Author has written 16 stories for Blue Bloods.

My pen name, Laura Louisa Lewis, references three of the many writers that inspired my lifelong love of reading and writing: Laura Ingalls Wilder (the Little House books), Louisa May Alcott (Little Women), and C.S. Lewis (The Chronicle of Narnia). If you haven’t read these books, you really ought to! These authors have a way of creating a world, either out of the past or out of their imagination, and making it come alive.

This is my first foray in to Fanfiction.net, although I have written several fan fictions published on other websites in the past. In addition to Blue Bloods, other favorite TV shows include Star Trek (yes, including Enterprise), Stargate SG-1 and Atlantis, Numb3rs, Due South and “Webb TV”: Adam-12, Dragnet and Emergency. Not a lot of current shows make my favorites list, although I do like the NCIS (the original), Chicago Fire and Chicago Med, and Hawaii Five-0. I'm still deciding on the Magnum P.I. reboot; it's nothing like the original (because you can't replace Tom Selleck!) but it has some good parts.

I have a couple of other Blue Bloods stories in the works, but I tend to be a slow writer, since I will finish a story before posting. I make too many changes as I write to put a Chapter One out there before Chapter “The End” is done!

When I'm not writing, I work as an attorney for the U.S. Government in the southern United States.

MY STORIES:

Listed in order written. Mostly independent of each other, except for a few minor cross-references.

One Year – Harvard Law student Jamie Reagan and his brother, NYPD Detective Joe Reagan, communicate over the course of one very important year.

Keeping a Promise – Months before his death, Joe Reagan learned of his brother Jamie's decision to join the NYPD. Joe promised to stand behind his brother when Jamie told the family. Now Joe is dead, and Jamie has to face his family alone. Or does he? Part II of One Year.

The Big Brother – There was nothing Joe Reagan wanted more than to be a big brother. On an unhappy day for Jamie Reagan, his family tells him about the very first chapter in his friendship with his brother Joe.

Searching for Answers – February 1998: Questions about her son's death led a grieving mother to kidnap fifteen-year-old Jamie Reagan. The family rescued Jamie, the kidnapper was sentenced for her crimes, and life went on for the Reagans. Now it's 2012, she's out of prison, her questions are unresolved, and she's still searching for answers. Are any of the Reagans safe this time?

Boxes – Jamie decides it's finally time to clean out the boxes of his brother Joe's possession stored in the attic of the family home. What he finds in those boxes sets off a series of changes, both personal and professional.

A Bad Day for Hair – Danny glanced over his brother, taking in the new haircut. "So, what happened?" he asked. Jamie sighed. "It came over the radio as a simple business dispute," he began. Two explanations for why Jamie Reagan was sporting that buzz-cut haircut at the beginning of S7.

What's in a Name - "It's a good thing your parents didn't like to drink Smirnoff," Lena Janko told her future son-in-law. But wouldn't Smirni make a cute nickname? Lena's no-filter remark leads to a discussion between Jamie Reagan and Eddie Janko about names for their future children. Part II: In that future, Jamie and Eddie decide on names for their new babies.

The Wedding They Wanted - Jamie Reagan and Edit Janko's wedding had all the right pieces for the perfect NYPD wedding: a stunning location, the archbishop, flowers, a beautiful dress and fancy suits, and a guest list to impress anyone in the Department. What it didn't have was anything Jamie and Eddie wanted. But, with some help from a friend, they may still get the wedding they wanted.

There’s a Story Behind That Series

Stories inspired by sometimes random lines of dialogue from the show, often between the Reagan siblings, where you just know there’s a whole story behind that line.

Driving with Danny – In the episode "Drawing Dead," Jamie commented that Edie drives "like my brother when he was fourteen." Since Joe was reportedly a careful driver, Jamie must have been talking about Danny. But why would four-year-old Jamie know how his fourteen-year old brother drove? (Unofficially, #1 in the series.)

That One Halloween – In the Season 3 episode, Nightmares, Jamie jokes that he's still traumatized by going trick-or-treating with Erin one Halloween. What exactly did Erin do to her baby brother? And how did all four Reagan siblings end up at the hospital that Halloween? (#2 in the There's a Story Behind That series.)

5 BR 3 BA – Season 1, Episode 20, "All That Glitters": Frank told Danny and Erin that after Jamie was born, Mary and he tried to move them into one bedroom. The next day, they began looking for a larger house. This is the story of that house hunt. #3 in the There's a Story Behind That series.

Small Metal Objects – In the Season 2 episode, "Moonlighting", Jamie Reagan used his childhood skill for swallowing small objects to his advantage when leaving Johnny Tesla's boiler room operation. That skill became the main topic of family dinner conversation the following Sunday. These are the stories behind that conversation. #4 in the There's a Story Behind That series.

Driving with Erin – In the Season 3 episode, Warriors, while teaching Nicki to drive, Jamie hinted at some of Erin's teenage driving indiscretions: driving fifty in a twenty mile per hour zone, and backing her parent's car into an ex-boyfriend's car… on purpose (and then making her little brother lie about it). This is the story behind those incidents. #5 in the There's a Story Behind That series.

Hold the Olives – In Season 4, Episode 10, Eddie Janko disclosed that Jamie Reagan is allergic to olives. How did Eddie find out about her partner's allergy, and how did a much younger Jamie and his family first discover it? #6 in the There's a Story Behind That series.

Nothin’ for Christmas – One of the Regan children's most epic fights ended with Danny destroying Erin's favorite hat and Erin microwaving Danny's football. Here's the Story Behind That (#7 in the Series).

That Girl – "I know that girl. I was that girl, you know? Some nights, I still am that girl," Officer Eddie Janko told her partner, Jamie Reagan, in the midst of trying to help a teenaged runaway purse thief. "And a couple of cops did me a favor once, and, you know what, it made all the difference." The story behind Eddie's remarks in S4 Ep 12, Bogeyman. #8 in the There’s a Story Behind That series.
