![]() Author has written 21 stories for NCIS. Hi, and welcome to my complete TIVA world of NCIS. I work in DC, so I do get a little annoyed when they refer to "downtown" as two blocks away, or there are mountains in the backdrop of Northern VA. The Navy Yard is located in a not very savory part of SE DC, although it is going through a revival at the moment. You can walk to the National's Baseball stadium from the Navy Yard. Downtown is nowhere near that area and Georgetown is on the opposite side of downtown. There are mountains in VA and MD, but you have to drive about an hour to catch sight of them. Sigh. However, I do get to see the Navy Yard and NCIS DC Field Office every day on my commuter bus ride home. What you see out of "their" window is the actual Navy Yard and the view I get from my bus window. What they 'should" see is Anacostia Park and a small airfield and lots and lots of interstate. I am not a writer by profession nor a tough Mossad agent, so kind and gentle please with constructive criticism. I would be very happy to help anyone who would like their stories to be as "DC accurate" as possible. Thanks, cheers, and here's to TIVA! |
