About Me

Hello! I am a twenty-three year old female living in the United States. 5'2" but will most likely fight you over mashed potatoes. Guaranteed hungry and sleepy most of the time, if not daydreaming. Part-time Pokémon Master of eight regions. 24/7 fangirling and crying over fictional characters.

I do not read other fanfiction stories. If mine are, in any way, similar to yours, please bear in mind that I did not intend it.

Writing Tips

  1. Write all the time. No matter where you are. Write yourself out of creative blocks. Write even it's complete garbage. Just don't stop writing.
  2. Read widely and deeply. If you feel you don't have time for reading, make time for it.
  3. Write what you want to write. Not what others expect you to write. Don't let people's opinions shape your first draft. Critique is for later.
  4. Collect your inspirations. Recognize what about these things light a fire in you. Hold them close to you.
  5. Keep a journal. It doesn't have to be about you all the time. Just write a journal everyday; relish the feeling of pen on paper. It can set you free.
  6. You don't have to get it right. You just have to get it out.
  7. Take a walk. Enjoy nature, the city, or just your neighbourhood. Go out to clear your head or fill it up again.
  8. Think in harsh critiques, better yourself and your writing with them, but do not worry over them. Be positive no matter what.
  9. Perfection is impossible. Don't strive for it. Don't strive for greatness or fame either. Just write.
  10. Never give up.

Writing Tips (from Stephen King)

  1. ON WHAT IT TAKES: "If you want to be a writer, you must do two things above all others: read a lot and write a lot. There's no way around these two things that I'm aware of, no shortcut."
  2. ON GOING FORWARD: "The scariest moment is always just before you start."
  3. ON MOTIVATION: "You cannot hope to sweep someone else away by the force of your writing until it has been done to you."

  10. ON HARD WORK: "There is a muse, but he’s not going to come fluttering down into your writing room and scatter creative fairy-dust all over your typewriter or computer. He lives in the ground. He’s a basement kind of guy. You have to descend to his level, and once you get down there you have to furnish an apartment for him to live in.
