First of all, a word about the name:

Back in the late '90s and early 2000s I wrote an AU spinoff series from the parody slash series called the Sith Academy. It began with a story called "Hell". Back then I had a different 'nym. I am still proud of that work, but I no longer count myself as a real Star Wars fan, so the new 'nym is both a distancing device and a trackback. Obscure, no?

Second, a word about me:

I was born in 1961. I work in a healthcare-related field. Both of these make me twitchy about my privacy. So I don't necessarily want my fic to be linkable to my real life. I'm a mother, a former martial arts student, a would-be community emergency responder, a pet owner, a former gardener, a voracious reader, an amateur science nerd, a singer and, oh yeah, a writer. I live in the Southeastern United States, which sometimes affects my speech and writing voice more than I intend it to.

Third, a word about the stories:

I write for my own satisfaction, but I post for feedback. If you enjoy something I've written, and particularly if you'd like me to write more, please review, even if it's only to say "you got this wrong" or "I liked that line" or "would Character X really do that?" Sending stories off into a black hole is a discouraging experience. Be kind to the author!

And finally, a word about taking the risk of writing something and putting it out there:
