I am a mechanical engineer who, curiously, did not like to write or take English classes as a child. Math and science were it, as I am a child of the Space Age.

I started to write fiction in the late 90’s after reading drivel sci-fi and thought I could do better. That lead to a Star Trek anthology contest (my story was not selected – darn!) in 2005. That was followed by more original fiction, mostly sci-fi. But along the way realized that the people were more interesting than the setting and the techno-babble.

While on a trip to Hawaii in 2009, I thought up a modern story about Thomas Magnum, wondering what the detective and his buddies might be doing in the present. That was my start on Fanfiction.net and have not looked back.

I have written to date FF stories about: Star Trek (TOS or pre-TOS), Magnum, p.i., Doc Martin (including a Doc Martin – Dr. Who crossover), Downton Abbey, Farscape, Murder in Suburbia and Battlestar Galactica.

And yes, I do now identify myself as a writer. I live in the USA in the state of Ohio, and am a family man and father.
