Welcome to the FFnet account for the Castle Summer Hiatus Ficathon 2016!!!

What? Write 50,000 words of Castle FanFic to achieve the Ficathon. The MiniFicathon is 25,000 if aiming for 50k seems a little daunting.Also if you’re looking for a greater challenge, try for the MaxiFicathon and aim for 75k. As we think this is the final ficathon we are extending the parameters. You may dust off any WIP you have hanging around your hard drive or a previous one shot you want to expand or a previous abandoned multi-chapter but you MUST tell us what word count you already had. The goal for word count is based on new words written.

When? Pick up your pens on 17 May 2016! Ideally you'll publish once a week, but really, more is better! Ficathon closes 25 October 2016 with the publication of the next Nikki Heat book, High Heat.

Where? From your desks... On . Promoted on Twitter and Tumblr.

Who? We want YOU! The Fandom! Fic authors both new and experienced!

How? Write, write, write. One word after the other, whatever it takes. Once you publish a chapter, tag @CastleFicathon #CastleFicathon. We'll follow your story from the ficathon account, plus promote it! On tumblr, please use the tag “Castle Ficathon”.

Want cover art? Angie has offered to make cover art for Ficathon writers, just tweet or email her.

A certificate of completion (also made by Angie!) and bragging rights will be awarded at the end so that everyone knows you participated in and successfully completed the Summer Ficathon.

Need a beta? We recommend that writers pair up and beta each other’s stories. If you need help finding a beta, let us know and we’ll see what we can do to find you a volunteer.

What else? (Authors' notes are not counted. Also, is notoriously difficult for messing with word count so... honor system, guys!) Any genre or rating goes, and a series of related short stories/one-shots is a-okay.
