Um... I like to write?

Err... I've lived in California (the San Francisco Bay Area mostly) my whole life and am aware of what you now think about me.

Hmm... I'm old enough to know better than to write about someone else's crap.

Ahh... lesse... I really love smart geeky men (science is sexy because I'm so terrible at it) and women who aren't crazy. Think you're one of them? You're probably wrong.

Erm... I worked in a comic shop for two years and still miss it passionately... Men in tights and storylines that will never end featuring characters who will never die. Why grow up when I can indulge my inner child?

Aaaaand... I can force myself to read anything, no matter how jaw-breakingly horrible (for example, I got all the way through Dead Until Dark).

I am also very very pro LGBT(IQP etc), and the reason I write fanfiction is because many writers love to write LGB characters and call them straight. It's almost as ridiculous as assuming men who like to knit are gay (I'm looking at you, movie version of Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince) or that male homosexuality implies a submissive/dominant relationship. That's a different genre, ladies. It's called sadomasochism, and it's everywhere, even in heterosexual relationships. Shocker, right?

Anyway, what I love to do is try to figure out the most likely (or often the only) way two same-gendered people (usually guys) would hook up. And then describe it as graphically as I can, because aren't our bodies interesting? I love it when a hot science geeks explains his body to me.

Because it's way more fun when they draw pictures and wear kilts. (Oooo I dodged that Explicit Content bullet, didn't I?)
