Author has written 10 stories for Twilight, and Alex Rider.
Hello FanFiction reading world. It's awesome to be here. ;)
My name is Kate, and I'm 21, and am now living in Leeds.
I have incredibly bad music taste - honestly, ask anyone that knows me, they will tell you that I need a good lesson or two in decent music . I like it, obviously, so it's all good. Just know: if I ever reference music in my fics, you'll be incredibly appalled ;)
I discovered FanFiction at the beginning of 2009, and I have to admit, I have become rather out of practice over the past couple of years. When writing recently, I stare at a blank page for a few hours, and give up as a bad job. Hopefully this will change though.
I ship/(dis)like to read:
Twilight: All canon couples, I'm predominantly interested in AlicexJasper, however I like to read about LeahxAnyone (She really did deserve someone and Breaking Dawn pretty much screwed her over). I'm not a Renesmee fan, to be honest, as I absolutely hate Breaking Dawn with a passion (if you share this sentiment, search 'Hitler wasn't dazzled by Breaking Dawn' on YouTube - it's bloody brilliant ;)) but I don't mind reading her with Jake, so long as it's mediocre written. CarlislexEsme is also very sweet. I'm Team Edward, but would rather have Jasper. (Hence, not a Jacob fan) ;) If you want a good Twilight fic, search my favourites for a story called Seducing Ms Swan by DQRC. The author is incredibly talented and that fic actually made me cry it was that fantastically awesome and emotional. Read it. It rocks. ;)
Alex Rider: As you may be able to tell from my list of stories, I'm quite the Sabina fan and like to read her with Alex, but, again, I prefer it to be well thought through and portrayed. I make an effort to pair them myself, try me and see if you like? I don't write them as a couple, I only write them meeting and how I would imagine them to act togther. R&R?
Dr Who: Always Dr10xMartha - I feel she was done out the happy ending her character deserved.
Anita Blake: Vampire Hunter: Wow, what can I say about this series? AnitaxRichard is very interesting, but I'm a sucker for AnitaxJean-Claude just because I want him (Y) Amazing series - currently about to start book eight. (Y)
Dan Brown: He is very, very, very good. I loved Deception Point, as much as Rachel was pretty Mary-Sueish, and thought that the relationship between Michael and Rachel was very sweet. Angels and Demons just full on rocked - read it in two days mannn (Y) - Langdon is a legend. Digital Fortress... aahhh, twas ok, Susan was rather gay, though, she didn't need to be that perfect... The Lost Symbol actually kept me awake until five in the morning for a good few days. In the end, I just had to finish it. Dan Brown is a legend - if you read any books before you die, make sure you choose his.
Tokyo Mew Mew: Masaya, although he is very gay in his appearance, mannerisms and perfective-ness, was perfect for Ichigo, as she is also annoying. Ryou was quite awesome though, he deserved a girl from the whole story.
Harry Potter: Although I have not read any HP FanFics, I always thought Ron and Hermione should be together. Ginny was a spoilt brat, so no HarryxGinny fics for me...
Generation Dead: In my opinion, this is an author who is just growing into himself. Although Generation Dead was good, Kiss of Life was much, much better. The storyline was clearer, the characters more defined and I can start to see where he's taking the series. I love Adam, I think he's totally ace. Pheobe annoys me, but I think she's great for Adam, just because I'm a totally hopeless romantic. Most of the characters do something that really irritates me, but the intentions and ideas behind the book really help me look past the author's slightly immature outlook on the American High School lifestyle.
Heroes: Wow, to say I'm only on series three at the moment, this is a bloody good program and I really enjoy it's complexity. From what I've seen, I like Claire, but think West is pretty obnoxious and rude. I liked Zack, too bad he was gay... Erm, I like Nikki and DL as a couple and I was gutted when he got killed, Mika's rather annoying though lol. Noah's just plain awesome. I like Mohinder and think he needs a girl... and, of course, who can forget Hiro? He was awesome with Adam's girl when he was stuck in the past, but I'm sort of glad she's gone, cos her story was rubbish. Also, fail on Peter going with that Irish woman, she was awful and I'm so glad she's gone now! (:
My Fics:
Blind Suffering: It's nearly a year since Edward left, and Bella has a new boyfriend, a new relationship to keep her mind off things. Could things turn sour before she has the chance to become happy? Is there anything Edward can do to stop it? Bella's point of view. (In Progress)
For Better, or For Worse: An all human Twilight fic where Bella asks her best friend, Edward, to escort her to her ex's, Mike, wedding to Edward's half sister, Alice. Long story short, she tries to win Mike back, but inconspicuously falls for Edward. This fic is EdwardxBella, but also canon in that I intend to get the majority of the other couples together. Bella and Edward's point of view. (In Progress)
Her Visit: My first Alex Rider fic, set in Skeleton Key when Alex and Sabina share their first kiss after he confesses his MI6 involvement to her. How she feels and what she thinks of him from her point of view. One-shot. (Complete)
Iain:This fic assumes that the end of Snakehead was Sabina's way of coming to telling Alex how she felt. This is special in that it is the first fic I've written in third person (Y). The fic is set at some point into the future when Alex and Sabina are married with a child. This shows how the couple would feel if they'd followed their hearts at such a young age. (Complete)
Los Angeles: Second Alex Rider attempt. Set 5 years post Eagle strike, assuming Sabina did not return in Snakehead. A suprise meeting as Sabina walks home from work and bumps into someone she thought she'd never see again. Sabina's point of view and a one-shot. (Complete)
Mommy's Old Friend: Another Alex/Sabina one-shot. This is set 17 years prior to Eagle Strike when Sabina takes her two children to the swimming baths and gets a suprise response to an arguement she undertakes with her daughter, Alex. Sabina's point of view (Complete)
Moving, Slowly, On: My first ever FanFic, alternative New Moon (Jake-less). Inspired by Thinking of You by Katy Perry. Bella's point of view. I've not updated this fic for a very long time. I've not decided to ditch it quite yet, and it's currently on hiatus. (In Progress)
Osborn: A sort of sequel to Scottsdale State, a simple one shot, set years into the future. Sabina and Cooper continue their married lives, with a young son and full time jobs. Sabina's had a bad day, but her family always perk her up. (Complete)
Scottsdale State: Seemingly, my most popular story going on at the moment. Another Sabina in the future fic, this time; longer, fluffier and chocker full of scandal ;) 8 years on, Sabina's living and working in Arizona when someone she'd erased from her memory turns up in her café. (Complete)
The Pennsylvania Café: My favourite of the stories I've written. The scene described in Eclipse by Jasper on how he met Alice, told from is point of view. This story became a three shot by demand and then goes on to illustrate their first conversation. I might continue this when I have more time, but as far as I'm concerned right now, it's complete. (Complete)
I love to read reviews, almost as much as I like to send them. Let this be a lesson to you, Reader - Reviews are awesome and, if you don't send them frequently, who are you to demand them from other people? I reply to every review I get (sometimes not right away, but eventually) so feel free to let me know what you think to anything I've written :)
Thank you muchly for getting this far, you're truly sad and I like you for it ;) Hopefully you will read my work? Goodbye! xx
