Author has written 5 stories for Mario. I thought my gaming days were long gone until my kids got into Mario. I'm amazed at how far things have developed since I last played one of those games. Some random googling on the subject brought me to a rather good story on this site, and since writing fiction is a hobby of mine, I thought I'd give Mario fanfic a go. I like the culture of reviewing on this site. I do read and review stories here and I will do my best to review the stories of those who review mine. Update December 2019 New one-shot just uploaded Overview of fics: It's not easy being Goo This one shot expands on a cut scene that appears early on in the awesome Luigi's Mansion 3 game, and explores what it must feel like to take control of the goo... Fragments This fic is told in first person POV, in an experimental dual format with the chapters alternating between two canon characters. Set after the events of Super Paper Mario. Fragments is now complete. Therapy This one-shot started life as a character study of Luigi. It was originally written to help figure out how to present Mario's behaviour more realistically in a particularly difficult chapter of Mario and the Spirit from the Outer Realm. Once finished, though, it seemed complete enough to stand up as a fic in its own right. It's deep and depressing - you've been warned, but hey, it's less than 1000 words long. Mario and the Spirit from the Outer Realm My first ever fanfic. It is unfortunately based on a rather unoriginal theme, but it does get better as it goes on, thanks to some absolutely brilliant reviewers who kept challenging me to raise the bar on the quality of my character writing. To them, I am indebted. This is a family-friendly adventure on the surface and is very close to canon, but it tackles deeper character issues through its metafic-style subplot. Though there are two OCs, they mostly serve as viewpoint characters; Mario is the main protagonist. Now complete. |
