Okay, I said I'd draw something proper for my avatar and I still haven't done that, so for now I'm putting up a thumbnail from one of my pieces for Yullen Week. BUT I will definitely get around to doing that proper image. Eventually.

Things about me that no one really cares about (behold, my optimism):

I'm currently a student. Unfortunately, that does limit my free time quite a bit. I enjoy writing fiction for fun, but I tend to write one-shots and short stories because I've got terrible dedication when it comes to things like this.

I'm a history buff and a grammar nazi. :D I have a love/hate relationship with chemistry, but I'm totally dedicated to art. Even though our relationship tends to be a bit unstable.

Some of my favorite (real life) people are Zora Neale Hurston (that girl is epic, man), Lincoln (no one ever remembers how effing badass he was), and Oscar Wilde (his sense of humor is so weird but so horribly entertaining). Some of my favorite books are All Quiet on the Western Front (but it's SO FREAKING ANGSTY), Dragonflight (from the Pern series), and King of Attolia (which is also part of a series).

This is my second account, so I've actually been writing fanfics for a while, but my old stuff is crap. D: Therefore, I refuse to divulge my old name. My old stuff on this account is also sorta crappy, actually. I sorta want to delete all of it but I sorta can't bear to. Ah, the contradictions of life.

I like anime and manga, and I've read/watched a lot. I can't remember all of them, so I can't list them all, but whatever. xD My absolute favorites are Puella Magi Madoka Magica, Angel Beats!, and Code Geass.

Those are most amazing things I've watched in my life, ever. I can't bear to write fanfiction for them.

Gay marriage

1) Being gay is not natural. Real Americans always reject unnatural things like eyeglasses, polyester, liposuction and air conditioning.
2) Gay marriage will encourage people to be gay, in the same way that hanging around tall people will make you tall. ('Kay, admittedly, the logic for this one's a bit spotty.)
3) Legalizing gay marriage will open the door to all kinds of crazy behavior. People may even wish to marry their pets because a dog has legal standing and can sign a marriage contract.
4) Straight marriage has been around a long time and hasn't changed at all; women are still property, blacks still can't marry whites, and divorce is still illegal.
5) Straight marriage will be less meaningful if gay marriage were allowed; the sanctity of Brittany Spears' 55-hour just-for-fun marriage would be destroyed.
6) Straight marriages are valid because they produce children. Gay couples, infertile couples, and old people shouldn't be allowed to marry because our orphanages aren't full yet, and the world needs more children.
7) Obviously gay parents will raise gay children, since straight parents only raise straight children.
8) Gay marriage is not supported by religion. In a theocracy like ours, the values of one religion are imposed on the entire country. That's why we have only one religion in America.
9) Children can never succeed without a male and a female role model at home. That's why we as a society expressly forbid single parents from raising children.
10) Gay marriage will change the foundation of society; we could never adapt to new social norms. Just like we haven't adapted to cars, the service-sector economy, or longer life spans...
