As a giant Resident Evil nerd it is so incredibly tempting to write about the series. Albert Wesker happens to be my number one favorite character and has been since I can remember; something about making hard-headed, pompous men turn into mush in front of their love interest makes me swoon. Sigh.

That's what I'm currently working on: a horror, sci-fi, romance, action fanfiction between the main character of Maximum Ride the book series and the world of Albert Wesker. Merging the two worlds make total sense in my head, save for the number of years apart their universes take place. To keep things extra crispy, I moved the Maximum Ride universe a few decades back to give Wesker and Max a little more leniency: canonically, when Wesker died in 2009, Maximum would probably be around 14. Creepy, one, and two, canonically, Maximum was this age in the books. It just don't work out.

The two universes have the science fiction aspect in common. Genetic alteration, cloning, how the world ends. Sometimes I wonder if James Patterson was influenced by Resident Evil. They are a perfect pair in my eyes.

Editor’s Notes for Resident Ride Universe:

Installment One - I’m doing a complete rewrite. Some chapters will be edited and spliced in while the rest are basically being scrapped.

Installment Two - I like the bones of the story but there are elements missing. I’ll keep most chapters the same while adding things here and there.

Installment Three - If you’ve read this far, I’ll give you an insider’s look: I have very little of an idea of what this will hold but it’ll be quite different from the other two, deviating most from the RE canon universe, either way I decide to take it. I’ve got two main ideas, and hell, I might end up writing both.
