Author has written 3 stories for Dragon Ball Z.

I'm just a guy who really enjoys DBZ. My favorite writers are George RR Martin, CS Lewis, JK Rowling, Terry Goodkind, JR Tolken, and Suzane Collins. I have a Degree in Music Education, and I am a High School band director. Yeah, that's right. I teach band, but I also teach elementary music--after experiencing a classroom full of hyper K-4 kids I fear nothing in this world--except Vegeta (because it's always good to have a healthy fear of Vegeta). Still, band is my passion and what I love. That, and writing, and Skyrim.

I often wish there was an option to provide the background music for my story(s), as I feel that music can really help envelop the reader into the action. I suggest you put on a good soundtrack, whether it be DBZ or otherwise (Lately i'm really enjoying Jeremy Soule's stuff, so check it out), and see if it helps you picture things as you read them. Also, for me, Dragonball Z just isn't DBZ without Bruce Faulconer's music. When Kai came out and I was watching episodes on my computer, I would have itunes open and have Faulconer's soundtrack playing louder than the other kenji stuff. Once they pulled his soundtrack because of the plagiarism issue, Kai became un-watchable with the old Kikuchi score.

I'm often asked whether I'm a bigger fan of DBZ or Star Wars, but the past few years with all the writing I've been doing for Bringer of Death, I'm going to have to stick to DBZ. I try to incorporate all things nerdy and awesome when I can, such as quotes and fitting references, but I hope they never detract from story or pull the reader out of immersion. Never underestimate the nerdiness. Obviously, Vegeta is one of my favorite characters of all time and writing him is a great chance to show his weaknesses, strength, and growth over time. It isn't that I dislike Goku or Gohan, in fact I love them both and want them to have their due, I just am partial to Vegeta's character transformation throughout Z. To that end, BoD is dedicated to seeing Vegeta rise and fall, experiencing some things he never got to in the canon story. Also, I aim to write Vegeta as true to himself as possible and also provide a story with lots of twists and turns like the original DBZ had.

In all areas, I strive to imitate the original DBZ to the highest level possible. Sometimes my stories take their time, but so did the original DBZ. I also occasionally incorporate some of my favorite things into the series as references, but Toriyama did the same thing here and there. Anyway, if you are reading my profile you've probably already read at least some of BoD. But if not, I truly hope you will give it a look through. I want it to be timeless, the kind of story that you look back and think...wow, that's exactly what I wish had happened in DBZ. And do me a favor and leave some reviews--they're a big encouragement and help keep me going. With each chapter you read, it's the least you can do, right? Thanks and God bless!
