CURRENT STORIES The New Era (Legend of Korra Fanfiction, SYOC, Rated T) Among Saviors and Rogues (Young Justice Fanfiction, SYOC, Rated T) The New Era The New Era takes place 30 years after the original events of the Legend of Korra, and between 17 to 18 years after Korra passed away. Huojin, the new Earthbending Avatar, has yet to learn all four of the elements, and many doubt if the stubborn, bull-headed Avatar can protect the world from harm. BOOKS: Book One (Current): Book Two: Book Three: Book Four: The New Era HEADCANONS & DELETED INFO Piao Li may sound like just another city of the Earth Kingdom, but Piao Li happens to be an important city to the Earth Kingdom's Navy, all thanks to the city being right next to the ocean. Piao Li was inspired by the prefecture-level city of Guilin in China, and the majority of the people in Piao Li are Earthbenders and Lavabenders. Korra and Asami's children, Tonraq, Hakoda, Katara, and Aya were all created by the Mother of Faces, but Asami was the one who carried two of the kids for 9 months. Korra was the one who gave birth to Hakoda and Katara, and she was definitely ecstatic when Hakoda was the second to Waterbend. Asami was not amused when Hakoda froze his older brother's bicycle tires. Huojin's name literally (and seriously) means Burning Stone when written in Traditional Chinese. When you think about it, the name does fit him, and when he turned 18, he was already able to Earthbend and Firebend. While most people I've talked to think Ikki would be in a relationship with Huan (which would definitely have somewhat of an age gap), Ikki actually met her husband, Kakuzo Shimakage, while she was attending Republic City University. By the time Huojin was born, Ikki and Kakuzo were already engaged, and they were finally married almost a year later. P.S: Kakuzo happens to be the Prime Minister of the Fire Nation as well. Easter Eggs. There will be so many Easter Eggs in the story, and you are going to have to try and find them. Who knows, maybe I'll put Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko in the story! I mean... animation was starting to become popular in the 1940's... President Amagawa happens to be the youngest President in the United Republic of Nations' history, and the first to be elected into office without a partner or wife. Amagawa is also a Firebender, and before he was president, he was actually a Republic City Police Lieutenant. There are quite a few new bending subtypes in The New Era. Earth: Metal, Lava, Sand, and Crystal. Fire: Lightning, Combustion, and Plasma. Air: Cloud, Sound, Tornadoes, and Hurricanes. Water: Blood, Plants, Ice, Vapor, and Steam. | |||||||
