Author has written 5 stories for Sailor Moon X-overs, Gundam Wing/Sailor Moon, Gundam Wing/AC, and Mass Effect. I am a female in my twenties who works in the theater industry. I'm really not all that fascinating, and life is very busy. My interests are all over the place and include anime, some games, science fiction, fantasy, romance, and really nice engines. Concerning "Waypoint": For those of you who finished reading "Waypoint" and are busy saying to themselves "WTF?!!": Sorry. The threads for Waypoint were there almost before I finished Mass Effect 2, but it was initially written almost in response to another, well known, Mass Effect fanfiction that greatly offended me; both as an author and as a religious person. The issue I ran into almost right away was the plot read almost like a space soap opera/sitcom; so bleah for that. My husband and I went over each chapter carefully to make sure it was story driven, that the drama was appropriately seasoned with action and that each character 'felt' right. Obviously this will not be everyone's type of story, and most sane people will do what I eventually did with the fanfic that made me want to scream- I went somewhere else without flaming. There are lots of great fanfics out there, and I am looking forward to reading some of them again (I've been on a non-mass effect fanfic diet since serious work on Waypoint began) and doing a few reviews myself. Plus, trying to write a story where you can't say the main character's first name has been surprisingly difficult, but worth it I think. Concerning "Clad in Gilded Shadow": A tentative time line/plot has been put together along with some of the extra material I plan on using, and mostly I'm waiting on ME3 (which has been a terrible kind of hell). I'm really excited to see what they do with ME3, and I'm excited to see if I can keep any of the wild ideas flying around in my head. This is the story my muse wants to work on, and I am looking forward to see what kind of reception it gets. Update: Husband is playing through first and I'm taking careful notes. Some stuff is needing changed for the story, but "Waypoint" actually seems to dovetail verrrry nicely so far. Hopefully I will get to play soon, and then the first draft will commence. Update 3/16/12: Ok, I just saw all the endings of Mass Effect 3. . . yeah, much with the nerd rage. I am going to have to convert a side story I was thinking about writing into a semi-bridge. Concerning "Amity" Watch for the first chapter to be up relatively soon. Concerning the other fanfiction: They are actually supposed to be my next project; I'm working on getting permission from the other people who's characters are involved and collaborating with them to clean up the original plot into something more coherent. Offhand, I'm looking at a four part cycle. Update: So yeah; that hasn't happened. My muse is basically only interested in helping the Mass Effect stories. |
