Hello all. My name is Chris and my favorite thing to do is curl up with a good book and read until my vision starts to blur (okay, not really, but you get the idea). As my username suggests, my favorite genre is horror, although I'm certainly open to other things as well. My favorite piece of literature ever is "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow" by Washington Irving, my favorite book is The Phantom of the Opera by Gaston Leroux, and my favorite movie is The Nightmare Before Christmas. I am an avid horseman, and I own an adorable miniature horse named Beau. I also used to have a paint gelding named Mojo, and before he died he was the center of my whole universe. I love to write (obviously) and I have dabbled in most genres. How to Train Your Dragon one-shots: A collection of short stories occurring in the How to Train Your Dragon universe. Stories will contain Hiccup-Toothless friendship, Hiccup-Astrid romance, Hiccup-Stoick father-son relationship, etc. There will be in-universe stories, AU stories, songs, fairy tales, and anything else that I can think of.

Dragon Tales: Once upon a time, there was a boy named Hiccup, a girl named Astrid, and a dragon named Toothless. And only with love and a little magic would they be able to find their happily ever after. A series of fairy tale retellings featuring the HTTYD characters. Tales include "Cinderella," "Thumbelina," "Rapunzel," "The Little Mermaid," "Snow White," "Beauty and the Beast," "Sleeping Beauty," and more.

Tales from the Sea: Merman prince Hiccup has had plenty of adventures in his life, and not all of them include evil Sea Witches. After all, life under the sea is an adventure in and of itself, to say nothing of marriage and parenthood. A collection of one-shots that occur in the Sea Trilogy AU in no particular order. Some tales based on stories/songs from Disney’s Little Mermaid franchise. (Formerly titled Hiccup's Undersea Adventures.)

Untold Stories From Berk: These are the tales about the other teenagers on Berk, never before seen or heard of...until now. A series of shameless comedic self-insertions with myself and two of my best friends. The Isle of Berk will never be the same. (These stories are purely comedic and are not to be taken seriously.)

Return to the Sea: Hiccup Haddock, chief of Berk, husband of the woman of his dreams, and father of a beautiful little girl, couldn’t be happier with his life on land. But there is trouble brewing beneath the waves, and the former merman prince will have to return to the sea if he wants any chance of preventing a war that will undoubtedly destroy everything he loves. Sequel to Out of the Sea.

The Phantom of Berk: When Hiccup shows a surprising talent for song and credits his mysterious “Spirit of Music,” Astrid finds herself in the middle of a seemingly unsolvable puzzle involving disembodied voices, unusual demands, and a murderous specter that haunts the island, an entity known only as the Phantom of Berk. Based on the novel The Phantom of the Opera by Gaston Leroux, NOT the musical.

Possible future projects:

Nightmare House: It’s called Rosewood or the old Bjornson place, but the townsfolk nickname the mansion Nightmare House for its long history of paranormal activity and death. And when his cousin suggests spending a night in the house, Henry Haddock and his friends unwittingly wake an evil beyond imagination, an evil that won’t rest until they are punished. Modern AU haunted house horror story.

Ten Little Vikings: Ten people stranded in an isolated island house stand accused of murder. Before the night is out, one of them lies dead. He won’t be the last. As an ominous nursery rhyme predicts a series of deaths, victims start to outnumber the suspects. Who among them is the killer? And will any of them survive to solve the mystery? Based on Agatha Christie’s And Then There Were None.

Star-Crossed: When Hiccup Haddock and Astrid Hofferson meet at a gathering, it is the start of a beautiful whirlwind romance. Or it would be if their fathers weren’t mortal enemies and their union forbidden. But Hiccup and Astrid refuse to accept defeat, and they’ll stop at nothing to overcome the obstacles in the way of their star-crossed love. Based on Romeo and Juliet.

The Servant and the Heir: A Fairy Tale: Hiccup Haddock is a hero and the heir of Berk. Astrid Hofferson is but an orphan and a lowly servant girl. Yet their forbidden friendship soon blossoms into a romance straight out of a fairy tale. But with magic spells, a mermaid, a witch, and a festival to contend with, they will have to fight much more than social boundaries if they want to find their happily ever after.

The King of the Wilderwest: Young Hiccup Haddock, heir of Berk, is believed to be the one prophesied to be King of all Vikings. But everything changes when his jealous uncle hatches a plan to put himself on the throne instead. Forced into exile, Hiccup will have to face the past and search inside himself in order to find his place in the great Circle of Life. Based on Disney’s The Lion King.

Bound to the Sea: The third and final installment of the Sea Trilogy; more to be revealed upon the completion of Return to the Sea.

And in this kingdom, only one fairy tale can end with happily ever after.
