THE GENESIS AWARDS

The Genesis Awards is a series of awards for fanfiction authors in the Final Fantasy VII fandom. The awards are for pieces of fiction that "show a certain standard of grammar and formatting, relevance to canon and characterisation." Although primarily created for Final Fantasy VII fanfiction, as of the 2009-2010 season, they are also accepting nominations from within the Final Fantasy X fandom.
