Author has written 4 stories for Captain America, Batman, and James Bond.

Greetings, earthinlings...

After making my first post about seven years ago, I've recently finished my two main stories. Yeah, it took me awhile, but now I'm picking up steam! My main goal is to become a published author. I love writing, and I'm a big fan of making money, so I figure why not combine the two? So I use fan fiction to sharpen my writhing skills, because writing about superheroes is fun. Hmm...maybe I can figure out how to get paid for doing that? While my main focus is on my original stories, I'll continue writing fan fiction. (It's fun! Did I mention that?) So give my stuff a read, and by all means, leave reviews. I love reviews.

A few general pointers on my stories:

1) My stories read like novels. I don't do fluff, I don't pull punches. There is drama in my work, and sometimes bad things happen. That's how it is in real life, and that's how I write. I don't give trigger warnings, because I think they are ridiculous. I certainly don't set out to offend anyone, but I tell stories with dramatic tension, so if you are easily "triggered", maybe my stuff isnt't for you. If you like exciting, action-packed stories, welcome aboard!

2) I start from source material. While I love comic book movies, I stick to the "real" characters from the original comic books. Sometimes, there is a little bleed-through, where traits or story points from the movies color the characters, but gerenally, it's the comic book Captain America (or Batman, or whoever) that I begin with.

3) I put my own spin on things. While I stay true to the core characteristics, I do tweak them a bit, to make things fresh and exciting. Wolverine should always be a snarling badass...but sometimes it's good to shake things up by saying: "Okay, but maybe he secretly loves ballroom dancing."

4) I don't do slash or other offbeat twists. I don't like changing key elements of established characters, so in my writing, Wonder Woman remains a woman, Captain America remains straight, and NorthStar remains gay. It's cool with me if you are into these kind of changes - I've read some terrific stories that do this - but it's not my thing. I'm not trying to prove how 'woke' I am, I'm just trying to tell honest, heartfelt stories.

I invite you to check out my fics. If I ever succeed in getting my original work published, I'll shout about it here, and encourage you to crack open your wallet and give it a read. Papa's gotta eat!

Peace out...JD

Barton by robbiepoo2341 reviews
Coulson took a chance on Clint Barton, and Clint would very much like to live up to that, but that doesn't mean he does things by the book. He screws up (sometimes on purpose) all the time, he blows up alien tech instead of bringing it back for R&D to study, and he tends to bring home stray Russian assasins. In his defense, he only did that last one once.
