UPDATE (April 11, 2019): Well, the poll is now closed and the results are in. The very clear winner is Ninja of Uzushiogakure. I thank all 184 people who voted. I'm glad that every story got at least one vote. Everything got a little love. Sorry to the 91 people whose choices lost. But, like I said before, there will be opportunities in the future. You can take comfort in that. Until then, everyone can look forward to the new and hopefully better version of NoU. It will be posted under the title, "Naruto Uzumaki, Ninja of the Village Hidden by the Whirling Tides". The reason why is because I'm switching to the English names for locations and that is one of the English names for Uzushiogakure. Well, I've got work to do now, which includes some research, and I don't mean Jiraiya's kind of research. I'm watching the Blood Prison movie again, to make sure I get the personalities of certain characters right. Hopefully, I will be posting the first chapter within the next couple of days, but we'll see what happens. I can't predict how my weekends will go, and they have a tendency to throw surprises at me unexpectedly. See you all when the first chapter is posted.

IMPORTANT UPDATE (April 3, 2019): Yesterday, on April 2nd, I received a review for Ninja of Uzushiogakure. This review was the most important piece of constructive criticism I have ever received. It pointed out a major flaw in the story, one that affects ALL my stories. You see, when I wrote my stories, I took a bad shortcut. I wrote my stories, taking advantage of the fact that a lot of my audience already know the world and its characters. This is something a writer should never do. Stories need to be written under the assumption that the reader is someone new to the world. In other words, I left out all the world and character building.

Major rewrites are required to correct this issue. However, I am also working on my own original work. The review in NoU is causing me to take a critical look at it. While there is more world and character building in it, since its an original work, I do have to ask myself a few questions. Can people see these characters the way I see them? Can they see these locations the same way I do? Am I conveying emotions clearly? A lot of time must be taken to work on this project. No offense to fan fiction, but let's be honest, an original work is more awesome. Between working on my original work, correcting the flaw pointed out in the review, and adjusting my stories to my writing style as it is today, from what it was four years ago, I don't have enough time to work on all my fan fiction stories at once. As such, I have reached an important decision. AS OF TODAY, ALL OF MY FANFICS ARE ON HIATUS, EXCEPT FOR ONE.

It's not a decision I'm making lightly, but I feel it's a necessary one. We're talking about massive rewrites to all my existing content so the new versions will look very different from the old ones. Therefore, I will be working only on ONE STORY AT A TIME. By my new rule, I CAN NOT move on to another fanfic until the first one is finished. I will not be replacing the chapters in the existing versions of the stories. Instead, I will be uploading completely new versions. The reason why is because I want a fresh set of reviews, so everyone, including people who followed and reviewed the old versions, can give me feedback as I head on down this path. After each story is completed, I will be deleting the old versions. People still follow and favorite the old, discontinued stories and I feel bad that they expect me to continue stories that I have clearly abandoned.

Now, let's get to the important question. Which story will I work on first? That's what the poll is for. I want the opinions of my readers over this. But be careful, you will only be able to select ONE CHOICE, so choose wisely. Also, once your vote's in, there's no changing it. Be very sure about your choice. If there's a tie, I will cast the tie breaking vote. Also, don't be dismayed if your option doesn't win. Every time I complete a story, I will put up a new poll to choose the next one. So if your favorite loses, you'll have the opportunity to vote for it again at the next poll.

Now, there are some stories that will not be included in the poll. The King of Rouran and The Origins of Revan are officially discontinued. Naruto Uzumaki, A Persona User can not be returned to at this time, due to other factors in play, but it is not dead yet. I have plans for it in the future. There will also be some completely new stories in the poll. These options are for those who believe my massive renewal should start with a brand new story.

If you see the word classified, the pairing has been chosen, but I'm keeping it a secret. This poll will be open for one week. Naruto Uzumaki, Ninja of the Village Hidden by the Whirling Tides - Naruto is framed for the attempted murder of the Raikage, and is sent to Hōzuki Castle, a prison near the Hidden Grass Village. However, this was part of a plan, one that would see Naruto returning to his true home, and to the family he didn't know he had.
