Author has written 6 stories for Fallout, and Dragon Age. Hi, I'm Lord Amaranth (It means the never-fading flower), and I like to write stuff. Occasionally, I like to read stuff too, and then I like to coo and awe at how much I loved it even if it was horrible. Because, I'm generally a nice person unless I'm pissed; which is rare, lucky you. I will be writing for whatever fandom seems to strike my fancy at the time. And believe me, I like a lot of stuff. From Dragon Age to Underworld...it will end up here eventually, unless I die. But let's pray that doesn't happen...at least anytime soon. I lurves me some tunes! But for real, music and writing are my life, and to me, they're one in the same, and in my stories I will often include music as a major influence in the characters lives because it is a major influence in my life. I like a little of everything and in my author's notes, I will probably tell you what song I was listening to for inspiration. I tend to write with a sarcastic, dark bent I guess, but not so much that the story is unreadable or makes you want to kill yourself. I try to balance it. My stories are however, painfully realistic, and what I mean by that is I spare no detail, which I why most of my stories will be rated 'M'. If there's a scene where someone gets stabbed, I write it down in exquisite detail, same with sex, drugs, self harm. If it's controversial, It'll probably be in my stories and it will probably be in detail. I do like to add horror to my stories, however, my idea of horror could be far different then someone else's idea of horror. As such I live by a single quote from my absolutely, most favorite author in world, William Shakespeare, and that quote is, "Hold the mirror up to the face of nature". Unlike most other people who probably don't see how this one quote is in any way related to horror, I do see it, and allow me to explain it to you. 'Hold the mirror up to the face of nature' Basically what he is saying is that the most terrifying thing you can put someone through is making them look at their own reflection, The most harmful thing you can do to someone is to hold up the mirror and say 'this is what you look like...'. As such, this is how I treat horror. By holding the mirror up to the character's faces and making them look at who they really are. Unlike most other writers, I LOVE CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM! I love it so much because to me, there's no greater gift then someone telling me what I'm doing wrong, and how I can fix it. HOWEVER, I only love constructive criticism when it comes from people who actually know what the fuck they're talking about. If you think the word 'Grammar' is spelled 'Grammer' then please, keep your misspelled opinions to yourself. I do like reviews, they're why I joined this site, so I can get feedback on my writing. I do not cry and slave for them however, and I will not hold chapters hostage for reviews or any such bullshit as that. I also try to review every story I read, simply because thats the reason why I joined, so I can have constructive criticism. HOWEVER, If I did give you Constructive Criticism, please don't send me nasty PM's or revenge flame my stories. If you couldn't tell by now, I'm horribly sarcastic and I consider it my trademark, plus it can be humorous, and humor is slowly dying. You'll find I don't take many things seriously, to me, seriousness is for term-papers and funerals, neither of which concern me at the moment. I would add one of those hair, age, weight, life goals, survey things but let's be honest, no one read those besides Stalkers, and I really don't want to be stalked because chances are, that would royally fuck up my weekend, and I don't like my weekends fucked up. So yeah...well...ON WITH THE STORIES!! And no, just because my avatar says 'witch' does mean I am one. *hands out poisoned fruit* I LOVE THE FUCK OUT OF ALL OF YOU!!!!!!!!! The Story with The Breathing Process: Okay, so I've gotten a few messages about that story, and why I haven't updated it in a while, and the answer is: I lost my copy of New Vegas for the longest time, and while, I was eventually able to acquire a new one, the story had kind of lost it's luster to me. THIS IS NOT TO SAY I WILL NOT FINISH IT! Because I totally will, but for right now, I'm writing Dragon Age fiction. I do promise though, that Cass and Craig's story will be finished, I just don't know when. I just want to clarify, I own no fandoms that I write about. |
