Sort of branches off from The Empty Hearse, after Sherlock and John's initial 'not dead' confrontations. John discovers that Sherlock was still injured during their confrontations at the restaurant and cafe. Sherlock has at least slight PTSD due to all his work taking apart Moriarty's criminal web. One needs to comfort; the other, to be comforted.

Tube ride, sleepy dream-state Sherlock, fluffy kisses.

(post wedding) John and Mary are married, but we all know Sherlock's always cared so much for John, so when Mary is in a coma after a car crash, Sherlock continues to look out for John. John apparently finds this a bit odd for his friend's character.

five times mycroft didn't care and one time he did. or at least, five times he didn't act like he cared and one time he did.

Post-Reichenbach. Sherlock goes back to the flat to see how things are, not planning on seeing anyone, but John gets back earlier than expected. T for drugs.

John was a soldier, and he's seen many people die, but Sherlock's suicide hurt him in ways that none of the others ever did. Exactly what it says on the tin: he goes through the five stages of grief in dealing with the loss. T for drugs and language.

Post-Reichenbach. Sherlock returns to John after three years, thinking Jim Moriarty dead and his web taken care of. That may be, but is Moriarty really that easy to get rid of? T for some language and violence. Also (probably should've mentioned this sooner): major character death(s).
