Author has written 4 stories for Now and Then, Here and There, Spider-Man, and Star Wars.

Update: So, hello, everyone. It's been a while. I just wanted to let everyone know that I am planning on coming back to the site. I haven't posted in a long time and I have my reasons for doing so, most of them personal. Suffice to say that I'm ready to start writing here again. I will be working on Repercussions and The Chosen, with a preference for Repercussions.

Hello everyone, I'm Christian Ashley from North Carolina and I'm 22 years old. I'm better known as NKSCF on such places as Star Wars Fanon and Wikipedia. Back when I was about to start high school I made my first fan-fic which revolved around the adventures of Nathaniel Kenobi, nephew of Obi-Wan, after Order 66. This led to the creation of his grandson Nathaniel Kenobi Solo, or the King of the Mary Sues. After many failed attempts at trying to find a way to get rid of his Sue-ish-ness, I gave up and quit writing for a while. The name I use here is a direct reference to his disastrously long name. At one time it was Nathaniel Kenobi Solo Clan Fett, so NKSCF.

My first fan-fic is a Now and Then, Here and There fic called Life Is Worth Living, which stars an original character as he and Sara Ringwalt find themselves in Hellywood. I have just finished writing this, as well as Breaking the Deal, a Spider-Man story that will focus on him working to get back something that he lost during a moment of weakness, complete with cameos from all your favorite Marvel characters. Next up will be a trip to the Star Wars Universe, which takes place two years after the arrival of the Lost Tribe of Sith, and focuses on a character that hasn't been used in canon for years and the story will be called The Chosen. It is now twenty chapters in and there will be fourteen more, as well as an epilogue, but it has been placed on hold for the time being in favor of Repercussions, which will follow the continuity of my other Spider-Man fan-fic Breaking the Deal. Then it's a general DC Universe story called Running the Race that stars an OC called Mimic, as he tries to figure out who he was before the time he was saved by a group of fellow superheroes sent by Batman to bring Mimic to him for unknown reasons. After that I have a (so far) unnamed Avatar: The Last Airbender fic that will also revolve around an OC, sometime before the Gaang meets Toph (so far that's the only time in continuity I have for it, but I promise as it develops that it should be more clear) and then I'll keep it going from there until the finale. I also have an idea for a Bleach fic, with another OC that takes place from the moment Ichigo and Uryū engage in their little contest right up into the Battle of the Fake Karakura Town, but the chances of this seeing the light of day are about as possible as Kubo finishing the manga in an orderly rate.

When I'm not writing fan-fics, I'm actually writing for my dream job as an author. I've finished three novels that will be directly linked to each other and I am almost halfway done with the one that shall follow them.

I absolutely hate Mary Sues of any gender and prefer to skip over stories that make characters (OC or not) into them. I am very open to constructive criticism and I am willing to change anything that needs to be changed in the stories, because I am far from perfect.

Reading through another fic made me think of adding my favorite works of fiction here just to let anyone who stumbles here to know more about me. My favorite show of all time was the original Jonny Quest, closely followed by Now and Then, Here and There. After that it's one big jumbled mess on my favorites that are all across the spectrum of different media. I love Neon Genesis Evangelion, Heroes, The Real Adventures of Jonny Quest, Bleach, Fullmetal Alchemist, Spider-Man, Star Trek, Star Wars, Harry Potter, Avatar: The Last Airbender, Death Note, Space Ghost and all the assorted old Hanna-Barbara shows from the sixties my dad showed me when I was a kid, Monster, Phantom 2040 and the comic strip it's based on the original Phantom, Defenders of the Earth, most anything by Stephen King (especially The Stand and IT), anything by Brian Keene, and the list goes on and on. I have varied tastes, but there's almost nothing I won't at least give a chance on.

I will treat any story I review with the utmost sincerity and offer advice where I see fit. If you find something wrong or wish to engage in conversation on a particular target, just let me know and I will be happy to help out in anyway possible. However, if say, a fan-fic pulls something like the people who did the 1980s version of Jonny Quest, I will crush it will every fiber of my being. Not to say the show didn't have a good spot or two, it just doesn't encompass what it means to be affiliated with Jonny Quest.

I love reviews, because it shows me that a). you care enough about the story to let me know about it, b). you can show me any mistakes I may have made, which is likely, since none of us are perfect, and c). it can provide a way for me to get some more insight into different viewpoints from readers all over the world. New ideas, corrections, and information sharing are integral to growing as a writer, so they are greatly appreciated, so long as they're constructive. I especially would like to thank Yincira, who, while not always having enough time to do so, always gives me a review whenever possible, so thank you very much, Yincira. I would also like to thank all the users who reviewed Breaking the Deal and Repercussions for me as well. Your questions and criticisms are very much appreciated.

Also, I don't believe in getting rid of canon relationships in favor of my own characters, so don't expect that anytime soon. I've yet to see a situation in fanon where this actually becomes believable. When I come up with an OC, they will be paired with either a). another OC or b). a character who has no official pairing and connects with them in a believable manner, or hopefully as well as I can write it.

One of my biggest fears in writing is that I drop the anvil--especially spiritual anvils--way too hard. If there is anything I write that you view as too preachy, please let me know and tell me exactly what you think needs to be changed to avoid people losing the message I am trying to convey. Some anvils need to be dropped, but they need to be dropped hard enough to make people think, and not to make them totally disregard the idea. I think that I've gotten better, but I do slip up at times, so please knock me over the head with some common sense and set me on the straight and narrow if I get too preachy.

Something that I really don't like in fan-fiction is the inclusion of slash when so such thing exists in canon. Kirk/Spock is just as ludicrous as Mello/Matt/Near, and it ruins the chances of me finding a worthwhile Death Note or Star Trek or what have you fic that I can enjoy, since I have to wade through the idiocy such fics bring about. If there is a relationship between two men or women in canon that makes decent sense, then by all means waste your time writing something about that, but please don't ruin it by producing such crack pairings as Edward Elric/Roy Mustang or Light/L, or, God forbid, Harry/Voldemort. My personal feelings for homosexuality aside, it's ridiculously out-of-character and poor writing to do something like this. Just my mini-rant, so take it as you will.

As my real name seems to suggest, I am indeed a born again Christian. By association I am a Baptist, but what I believe encompasses more than that. I believe everyone is sinful, and that there is no other way to get to Heaven but Jesus and we have to allow him in, otherwise our life is worthless. However, please don't sort me in with the extremist idiots on both sides of the debates. I am not a gay-basher, I do not hate women who get abortions, I don't want to get rid of atheists or unbelievers in concentration camps, and I don't think everyone else is a hypocrite and I'm perfect, because, well, I'm a hypocrite too the last time I checked. It's part of being a fallible human being. We're never going to be perfect, because we had the chance and blew it. I love everyone, which is a really hard thing to do, but it is what I want to do. If you'd like to have a friendly debate or anything, I'm always looking forward to a challenge. Oh, and arguments, I love arguments, but let's keep it civil. ;)

Fan-fiction, by definition contradicts canon, no matter how hard you try to prevent it from happening. Elements you believe in will eventually find their way into the canon and mire it, but this is not a bad thing. I have seen spectacular fics devoted to changes in canon that work seamlessly and still keep the spirit of the series in mind. This is the entire purpose of fan-fiction: Putting your spin on what happened, yet keeping the values the source material had intact, because otherwise it falls flat 99 percent of the time. I admit seeing Shinji realize his self-worth in Neon Genesis Evangelion is how I would want the story to go along with, but that, unfortunately does not happen, so now it is up to the fan-fic writer to figure out a way that can contradict canon, yet still be faithful to the source material. Having Rei not die through an unexpected (realistic) plot twist would be a good way to keep her original personality intact, which would then make her want to help Shinji during the events of Third Impact, thereby stopping it and preventing the...well, whatever happened at the end of the series, ha-ha. But seriously, this can be done. Don't be afraid to do it, but have a). a valid reason for the change b). a realistic portrayal of the characters involved and c). an appreciation for what the source material was trying to get across. If you follow this criteria, a valuable story can be crafted, which is exactly what you want to create.
