Trust

Sometimes trust is not a given thing,

But people expect it anyway.

My friends expect me to trust them,

But I can't just give that away.

It's hard to trust,

When you've been crushed.

It's hard to tell others how you feel,

When you've been stabbed in the back.

It's hard to want to live,

When you've no one to live for.

It's hard to love,

When you believe that you'll never be loved.

So do yourself a favor,

Make them earn your trust.

Make them want your trust.

Make them envy your trust.

Only then can you begin to trust,

To love,

To live.
