Gold Train is a 3 part episode that I always felt lacked an ending. Much of the story centers around Doc. This is the events of Gold Train as seen through his eyes. Some parts and dialog are taken from the episode and some are as Doc sees them.

Some dialogue is directly quoted or paraphrased.

This 6th tale in the FLAME Series, has Frank Reardon arriving on the scene to both seek and offer assistance. Will Dodge City survive the deadly showdown that looms-or become little more than ash and memories?

The Long Branch Saloon, had a reputation for having the prettiest girls, the best whisky and the coldest beer. There was no problem attracting customers. As far as business went Miss Kitty Russell should be feeling very happy right now, but it wasn't business that was worrying her.

Early on Matt and Kitty are in love, but they are still figuring things out about themselves and their relationship. Oh, and there is quite a bit of murder and mayhem thrown in.

"She belongs to a different time." It wasn't the first time Kitty had heard the comment whispered in regard to her and it probably wouldn't be the last. It was true after all, she did belong to a different time...a time when she had been his. Kitty looks back during a milestone occasion in her life.

I know, I know, another story by me... Sigh This one is going to take me a little longer to post than the last and I might not be able to update daily. It's also different. Hope you'll stay with me on it though.

Thirty miles and still two hours out of Dodge, surrounded by nothing but open countryside and swirling snow, Matt Dillon pulled his hat down and his collar up and leaned into his mount's neck, hopeful that he would make it back to Dodge before the worst of the storm hit. This story was written in response to a challenge to write a story that could be filmed as a Gunsmoke episode.

A beautiful 19 year old woman arrives in Dodge with a plan for a new life.

Kitty waits for Matt to come home after his rescue from desperate prison escapee Lon Gorman & his gang. ATC for b&w Season 11 ep The Hostage. There were a lot of angsty, shippy scenes for Kitty in this episode-with Doc-but the show ended with a big chase and gunfight and no resolution for Kitty or M/K fans. Here's my attempt to help out a little bit.

After Chosen Profession, several people had asked for another story about Doctor Melissa Anders. This is it. She arrives in Dodge City to find the town in the middle of an outbreak of influenza. The events are heavily influenced by the epidemic proportions of the H3 N2 virus that caused everyone such misery in the 2014/ 2015 flu season.

Matt and Kitty must tell Laura the truth about her identity and their plans for marriage. A sequel to "Revelations."

Kitty's the only eye witness to a murder, but someone's determined to see she doesn't testify. The story takes place just after the fifth season episode "Kitty's Injury". Warning: This story contains a stagecoach ride. Just sayin'.

Matt spends a Christmas Eve unlike any before.

This story is for all of those who thought Miss Kitty should have kept the baby, Mary. It would have been a whole new concept for Gunsmoke.

We all think we know how Matt and Kitty's relationship was different from the way we saw it on TV, but what if we were wrong - at least for some of those years? What if there were reasons for that? What if those reasons changed? Sometimes saying "No" can be the beginning of saying "Yes".

Funny what you find yourself grateful for.

When the one that Matt cares for most is hurt he goes looking for payback.

Matt and Kitty have been together nearly 15 years - in the privacy of Kitty's room, and with advice from friends old and new, they explore the changes that might happen in their lives. The story accepts most of the series up through season 14, then makes some turns. Adult content.

The episode "The Hostage" is one that stands out for many G fans. As a child, I could not live with thinking my beloved heroine had been so badly abused. As an adult, I can go slightly AU, or who knows, maybe it did happen this way. **This is an edited repost of a story I published but removed. I have received many messages asking for it to be reposted so they could finish it.

After learning of Bonner's prison break, Matt takes out after him vowing to bring him in..but, then when Matt's Horse and things are found he is presumed dead...Kitty, choose's to leave Dodge...to protect a secret of her own.

The following is a combination MM/ATC for Season 2, Episode 21, "Bloody Hands" written by John Meston, directed by Andrew V. McLaglen. This fic assumes that Matt and Kitty are not yet a couple. In "Bloody Hands" the shooting of several members of an outlaw gang, although in self defense, triggers an emotional crisis in Matt. Kitty is there to help see him through it.

A little drama and adventure but most of this is devoted to Doc Adams whose skills are constantly in demand because he is the only Doctor within a hundred miles of Dodge City The very nature of his profession sets him apart from even his closest friends and when he thinks his skills are not up to the task in hand, he has to handle his own emotions before he can help others.

Kitty Russell was a remarkable woman. But did you ever wonder where she found the strength to face Will Mannon the next day?

The 3 part episode, Gold Train:The Bullet, has Matt being taken to Denver to have a specialist remove a bullet from his spine. En route Doc successfully operates and we are left believing Matt would recover. I always figured Matt got further care in Denver. This is my musing about Matt & Kitty's return home. Also another attempt on my part to say something in one chapter.
