Author has written 2 stories for Naruto. Hello, readers. I'm glad you've chosen to read my stories, and will continue to produce the best material I am capable of on as close a schedule as I can. Please enjoy! Biography: I'd rather avoid including any personal details in this, despite it being a 'biography,' less because of any fear of misuse and more because I'd rather relate to you all through my writing - details about myself don't really help much there. I am a preposterous nerd both in the classical sense (I like comic books; science fiction and fantasy film, literature, television and games; anime, video games, board games, tabletop role-playing games, etc.) and in the more modern sense (I also enjoy classic literature and film, poetry, and non-fiction histories). While still involved in schooling, I hope to be done with that soon - though unfortunately it won't really give me any more time to write, since what time school swallows up will likely be replaced by work (well, heavens willing, that'll be true...). In writing here, my goal is to improve my writing style, figure out what about my writing people enjoy most (or, alternatively, dislike), and stop telling myself "I could do better than that!" when I'm reading others' work. Since, well, if I thought I could do better, I should probably put my money where my keyboard is (keyboard where my mouth is? What if I have an integrated keyboard as part of a laptop or tablet? This saying doesn't make sense anymore.). Works (Posted and Not): I have a lot of ideas for things to write, most of which will either never get done, or which will only appear years on - so instead, I'm only going to include here works that I have actually posted or at least laid some sort of groundwork for. Posted: Naruto: Birth of a Ninja (Epic-Length Naruto AU; beginning at the Bell Test - Kakashi takes his team's training seriously and tries to actually teach them - not only how to fight, but also life lessons and how to be a ninja. Through this, he inspires them to grow and change, and to work together as a team.) 13 chapters in, and going strong. I love this story, I really do. I haven't had a problem figuring out what's coming next since I started, and there's always so much more to write. If I had shadow clones, one would be assigned full-time to typing this story out. But I don't, so it comes along slower than I'd like.A Nine-Tailed Story (Unknown; Naruto isn't Naruto, but Konoha gets the same cockamamie story they got in canon. How will this reflect on the future, when Naruto thinks he's something he isn't? Who knows, since this isn't getting written any further at least for now) SUPER-HIATUS; I posted this years ago, and frankly don't have any idea what I was intending to do with it. I have a vague recollection of wanting to write a Naruto fanfiction pretty much unrelated to Naruto's growth as a "ninja" and more focused on his friendships and relationships, and eventually on the meaning of "life" as an immortal demon-chakra-entity. Still, I have no idea if I'll ever pick this up. Mostly it remains online as a lesson to myself about posting before I have any clue what I'm doing.Not Posted: Winter Knight (Epic-Length Song of Ice and Fire/Game of Thrones AU; beginning two years before the Winterfell visit - during a visit by the Tullys, Jon Snow impresses them, and is given leave to head south as a squire. This initially changes less than one might expect - but eventually more than one could imagine.) First chapter technically complete, but requiring editing - and I'd rather not post without a few more chapters outlined. I have many ideas for this story, particularly because it offers the opportunity to examine the pseudo-feudal world of Westeros in ways we never got to see in the books - and which we never see in most fanfiction either. "A Better Fate" by ColdHandsLuke definitely offered a little inspiration, but that fic literally skipped over the exact material I have the most interest in, so I think I'm safe in going ahead with this. Expect it sometime soon!The Broken Kunai (Top-Secret) Plot summary and opening written; as a one-shot, this shouldn't be as hard to post as it is. I keep finding little errors I want to fix, and points in the story I want to revamp. It will be out moderately soon.Posting Schedule (Rough): Naruto: Birth of a Ninja - One chapter every week or two, typically posted on Sundays. Winter Knight - Once it gets started, probably about a couple chapters a month. |
