I hate writing these things, I can write about fictional characters but somehow saying more than two words about myself makes me sound like a blundering idiot.

Let's see, I am a stay at home mother of 4 who loves to read, and loves to write, although I haven't actually written in a long time. I am hoping to remedy that with the stories I post here.

My favourite thing about fan fiction is that we have ALL been there. We have all had those moments when a show (especially a finale either season or series) ends and you are left, jaw on the floor, at the events that have just unfolded, or screaming at the television about how THAT shouldn't have happened that way! Fan Fiction is our chance to change that, to take the characters we love so much, and write for them the way we wish the creators and writers of the show would write. It's a way of continuing that book series we wish had never ended. Or our way of changing the fact that we just cannot believe that the screen writer chose that particular direction to take a character that we loved until the last 10 minutes of a movie.

So we take these characters, and their backgrounds and we mould them into something more, something we wish they had been, or something we hope they could be. Then we put it out there, for all our peers to read, for everyone to see, and critique, and if we're lucky, to review. And when they do, we take those criticisms and make ourselves better, more polished, less likely to overlook the simple things that were staring us right in the face. Less likely to rewrite a history without even realizing it.

Fan fiction is something we share as a community, and I am just glad to be part of a community like this, where I can share, learn, and grow together with so many of you. That is something I just can't wait to do!
