![]() Author has written 12 stories for Angel. FEEDBACK IS LOVE Fic recs: Farscape -- If, like me, you crave some really good, novella-length stories featuring your favourite space cowboy, I highly recommend Kernil Crash's fiction, available at her excellent site 'Crash Debris'. In particular, 'Child of the Night' is a heart-wrenching tissue-box user that will have you going back again and again. It took me ages to read and completely took over my life for a while, something that instantly earns it brownie points. It has to be my favourite fanfiction story ever in the history of the world. Go read it. Especially if you like h/c. I also really like 'Cloths of Heaven' and its sequels. 'Rotation' by gigerisgod is a dark NC-17 piece with great Natira and Scorpius characterisation. Also, try visiting Shrift's domain for archives including the Leviathan Automated Archive for Farscape stories (try 'Return to Sender' by Annigmatic, it's a really good John, Scorpius piece) and the Buffy Fiction Archive for many Angel related fics. Angel: the Series -- Most of my stories are featured in the 'best of the best fanfiction' C2. Mind Over Matter also appears at , a good place to start if you want more featuring stories, as well as in Versaphile's list of recommended fic. The site has an extensive archive containing stories you may not be able to find elsewhere. Try 'Wesley's visions' for a really long and interesting story featuring many characters, including some Buffy chapters, and written as a collaborative work by various authors. It's incomplete and in a weird format, but it's worth it. Also try 'Unwanted Gifts' by WesleysGirl for a similar theme. Nestra and Shrift's Polyamorous Recommendationshas a list of really top-class Angel ficthat is worth looking through. The best of the best authors and stories are here, so don't miss it. The Brat Queen has a shedload of good fic on her site, with a whole lot of Angel/Wesley slash if you like that kind of thing. 'Scribe' by Dr. Lense is a wonderful post-S1 finale piece that I love. These 50 Angel/Wes sentence drabbles by fiareynne are also beautiful. 'Gestation' by Victoria P is a crawl-worthy evil!Cordelia ficlet that made me shiver. techsupport @ herebyPerri Smithis a brilliant Angel/Buffy crossover ficlet told entirely as a series of email messages. It's both humorous and plotty, set after the AtS S1finale. I read 'Like and Animal' by samsom the other day and loved it. It's an Angel/Cordy NC-17 (and I'm not usually big with the A/C love), but it's got that yummy Angel darkness of S2 and is wonderfully written. 'How She Dies' by inlovewithnight is an insightful piece about Fred's death that shines an accurate light on the inner workings of each character. Odi et Amo by Corinna is a believable S3 resolution for all of those unsatisfied with the way it actually went. A fantastically damaged Wesley and a likeable Connor. As for my favourite stories list, I highly recommend the authors Eloise, Roseveare and Nemo the Everbeing for very well written and original stories. See Eloise's livejournal for more of her stories, particularly her extra snippets of the min-Wes universe she's created in 'The Very Best Time of Year'. Also then check out elgrey's fics on her lj account, especially if you're looking for some more mini-Wes or novella length Wes h/c. AngelKids, Cupboardand LittleWesley in particular make your heart hurt, make it feel as though you're trying to breathe around someone squeezing something in your chest, and leave you squeeing for long enough and for loud enough that all the animals in the immediate area will start howling and running for the hills. She mostly has great, platonic-bonding, gen fic, as well as some well written slash. She also has quite the knack for writing an endearingly and almost painfully paternal Angel one moment, and an Angel your want to reach into the screen and throttle in the next. I read 'Lost and Found' and was in serious danger of not only wanting to kill the bastard, but of never wanting to read anything with him in it ever again. That's how convincingly he was written. Try bka0711's fics too (and on a separate site, The New Place-- an 'Epiphany' episode filler, and To Endure The Truth-- a missing scene following 'Origin'). Both of these authors are particularly good for those of you looking for 'Wes meets the Scoobies' reconciliation fics, as I know many people have requested, but Brenda's 'Second Thoughts' in particular features a scathingly whip-crack Cordelia and an over-protective Angel that will have you jigging on your seat and punching the air. Anyone who's ever wanted to bitch-slap Buffy and give Xander a good smack will love this, although such canon-anger is soon resolved and the characters can be forgiven. If highly sugary Wes fic is your thing, try here for plenty of h/c and the like (although it's quite old). Viciouswishes has an archive of her own fics and her fic recs at Sliver of Ice. My livejournal memories are always being updated with fic I find and rec, so take a look if you're not of the lj persuasion and site scares you (like it did me at first!). You'll probably recognise some of the more 'famous' authors I have naughtily friended on my profile page, so it's always worth looking for their memories and links. Also have a look at some of the communities I've joined as they archive much fic. In particular, darker_wesley, angel_wes, wes_recs and wesfic are good, and read the fun little mini-comics in fangganglite. Try the memories at crack_van for some more great recs. And don't leave without reading Booster1's 'I Really Don't Like Monday's', officially my favourite of the favourite Angel fics. It's light, funny and brilliant in an errily Joss-reminiscent way.
