eighty-years old, surrounded by his loving wife and family. When Nigel Uno woke up, it was to a time long past - and a world he had long since left behind. Comments: This cartoon was my favorite show growing up, and I've never been able to quite let it go. After Cartoon Network failed to green light the sequel series, I ended up binge-watching the entire show several times since the video was first posted. Of course, that lead to reading the fan fiction, and I found myself unsatisfied with the selection offered. The perils of a small fandom. So, I decided to write the story I wanted to see. This story explores the one writing convention that writers of this fandom tend to ignore: the alternate universe. In this case, I've elected to go with time travel - a peggy sue fic, for you tropers. The changes will start from the get-go, and eventually build into a completely unrecognizable universe that I hope you will enjoy. one day at a time Fandom: Batman/DCU Main Characters: Jason Todd, Bruce Wayne, Dick Grayson, Tim Drake, Damian Wayne, Cassandra Cain, Alfred Pennyworth, Stephanie Brown Major Supporting Characters: Barbara Gordon, Jon Kent, Richard Dragon, Clark Kent, Diana Prince Full Summary: Jason Todd is Batman. Jason Todd was never supposed to be Batman. Jason Todd never wanted to be Batman. (Or, in a depressing-but-not-entirely-terrible future, Jason Todd is the third “official” Batman after the deaths of Bruce and his brothers. Getting into his old age and diagnosed with a terminal disease, he passes on the Cowl to his chosen successor, Terry McGinnis, and spends his last years in peace. And then wakes up on the day Talia threw him into the Lazarus Pit. Death called it a gift. Jason can only hope to make the most of it.) Comments: Another peggy sue fic, this time involving the Bat-Family and starring Jason Todd. Originally beginning as a simple fluff and angst story, it began to spiral into something epic, a la To Hell and Back. I've decided to make this story the first in a series, with the second and last part being planned and written after this story is completed. Links: This story also has a TV Tropes page like To Hell and Back. the superhero game Fandom: Batman/DCU Main Characters: Jason Todd, Conner Kent, Donna Troy, Other Characters to be added Major Supporting Characters: The rest of the DCU Full Summary: After dying of cancer, involuntarily traveling back to 2010, and coming back from the dead for the nth time, Jason Todd is fully reunited with a past version of his family and ready and willing to move on with his life. However, when an unexpected development throws the entire superhero world on its head, he must put those plans on hold. Directly affected by this seemingly miraculous event, Jason is forced to confront the one question that has plagued his mind ever since he arrived to the past: Why was he sent back in time? (Or, Jason plays the Superhero Game, where everything you love is always at stake and the only way to win is to say that you did and not break down from the lie.) (Or, the action-packed sequel to one day at a time) Comments: The sequel to one day at a time, this shifts the focus away from the Bat-Family and into the wider DCU. The goal for this story is to tie up most, if not all the lingering plot threads from the first story. More details will be added as the story goes on. Links: This story has its own personal TV Tropes page, whose link can be found on the page for one day at a time. |
