Hey there profile viewer! I'm Hglitz, a fairly new writer at the fanfiction community. I'm a university student, currently entering my senior year. Though, I'm looking to graduate after an extra semester. I'm an education major (secondary ed!), and am way into learning foreign languages. My goal is to eventually teach German after all of my schooling is completed. I still have a lot to learn, though... always something new to learn every day. I am also heavily involved in music activities, and am a member of the marching band. This season marks my 7th year marching!

Outside of school stuff, I love to go running. I'm also an avid fan of ice hockey and figure skating. I enjoy some computer games... mostly anything that is like an RPG or adventure game. I'm also fond of detective games and mystery stories. Outside of all that, I play a lot of Harvest Moon and Pokemon video games. Unfortunately, I don't really have the time to support my video game habits during the semester.

In terms of fanfiction...

I generally read pokemon fanfiction, and tend to enjoy reading the Gary x Misty pairing. Most of my writing will probably be pokemon-related for the time being. It's what I'm into reading right now, and therefore, what I'm into writing!

I may try my hand at something else in the future, though... I have some ideas.

UPDATE September 23, 2010 - Okay. So, it's almost been a month since I last told you guys life was kicking my butt. I am still trying to get my life organized. I have 18 credit hours worth of class, plus marching band (which I'm getting 0 credit for, and doing 6 - 10 hours a week depending on the weekend schedule), and now working 10 hours a week on top of that. I'm pretty much a bonehead when it comes to making myself busy.

I've had to restart chapter 2 because I really didn't like what I did with the chapter I started. That's another reason the update is behind.

Mediocre Chocolate - My first fanfiction. A oneshot friendship fic about what it'd be like if Misty and Gary ran into each other. It's relatively short, at only approximately 3000 words.

Find Me by the Flowers - Ash, Misty, and Brock are taking a break from travel in Pallet, when a crisis strikes the pokemon world. Meanwhile, Gary Oak is looking for the research to propel his career forward and get him out of Pallet. What's going on? Can Gary find a solution with the help of the trio? This is going to be a longer fanfiction. Another GAML/GAMR/Egoship/whatever it is you like to call it. (No shipping has appeared yet, as we're still in character and plot development).
